Chapter 31: Brief retelling of two arcs

Events after Chapter 15

Brian uses the "Viper" serum, which triggers his regeneration but strips him of his sanity. In his attempts to restore his body, he resorts to any available resources, including human flesh. The police eventually stop him and send him to Arkham.

Doctor Fate foresees that the world is heading toward darkness, with Brian's obsession being the cause. Fate casts Brian into Hell, where he struggles to survive in its brutal environment. In his search for a way out, Brian encounters a powerful firelord. After a fierce battle, Brian defeats the firelord and absorbs his power. However, his mind is overtaken by Trigon, who sends him back to Earth to destroy Doctor Fate. Brian succeeds in his mission but is soon captured by the Justice League. Kent Nelson explains the arrival of an impending enemy and reveals that he is responsible for Brian's tragic fate, having tried to ruin his life after Brian gained his powers.

Trigon circumvents the League's efforts and captures Raven, using her as the key to open a portal to Earth. The Justice League engages in battle, but during the fight at the League's main base, Aquaman, under Trigon's control, kills Cyborg and helps Demon Brian break free.

The portal opens, and Trigon enters the world. The Justice League attempts to hold him back while a team led by Raven ventures into Hell to seal Trigon within his own realm. They are hindered by Brian, who kills the Teen Titans and gravely injures Raven. In the final confrontation, Raven breaks Trigon's control over Brian. Realizing the extent of his actions, Brian uses all his strength to help complete the mission, and they succeed—but Raven dies in the process.

Burdened by guilt for his mistakes, Brian takes it upon himself to guard Trigon's prison, ensuring he remains sealed and preventing Trigon from influencing him further. He vows to stand eternal watch.

End of Arc 2.

Events after Chapter 23

The Flash, tormented by guilt over the deaths of so many, struggles with a choice and seeks out Harrison Wells from Earth-2 for advice on fixing the situation. Wells validates his idea to travel back in time—but it turns out that Wells was Reverse-Flash in disguise (previously thought dead in this timeline).

Barry travels back in time to prevent the murder of Doctor Fate, hoping to give the forces of order a chance to protect Earth. However, events spiral out of control. When Barry returns to the present, he finds only scorched earth with no signs of life. The only surviving city is a ruined Gotham, now a haven for the remaining survivors. Wayne Manor, the last stronghold, shelters both villains and heroes. Barry confesses his mistake to Batman, and together they devise a new plan. Barry once again travels to the past, this time to stop himself and correct the timeline.

They manage to stop Trigon, freeing Brian from his control and restoring his humanity.

Meanwhile, Reverse-Flash teams up with the Joker, helping him procure chemical toxins. The deranged villain begins enacting his plan, planting bombs across the country. Sensing something amiss, Batman starts hunting for the Joker but falls into his trap.

The Joker detonates his bombs, showing Batman the destruction in real-time. Enraged, Batman breaks free and attempts to kill his nemesis, but Joker's body releases a deadly toxin contained in his blood, which begins to unravel Batman's mind.

Brian heads to Gotham, where he joins the Bat-Family to search for Batman. They bring him back to the stronghold in an attempt to cure him. In their quest to develop an antidote for Joker's toxin, they use Brian's blood to create the necessary formula. Batman regains some of his sanity but remains under the influence of the toxin, activating a protocol to eliminate the Bat-Family. He unleashes giant robots programmed to hunt down Nightwing, Brian, and Batgirl.

A deranged Batman gathers the Justice League, luring them into a trap designed to destroy them. Earth is left defenseless.

Brian and Batgirl survive and begin curing people affected by Joker's toxin. They rally the remaining heroes for a final battle. According to a vision by Doctor Fate, Barbatos has arrived on Earth, and he must be stopped. In the climactic showdown, all the evil versions of Batman clash with the heroes. The outcome of the battle remains uncertain.

In another part of the country, the Flash returns to the present and witnesses the catastrophic consequences of his time travel. He is attacked by the Red Death but is saved at the last moment by Green Arrow, who sacrifices himself to give Barry a chance to fix the timeline. However, Barry is thwarted by Red Death, and countless versions of the Flash begin tearing apart the fabric of time itself, until everything dissolves into nothingness, leaving Brian as the only survivor.

Lost in the void, Brian is approached by Death, who offers him a deal. Accepting it, he returns to the past but is stripped of all his powers.

From Chapter 31 onward, the story undergoes a reboot to make it more accessible for continuation.
