"Pack you bags" said my mom before rushing out of my room.

We were moving to Colorado because of my dad. He recently got promotion but he decided it would be better if he recommended transfer to his boss due to my studies.

And here I am, A Korean going to an American school.

This is my first day, I hope I don't get embarrassed in front of the whole class.

It would be a shame and a scar to my personality, That would never be erased from my life,

Or maybe I am overthinking all of this.

As I stood there on the gates of the school, The gaurd yelled at me, "Stop getting nervous man, Get over it."

He really must have been here for a couple of years now. He read me like a book.

I took a deep breath and walked forward.

The hallway was massive, bigger than the one in Korea.

I was born in korea but my English was good but that cannot be said for my dad, I wonder how he is doing right now.

Enough about him. I made up my mind that I will make alot of friends today. Even though, I was socially disabled back in korea. The only thing I did all day was play video games.

I walked into my classroom and one guy came flying down my face.

I was dumbfounded, The instant all of this happened, I knew that my stay here is going to be a bad one.

"Shut the fuck off and tell me how you got in this prison, Kiddo" said the prisoner accompanying me.

"Listen mate, There's alway a start of a story. Let me complete the introduction phase.

So where was I?"

"Flying classmate" said the prisoner while giving me an annoyed expression.

"..Right."

My classmate got up and rushed towards the guy who threw him towards me. He didn't even apologized, What a rude kid.

During midst of all of this, I took my seat and watched the drama emerge.

They were beating each other and no one was willing to listen.

Some people were trying to get them away but I was a fellow who enjoyed all of this stuff, I just watched quietly.

Soon the teacher came and gave them detention. The law of detention was always a mystery to me, Why would you prison students as a punishment, Isn't there any better ways to punish students?

"That's what they do to us here, let it be kids or adults. Was it any different in Korea?" said the accompanying prisoner.

"I guess you are right..."

Then came my turn to introduce myself,

I introduced myself as Jae-Hyuk and explained my unnecessary situation to the bunch of strangers that I don't even know about.

I sat there by the window. The extremely boring lectures went by and soon came the lunchtime. There I met my first friend in america, David.

"Wait, David is the one who got you in here, Right?" said the accompanying prisoner.

"Well it was partially his fault but he really wouldn't be the one to blame. Now let me continue."

So let me tell you about David and how I met him. It will be a wild ride from here.

Lunchtime came and I rushed towards the cafeteria and bought some rotting garbage since I forgot my lunch at home, It was way way better back in korea, Atleast it was somehow edible.

David sat beside me, Along with someone named Luis. We had a common interest in animes, We talked alot and a few days went by and we became extremely good friends.

The guy who got detention and opposition guy who was fighting him was also in the group of Luis and David, Though they weren't present there with us because they got suspended for a few days.

I didn't knew why they were fighting but I never bothered to ask Luis or David.

They told me that they will visit a abandoned building there in the town and asked me to accompany.

"And let me guess, you told them you are busy as you should as a responsible person and stayed out of the trouble." said the accompanying prisoner.

"No..."

While I was a careful student but I also wanted to make some school memories, Though that didn't end very well.

Me, David and Luis, Decided that Sunday's night will be the best time to do that, But what they didn't told me was that those guys who were fighting will also be there.

Days went by and the night arrived. My father wouldn't have cared even if I have told him all about this since he is so busy...

Growing up, He was absent a lot.

He would never find time for me.

While I was eating my dinner, My mom asked me if I was planning to sneak out of the house, I didn't told my mom about my plan but she knew it from the start.

She always read me like a book or maybe my boring face was too easy to read for others.

She hugged me and told me to stay careful, She said that "Sometimes fun memories can leave massive scars." I felt like she was speaking from experience.

However I didn't understood anything she said but I decided to be careful.

Then there was I, At the haunted house.

I was mildy shocked to see two faces that I didn't expected. The flying classmate and his opponent.

Their name was Emon and Rim.

Emon was a big guy, Almost 6 feet tall or maybe actually 6 feet tall and rim was a not so physically well guy.

He wore glasses and barely had any muscles.

Before I could ask anything about the fight. Emon looked at me and said "Welcome to group."

Now I think about it clearly, He was trying to be intimidate and be the "big brother figure" to me, the new guy. But shit sounded so corny. The mansion that we were going to explore was an abandoned mansion, It was massive.

According to the legends, A king ran away from it during the year 1189 because he saw his wife near the mansion, whom he had killed a day earlier and he died mysteriously near the cliff behind the mansion and no one really knows why it was abandoned but Vietnamese soldiers used it as a hide camp.

David said "Rim should we really be doing this?"

Rim said "Don't be a pussy, It will be just...a little bit... alright" while opening the front door of the locked mansion with a hairpin.

Rim discussed how we will split up and where we will meet again and showcased everything on a paper.

Me and Emon split up and Rim and Luis split up. Luis decided to go alone to prove his worth since Rim bet that he would shit his pants if he was alone, So Rim borrowed a camera and went first along with David.

Me and Emon decided to explore the basement.

And the rest decided to explore the first floor.

Nobody knew where Luis went but we had a walkie-talkie so getting lost was impossible.

While we were moving ahead, The atmosphere got really eerie. Bats were flying, Spiders were rushing to hide, It seemed like they didn't expected any new visitors. But something felt odd.

I should have returned home that day.

One of the room didn't had any dust or spider, I took my camera and clicked one image.

I asked emon if he was sacred or not but he laughed and said that this is his weekly routine, He said that he loved exploring places but then suddenly a dead lizard fell from above and he screamed like a scaredy cat.

"No need to put a tough front in front of me."

I said while laughing hysterically.

Then he stopped me and whispered in my ear that some criminals might be there because one of the room was oddly clean and criminals often use these places to hide.

We were actively communicating through the walkie-talkie but Luis wasn't responding.

I was starting to get worried, While we were walking. I asked Emon that why he and Rim were fighting and he told me that it's a long story, He told me that Rim and he grew together, In a neighborhood.

But few days ago-

While he was saying all this stuff something unexpected happened.

Emon stepped on something and an ancient cage fell over us, The sound from that cage fall was as so immense.

Even Rim and David heard it from the other floor, Just when we thought this is the worst situation and nothing can get even worse.

Luis's walkie-talkie connected and Luis was panting, He said in a distressful voice "Turn back...Right now."
