Bleach: I Have No Talent

Chapter 25: 24: Is it Love?

Shiro groaned as he got out of bed, his muscles aching from the intense training and the fight against Haku. He glanced around and saw that Aizen and Haruto were already getting dressed.

He rubbed his shoulder and muttered, "This is going to be a long day…" Then, an idea struck him—Kaidō.

Sitting back down, Shiro focused his Reiatsu into his hands, letting the familiar green glow envelop them. He pressed his palms to his sore arms and shoulders, feeling the energy seep into his body like warm sunlight melting away the tension. Bit by bit, the pain faded, replaced by a soothing sensation.

"There we go," he said, standing and stretching his arms. The stiffness was mostly gone, and he felt much better.

"Morning, Shiro," Haruto greeted as he finished tying his sash.

"Morning," Shiro replied, grabbing his uniform.

Aizen smirked from his corner. "You were out cold last night. Dreaming about anything interesting?"

Shiro shot him a look. "Just nightmares about losing to someone like you."

Haruto chuckled, and the three left the room, chatting and joking as they made their way to the first class of the day.

Time Skip: End of the Day

As the sun dipped below the horizon, Shiro let Aizen and Haruto head back to the dorm ahead of him.

"I'll catch up later," he called after them.

Instead, he made his way to the training field. The system might not assign him tasks anymore, but Shiro didn't care. The fight with Haku had been a wake-up call—his physical condition needed serious improvement.

He started with sword swings, gripping his Asauchi tightly.

"One… two… three…"

He counted under his breath, each swing more precise than the last. Sweat dripped down his forehead as he pushed past the burning in his arms. By the time he reached thirty, his hands trembled, but he didn't stop.

Push-ups came next, followed by sit-ups, and then a grueling 10-kilometer run around the academy grounds. Shiro's breathing was heavy as he leaned against a tree, watching the fiery hues of the sunset spread across the sky.

After a moment of rest, he stood and began walking back to the dorms, his body aching but his determination unwavering.

Halfway there, a hand suddenly landed on his shoulder. Shiro flinched, instinctively reaching for his Asauchi as he turned sharply.

"Whoa, easy there, tiger," a familiar voice teased.

Shiro blinked and let out a sigh of relief. "Yoruichi…"

She grinned, her golden eyes sparkling with amusement. "Didn't expect you to freak out like that. What's got you so jumpy?"

"I wasn't freaked out," Shiro mumbled, embarrassed.

"Right," she said, clearly unconvinced. "You almost drew your sword on me."

Shiro looked away, muttering, "Habit."

Yoruichi laughed softly, stepping in front of him. "You've been working hard, haven't you? Pushing yourself like this every day… Aren't you afraid of burning out?"

"I'll be fine," Shiro replied, brushing past her.

But Yoruichi wasn't done. She caught up to him, walking beside him with an exaggerated sway. "You're so serious all the time, Shiro. Lighten up a bit. You know, maybe crack a smile once in a while? It won't kill you."

Shiro sighed. "What do you want, Yoruichi?"

She smirked, leaning slightly closer. "Just checking on you. Though I have to admit, seeing you jump like that was worth it. You're kind of cute when you're flustered."

Shiro's face turned red instantly. "I-I'm not flustered!"

"Sure, sure," Yoruichi said, her tone dripping with playful sarcasm.

As they walked, Yoruichi suddenly stopped and pulled something from behind her back. It was the Shin'ō Academy robe Shiro had given her earlier. She held it out to him with a playful smile.

"After much thought, I've finally decided to give it back to you," Yoruichi said, her voice carrying a teasing lilt.

Shiro reached out to take it, and as their hands touched for a brief moment, he felt a spark—not the literal kind, but something that sent his heart racing.

Boom... Bum… Boom... Bum…

Shiro quickly pulled his hand back, clutching the robe. "T-thanks," he stammered, trying to avoid her gaze.

Yoruichi grinned knowingly. "You're welcome. You're blushing again, by the way."

Shiro turned away, muttering, "I'm not blushing."

"Whatever you say, hero," she teased, falling into step beside him.

As they walked, her expression softened slightly. "You've got determination, I'll give you that. But don't forget to take care of yourself, okay? There's no point in pushing yourself to the edge if you can't enjoy the results."

Shiro stared at her, his heart still pounding. "I… I will," he managed to say, avoiding her gaze.

Yoruichi smiled, her playful glint returning. "Good. Now go get some rest. You've earned it."

Without waiting for a response, she turned and disappeared into the shadows, leaving Shiro standing there, clutching the robe and trying to calm the storm in his chest.

After a moment, he shook his head and continued walking. "She's impossible…" he muttered, though a small smile tugged at his lips.

As Shiro walked back to the dorms, his thoughts drifted to Yoruichi.

"What is this feeling?" he muttered to himself. His heart had been racing since their encounter, and it wasn't from exhaustion. Was he falling for her? No, that couldn't be it.

"Right? I've only known her for a few days," he reasoned, shaking his head as if to dispel the thought.

But the memory of her teasing smile and the brief touch of her hand lingered, making his chest tighten.

Shiro sighed, frustrated with himself. "Focus, Shiro. You've got bigger things to worry about—like getting to 20% progress."

He opened the system interface, the familiar blue screen flickering to life in front of him. His Stats caught his attention first.

Shiro's gaze moved to his updated attributes, and he couldn't help but feel a tinge of satisfaction.

His physical training and the fight with Haku had clearly paid off. Shiro clenched his fist, feeling the subtle increase in power. It wasn't much, but every step forward brought him closer to mastering the template.

Then his eyes landed on a new notification.

System Notification:

You have 1 chance to spin for 1 A-rank Ninjutsu.

Shiro's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "An A-rank Ninjutsu? Finally, something good."

He opened the spinning wheel feature, which displayed a glowing circle filled with countless A-rank techniques. He recognized a few—Chidori, Rasengan, Great Fireball Jutsu, Water Dragon Jutsu—but there were others he'd never heard of.

Shiro took a deep breath, his finger hovering over the spin button. "Alright, here goes nothing."

With a click, the wheel began to spin, the names of powerful techniques flashing by in a blur. Shiro watched with anticipation as the wheel slowed down, the glowing indicator narrowing its focus.

"Come on… Something good," he muttered, leaning forward.

The wheel finally came to a stop, the golden light highlighting a single name.

Congratulations! You have obtained: Shadow Clone Jutsu.

Shiro's eyes widened in surprise. "Shadow Clone Jutsu?"

It wasn't an attack like Chidori or Rasengan, but Shiro immediately understood its potential. "This… This could be huge."

Shadow Clones weren't just decoys—they could act independently, train alongside him, and relay everything they experienced back to him. With this, his progress could skyrocket.

A grin spread across his face as he thought about the possibilities. "Looks like I've got a lot to work on tomorrow."

Feeling reinvigorated, Shiro closed the system interface and continued walking toward the dorms.

But in the back of his mind, a certain playful, golden-eyed woman lingered. No matter how much he tried to focus on training and progress, he couldn't shake the feeling.

As he reached the dorm and opened the door, Shiro shook his head. "One step at a time," he whispered to himself. "Training comes first."

Yet, deep down, he knew that Yoruichi had already left an impression on him—one that wouldn't fade so easily.
