Black Hand Over the Sky

Chapter 43: Chapter 43: The Search for the Murderer

"How's Dad feeling? Seeing his father James awake in the hospital bed, Anthony, who was guarding the side, rushed to greet him.

Looking at his eldest son with concern on his face, James forced a smile on his pale face and comforted him and said, "OK, it's just a small scene. It's not the first time. If you go down this road, you should be ready to face this day at any time."

Then James looked around the ward and frowned. "Where are your mother?" he asked. Is there anything wrong with them? '

Anthony, of course, knew what his father was worried about, so he quickly calmed down, telling James his considerations: "I didn't know what was going on at the time, so I didn't dare let them come over. I've pretty much figured it out now, so I've sent someone to pick them up. They should be here in a minute."

James was relieved to hear the family was all right and then asked: 'What the hell happened?'

Even now James has no idea what happened. You know, although he was the former boss of a gang, he had a lot of enemies. But he didn't think his enemies would have the guts to risk world opinion by attacking them with a massive thermal weapon in broad daylight in downtown New York.

So James even wondered if he was facing a terrorist attack on the United States, and that he was only a victim of the fish pond.

"I don't know exactly, but sources say it could have been the Eastern Europeans," Anthony replied.

In fact, Anthony himself is not so much approved of this statement, you know, the East Europeans even if they don't behave, but as a gang, there are some lines they have to observe.

The use of hot weapons on a large scale, in broad daylight in a downtown area, in full view of a violent law enforcement agency, as Anthony's father has assumed, would not be a gang, it would be a terrorist organization.

Just as James was about to ask more questions, the door of the hospital room opened and Anthony's mother and siblings were escorted into the room by an elite gang.

Looking at James as he lay pale in the hospital bed, they pushed past the angry elite surrounding him and huddled around the hospital bed.

In the face of the emotional family, James hurriedly spoke to appease, while scrambling, but also did not forget to give Anthony a wink to let him also out of the force.

Just then, a senior cadre quietly came in, came to Anthony's side. In his ear, he whispered, "Boss, I've got it."

Anthony nodded quietly, then ignored James' look for help, told his family he had a few things to take care of, and exited the room.

Dad, you're on your own.

In a plush office in the middle of the hospital that Anthony had commandeered, a group of angry senior cadres sat around.

Antony, looking sullen, thumbed through the papers he had just obtained, reached the end, and finally lost control and exploded.

Slamming the file down on the desk, Anthony fumed, "Are you kidding me? This is the evidence of their investigation, whether these rulers are used to deceiving the common people, so they use these tricks on us!"

Angrily pointing at the papers on the table, Antony laughed angrily and said, "This so-called evidence needs to be investigated! Just get a third-rate writer from Hollywood to write it up!"

Looking at the furious Anthony, the senior cadres of the angry gang were quiet and cold, of course, they themselves, themselves and others through the insider to get the official internal investigation report written on the evidence is how far-fetched. Anyone with half a brain can see the flaws in it. No wonder Anthony, a family member of the victim, was furious.

The atmosphere in the room was horribly cold, so each senior cadre looked at Gin, hoping that the boss's love would come out and say a few words.

Gin also lived up to his expectations, picked up the report from the table, turned it over twice, and then put it back again and said: "It is no wonder that such a big thing has happened, and the New York government must deal with it in the shortest time to quickly appease the people of New York City." As for the truth, not all gangsters are as nervous as you, the boss, about the leaders of their own gangs who attend the meeting. As long as you give them an outlet, they don't care what the truth is."

Anthony nodded darkly, a truth he was not ignorant of. Only after reading the official internal document report, he thought of his unconscious mother at that time, so he was furious.

Picking up the document again, Anthony pointed to two of the names on it and said into gin, "Doesn't it say that the two of them probably executed and planned this incident? Bring them back to me. I want to know the truth!"

'Yes,' said Gin, glancing at the names on it, and then he went out to do his business. The operation had to be quick. Now that the authorities had a lock on the man, it was likely that they would do it soon. They have to be brought back before the authorities do.

True to its name, Gin brought two men out of Brooklyn before dark, under the watchful eye of New York City's black and white.

Looking at the two strong men who were thrown on the ground like chickens by Gin, Anthony deadpanned and said, "Open their mouths. I want to know the truth!"

"Yes," Gin smiled grimly as he led the two men out.

Time passed, and Gin finally brought the result: "The boss has asked, they did do it."

"What?" Antony Pen frowned, and then muttered to himself, 'Is it really them? Am I wrong?"

'But...' 'said Gin just then, in a tone that sounded as if there were more to it.

'What's the matter? "Anthony said.

"When I interrogated them, it seemed like there were places where their memories were very confused, like they were controlled or hypnotized," Gin said, struggling.

"So..." Anthony sat down to light a new cigar, thought about it, then picked up the phone, dialed the number and said, "Jeff, come to me, now!"

Jeff, one of the three mutants of the Original Fury Gang, was also a man whose ancestors had followed the Antony family into the world. His ability is very special, according to him, his ability should be called danger sense. To put it simply, he can sense danger, sense anomalies. If a person is truly under control, he is the best person to identify.

Jeff arrived a few minutes later. At Anthony's direction, he went with Gin to identify the two captives, and soon the answer came. Jeff's judgment is the same as Gin's. They're both under control.

"Interesting! When Anthony got the answer, a harsh light flashed through his eyes. Combined with all the news, he had a guess in his mind.

After sitting down to think about it, Anthony picked up the phone again. He needed someone to ask about something, and he thought he might find the answer he was looking for in that person.

The phone rang and a familiar greeting came from the other side, with Anthony saying the same: "Long time no see, Mrs. Gao."
