BLACK CLOVER: Through the Looking Glass

"Where are we?" Alecdora muttered as he looked around in confusion, but his body remained alert.

"What…happened?" Solid said as he rubbed his head which was still swollen from Wilhelm's jab, who knowingly left it that way.

"A black sludge-like thing enveloped us and sent us far away from the Royal Kingdom." Charlotte replied as she checked her team members and after finding all three of them here, she nodded internally in relief.

"This must be the work of the Spatial Magic user, who is responsible for getting the enemy in the Royal Capital." Nozel commented with poison in his tone.

"If the magic user can teleport all of us from different places to such a distance away from the Kingdom, then the user must be quite strong." Klaus added.

"Then where is Captain Fuegoleon and his group members?" Alecdora pointed to those who were not present.

Moving his head around, with a grim look Nozel said, "The user must not be strong enough to teleport people from his location."

While this was happening, Solid taking advantage of everyone's confusion sneaked behind Wilhelm and then with a twisted look shouted, "YOU WILL PAY!!!" and attacked him with water mana skin covering his arm aiming for the head.

"No!" Mimosa shouted and Charlotte was about to intervene but his attack already hit Wilhelm on his head.

*CRACK*

*SHATTER*

…the illusion faded to present a mineral statue of Wilhelm and the sound of bones breaking in Solid's arms.

"AHHH!!!!"

Seeing this, without sympathy Charlotte told Nozel in a firm voice, "Control your squad member. Our capital is under attack, we are away from it and we don't have energy to waste on fighting amongst us."

"Don't tell me what to do." Nozel said dismissively and turned to Solid who was screaming on the ground clutching his hand, he said in a voice promising no pity, "Stop bringing shame to Silva name."

'Wait, if this was that kid's clone, then where is he?' Charlotte thought and looking at Yuno and Mimosa asked, "Where is Wilhelm?"

Positioning his glasses, Klaus replied, "He is most probably in the Royal Capital. Wilhelm has the tendency to create illusions, so he must have fooled the spatial magic user."

Hearing this, Charlotte did not know whether she should be happy that Wilhelm was there to save people or be angry that he did not trust anyone enough to appear in front of them.

While this was happening on this side, in the Royal Capital Wilhelm was airborne and invisible as he sped away started to check every location where Magic Knights were deployed to see if they were teleported too and the result painted a grim picture in mind for him.

'Everyone has disappeared from what I have seen and it is good to think Asta and his group have disappeared too. This means two things.

First, the spatial magic user is too strong. Stronger than Finral. I will have to kill him on sight. Too strong to leave alive.

Second, I am a lone magic knight here and I will have to do it all by myself.'

*BOOM*

But an explosion that followed diverted his attention towards the place where the Magic Knight Decoration Ceremony occurred.

'An enemy.'

Wilhelm declared internally as he sped up on his broom away in the direction of the explosion. As he covered the distance, he finally saw what was going on through the dust cloud. Yuno, who was glowing green with something that protruded from his shoulder. In front of him was Charmy who was looking at him with an indescribable face, and another old lady who lay on the ground listlessly.

'Hmm…if Yuno and Charmy are not doing anything to save her, she must be the enemy. Her grimoire also proves this fact, but it won't hurt to be careful.'

With this thought in mind, he created an illusion of his and sent it to talk to the pair, while he himself hid and listened into their conversation.

"Yuno." Wilhelm said and Yuno snapped to him instantly with a fairy floating beside him.

"Oh, it's you, Wilhelm." Charmy said causing Yuno's guard to be lowered.

"You did not get teleported?" Wilhelm asked Yuno and Charmy.

At this, Yuno shook his head in denial while Charmy made a confused face on his smol body and said, "Eh? Teleport."

"Yes Charmy, Royal Capital is under attack and Magic Knights are either killed or teleported to god knows where." He addressed her and then turning to Yuno continued, "Let's go. There must be undead left crawling in the Kingdom. In their absence, we will have to work overtime."

"Ummhmm…" Yuno hummed in agreement as he brought his hand and with a never-before efficiency from even him, he created a giant flying wind platform to travel.

'His magic power and control has gone up.' Wilhelm noted the change as they started to move around the place, dealing with the undead. But their number in some places was a whole lot more and too congested for Wilhelm or Yuno to shoot them down.

"Yuno, I am going down. I will kill those too close to the people, you deal with those that are in group and away."

"Okay."

Yuno replied as Wilhelm took his broom and started to dive right down onto the ground, softening his fall and just when he was at a certain height, enforcing himself with mana skin, he took out his sword, slashing an undead in half simultaneously using his magic to pierce the undead around him with mineral magic.

Without turning back to the civilians who were huddled and close to his back with tears and snot covering their faces shouted, "RUN!!"

*THWACK*

This was followed by the sound of tearing flesh when Wilhelm cut off multiple heads due to the range of Zweihänder. Seeing no movement behind him he shouted once again, "RUN, or I will kill you myself!!"

"He-heee!!" With a shrill cry, people behind him ran away stumbling along the way when Yuno shot a strong gust of wind to his side blowing away the undead.

*CRACK*

Smashing his armor-clad boot on an undead's head, he popped it. Quickly moving his eyes to the other civilians here, whom Yuno was trying his best to protect from undead without harming them, Wilhelm ran to those that were closest to him.

Keeping the shield in front of him, he performed a shield charge instead of using his mineral magic to conserve his mana that was running low after hitting targets that were not giving him much mana, and the mastermind of this whole charade was still left to be confronted.

"HWAA!!!"

With a grunt, he slammed the tapering end of his shield in the head of the undead that was closest biting a man who was trying to huddle back into a corner behind whom were other people, including a kid.

"Ahh!!"

The man shouted in fear as he saw the undead's head burst in front of his eyes and its blood spluttered over him. But Wilhelm did not stop there, and ducking a bit, he swung the sword around to cut off his head from the undead in front of him.

"Raaaww…"

With a prolonged sound, the undead lunged at him at which Wilhelm passed a bit of mana into his armor that expanded to his whole body, and gave him a helmet. Giving him more full body protection in turn for his mobility.

Seeing the undead still coming at him, he threw his shield in all the power his arms could muster and sent it flying in an arc, breaking through the heads of multiple undead before coming back to him.

'Huh, if Captain America saw me, he would be proud.' Wilhelm thought with a grin as he caught the shield that returned. Seeing that the area was cleared a bit, he shouted back, "All of you, run!"

"We-we can't! My daug*sniffle*hter is hurt!" The man shouted back through tears.

Immediately Wilhelm conjured fire in his hand and threw it back.

"Ah!!!"

"Fir-fire!! It burns!!"

"No-mama! It's healing!"

Ignoring the reaction behind Wilhelm said, "Run!"

"Thank you! Th*stumbles*thank you!" The man shouted as he ran with his daughter and some people behind. In response, Wilhelm went for a horizontal slash. One of the undead who was on the ground grabbed his leg but he stepped on it breaking his head.

"HmpA!"

Making a noise, he backhanded an undead who tried to encroach him, making it stumble back and then hacked his head. One of them tried to hit his back and was shot by Yuno, who after seeing that every civilian was evacuated shouted, "I am about to attack! Hold onto something!!"

As his voice fell on his ears, Wilhelm kicked an undead who was in front of him, and grabbed it, throwing him back at the group while he went inside the building, smashing through the wall and creating a cocoon of mineral that dug deep into the earth.

Just then, the wind started to move around rampantly, strong enough that it ripped the wall that he had broken through. It continued for what seemed like a minute when the debris finally fell, some of it over Wilhelm's cacoon but the mineral held on.

Getting out of it, he walked out of the ex-house and saw Yuno on his flying platform, eating on a table where Charmy prepared the food.

'Should I kill him? It's not as if he has any parents with him. I can also get his magic too.' Wilhelm thought with a dead look inside the helmet, but too tired to act on it, he walked to the table, removed his helmet and glove, cleaned his hands with fire, and started to eat as Yuno took flight.

The whole travel was filled with the sound of wind passing by and spoons hitting the plates. After that, they did not encounter a situation like before and only found hordes of undead that were about to attack that Yuno shredded through with his wind magic.

For some reason, Charmy was favoring Yuno more which made Wilhelm first confused, but then smile with malice. This caused Yuno to shiver, but before Yuno could confront it, Wilhelm said, "What is with the new transfor*nom nom* Yuno?"

"*Munch* New Spell. Wind Spirit. We combined. *GULP*"

Hearing the word, Wind Spirit, Wilhelm decided.

'Yeah, he gots to go.'

"Yuno, say if someone were to kill you, what would happen to wind spirit?"

At this, Yuno looked like he was about to say something but paused as if he was listening to someone, then spoke carefully, "Wind Spirit said she will find some other host and turn to haunt you."

"Nah, I think my magic will take care of it." Wilhelm spoke with much reassurance in his voice, which for Yuno made sense but knowing that Wilhelm was just joking, he did not mind it.

Then his eyes drifted to the houses that were burning and all of the blood that was lying on the ground.

'So much destruction…for what?'

As he contemplated, Wilhelm seeing his face did not decide to intrude and kept quiet during the whole ride. That was until…he saw something.

"Yuno! Asta is there!" As he notified him, Yuno's eyes snapped out of his usual demeanor who looked sharply into the direction where Wilhelm pointed.

There he saw that Asta was in a circle with Leopold, Noelle, and Fuegoleon who lay on the ground bleeding from his lost arm. Tree branches were protruding from the ground that surrounded them from all sides, and they were about to be shot with magic from all sides when…

*BOOM*

…a gigantic metallic construct slammed onto the ground, and from there appeared all of the magic knights that were teleported.

"Yuno, speed down." Wilhelm muttered as he raised his arm, pointing it at the group of people who were in white robes with a hood as his hand crackled with electricity.

On the other side, where Asta was lying behind the Magic Knights, with both of his swords in his hands shouted, "Who are you!?"

"We…are the Eye of Midnight Sun. Tehe." Replied one of them, who was a girl with black messy hair like a boy's, a wide-crazed look, and red-rimmed glasses.

"What do you want?" Asta shouted back at them.

"Well…many things that you should not know about. And you." She replied with a wide smile, at which Nozel put his foot down.

"Stop with this nonsense. I will find whatever I need to.

Mercury Magic: Silver Spear" Nozel launched an attack at the girl who acted as if

Gel Magic: Sticky Salamander"

Immediately, the girl, whose real name was Sally created a gigantic salamander made of gel, from where Nozel's spear easily pierced through but could not move any further, rendering them useless.

At this, Sally started to smile smugly while Nozel clicked his tongue in frustration. At this, not only Nozel, but everyone started to blast away at Sally without stopping.

"Water Magic: Water Snake"

"Earth Magic: Mother Earth's Wrath"

"Fire Magic: Fire Vortex"

"Stone Magic: Stone Bullet"

"Mist Magic: Mist Spider Binding"

"Glass Magic: Glass Spike"

But all of it was in vain.

"Hehe~This baby of mine is made from gel and can tank any and all attacks and come out unscath-"

"REGULUS AURUM!!"

*CRACKLE*

*BOOM*

But before she could finish speaking, a bright light followed, in the form of a golden lion that crashed into the salamander and exploded with an intensity that caused everyone, even magic knight captains to look in the direction of its source wide-eyed, who turned out to be none other than Wilhelm, riding on the top of flying platform created by Yuno.

"Are my eyes deceiving me…?"

"Th-how…? How could a peasant…have this much magic…?"

"…How is it…possible?"

Such comments came from people, especially Solid, Nebra, and Alecdora who looked as if they were cheated upon by their partner. But captains quickly moved their eyes away from him and looked in the position where Sally was…and found…nothing.

"Not even a corpse." Nozel said.

"The spatial magic user must have escaped seeing being affected by the attack. They even took away the rest of their members that we captured with them." Charlotte commented.

"Not fully true."

*SNAP*

Wilhelm whispered from behind them following which those members they captured appeared once again as a thin sheet of glass shattered.

"I saved those I could for interrogation…"

'…as for the rest. I could not capture them due to my greed for getting the power of Spatial Magic user and Soul Corpse Magic user.'

Wilhelm muttered as he completed his thoughts inside his mind.
