"You are making it seem like everyone is going to devour you or something," Mimosa joked.

"Yeah, right. Most people's egos would be bruised when a commoner is better than them. Well, I fucking don't care anymore," Akeru resolved himself for a fight tonight.

"Do you want to make a bet on whether people would fight me or not on their own initiative?" Akeru asked with a grin.

"Heh, what are we betting?" Mimosa didn't reject the idea outright.

"Hmm, I don't know," Akeru admitted. He had not thought about what to bet, as he had just proposed the idea on a whim.

"What about a favor?" Mimosa suggested.

"Oh, how do we define the limits of the favor?" Akeru asked.

"Actually, there is a document written on this topic, which is followed by everyone. To sum it up, it's basically a request which is not too outrageous," Akeru looked at Leopold, the latter nodding.

"Well, sure, let's go with that. I wonder what led to that document's creation," Akeru asked out loud.

The three royals looked elsewhere; the garden present here was very interesting.

"Never mind, I don't even want to know that anymore. I am on the side that fights will happen," he told Mimosa, and the latter nodded.

"Let's go in," Leopold suggested.

With that, they started going inside.

However, Mimosa tripped over her foot.

Akeru quickly created a water ball near his foot and kicked it such that it landed below Mimosa just before her face hit the ground.

It acted as a cushion.

"Woah, nice save," Leopold said while patting Akeru on the back.

'Ouch, did he intentionally use that much force, or is it normal for him? I can't tell,' Akeru thought.

"Thank you, I shouldn't have worn heels after all," Mimosa said while getting up.

"Yeah, those would be hard to travel in," Akeru commented.

Mimosa got up, and the water ball converted into water.

"Woah, how did you make that water ball act as a cushion?" Noelle asked, baffled.

"Hmm, it's similar to how one uses defensive magic with water. We need to arrange the water drops in such a way that it resembles that," Akeru said after gathering his words.

"I see. That would require good mana control," Noelle said.

Despite not being acquainted much with Noelle, Akeru could guess what she was thinking at the moment.

The other two present could also guess.

"Hey now, I don't have much mana, that's why control comes easier to me. The biggest obstacle for you is control. After doing that, your strength would increase phenomenally due to your magic reserves," Akeru tried to cheer her up.

'I am not even saying empty words. From the first arc, where she was like Stage Nine—or, more specifically, couldn't even hit somebody properly—to Vice-Captain Level or Stage One after the Elf arc is just ridiculous.'

Akeru was jealous. He had sensed her mana reserves a few minutes ago, and they were really big when compared with Leopold and Mimosa.

"Of-Of course, that's only natural for a royal like me. Just wait, I will leave you in the dust," Noelle said and made her way to the hall first.

'Now, that's the person I remember from canon,' Akeru thought while making his way with the other two.

"You really have a way with words, I believe," Mimosa suddenly said.

"Nah, I was only speaking facts. Royals are strong due to their humongous reserves. You can see several examples. Even without training, most of them could get stronger due to their reserves increasing," Akeru said.

They entered the hall, and Akeru felt several gazes on him.

'I knew that Noelle was being verbally bullied by most of her royal peers, but this is some next-level shit,' Akeru thought while looking at Noelle, who had a poker face currently.

He glanced at the Vermillion cousins behind him, seemingly asking them about this situation.

Leopold shrugged, and Mimosa shook her head.

Akeru could instinctively feel what they were trying to say by sensing their flow of Ki.

'I tried to do something before, but I lost.'

'Most Royals are just like that.'

Akeru furrowed his brows and then gave up.

'Well, whatever. Let's assume that she has her mental resilience training and leave it like that,' Akeru thought while going to the table with a variety of dishes present.

'The damage is already done long before today,' Akeru glanced at two Silva siblings who were very active in bullying Noelle.

Solid glanced at him back, and it seemed that he found a new prey.

"Well, well, isn't that the commoner who seems to have somehow gotten a position for becoming a royal? I didn't know that the Vermillion family starts recruiting trash."

Leopold was about to retort back, but Akeru beat him to it.

"Hey, Leopold, do you want to have a contest of who can eat more? I probably should get as much food as I can before the approaching storm."

"You are on," Leopold accepted his challenge.

Solid's face became ugly as he felt he was being ignored by the person he called trash.

Soon, Leopold and Akeru started eating like pigs.

No, more specifically, like elegant pigs, as they were still eating with etiquette. Just the speed at which they were devouring food was so fast that it looked unpleasant to the eye.

Solid tried a few more curses, but those were also ignored by either of them.

Mimosa was left to awkwardly look at them eating beside her while sipping on some juice.

"I've had enough. I challenge you to a duel," Solid said while pointing his finger at Akeru.

Akeru finally stopped eating and looked at him with a smirk.

"I refuse."

Solid was speechless for a second before biting back.

"Are you scared that everyone will find out you are not worthy of being a royal? I shouldn't have expected somebody like you to have pride," he taunted.

"Hehehehe," Akeru giggled.

"Mister, you shouldn't talk about pride when challenging a grimoire-less kid when you have a grimoire. Or do you find it fun to bully little kids because you know that you are going to be humiliated when you fight someone your size?" Akeru countered back before anybody could say anything.

There was silence before some people broke it with giggles or chuckles.

Akeru's point was valid, and it seemed it had hit his enemy's sore point.

Solid's face grew red.

"I've had enough. Let me educate you about how to be a royal!" he shouted while summoning his grimoire, and a large bullet started forming above his head.

"Heh, I won the bet," Akeru was not even fazed about a freaking bullet that could come at him.

Mimosa didn't reply as the situation he was in was not funny.

"I should not get in trouble now that he attacked me first, right?" he asked Leopold. The latter nodded with a grin.

"You should look at your enemy during a battle!" Solid said while releasing that large bullet.

Akeru felt the big red line on his gut increasing in size.

As the large bullet was released, Solid's eyes widened to the size of saucers as he noticed that a freaking fork clashed with the tip of his bullet and penetrated right through it.

The fork passed near the side of Solid's head and got itself stuck in a wall.

This all happened in a second, as the speed of the bullet was really fast.

Most people were astonished at what happened and didn't even see clearly what happened.

You blinked, and it was over.

Akeru's eyes widened as he felt multiple spider lines in the shape of a spiderweb heading at him.

What surprised him was the rate at which the red line got redder.

'Fast,' Akeru thought while crouching slightly and jumping back in a flip.

In the next instant, a spiderweb made of mist passed through where he was standing.

"Well, aren't you lacking in table manners? It seems you need to be taught that," Akeru looked at Nebra with a stoic face.

'When did she even open her grimoire? I knew that she was older, so she would be stronger than Solid, but this is ridiculous. I would definitely lose,' Akeru thought while carefully looking at each of her moves.

He felt multiple red lines appearing and disappearing.

'She is deciding how to attack me. I see no blue lines on her. Well, this would be fun.'

"Heh now, I thought we were not supposed to play with food, but nobody said anything about utensils, no?" Akeru said while using Moonwalk to close the distance between them.
