Billionaire's Runaway Wife Came Back With Babies

Chapter 7: Chapter 7 My Sister Wouldn't Lie

At this moment, one adult and two children were standing on either side of the coffee table atop a crystal platform, each with an expression grimmer than the next.

"I've said it before, no going out!" Xiao Sichen glared at his son.

Xiao Ziqian hugged his arms, baring his teeth, his exquisitely carved little face twisting ferociously like an angry little lion, "We won't listen to you! You're a liar, a bad guy! We're going out to find Mommy!"

"She isn't your mommy," Xiao Sichen said, looking at his daughter, his tone noticeably gentler than towards his son, as if to negotiate.

The little lolita paid him no heed, clutching her iPad, her face full of determination, convinced that Ye Ranran was her mother.

"I believe my sister! My sister wouldn't lie, unlike you!" Xiao Ziqian stood in front of the little lolita, angrily confronting Xiao Sichen.

A year ago, when the children first pestered Xiao Sichen about their mother, Xiao Sichen didn't want them to be overly fixated on finding her, so he pointed to 'Journey to the West' playing on the TV and said, "You're just like him."

The two little ones believed it, thinking they were like Sun Wukong, born from a crack in a rock.

But a week ago, at a neighboring president's birthday party, they were invited over and mocked by other children who presented evidence proving they had a mother, but Xiao Sichen had lied to them.

Ever since then, they regarded Xiao Sichen as a liar, no longer willing to believe anything he said.

Xiao Sichen had no patience for his son and only wanted to appease his daughter.

"Yaoyao, Daddy isn't lying to you this time; Miss Ye isn't your mommy," Xiao Sichen continued trying to communicate with his daughter.

But the little lolita seemed like a fairy immersed in her own world, blinking as though she hadn't heard a word her father said.

Xiao Sichen pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling incredibly exhausted.

Just then Xiao Ziqian continued shouting, "Sister can't be wrong; that is our mommy, and I'm going to take her to find mommy now. We're going to run away with mommy! We don't need you anymore!"

On hearing this, Xiao Sichen's anger surged, "You dare! Do you believe I'll call right now and have the Qingyun Guard arrest her!"

The little lolita's pupils dilated in shock at the mention, recalling Ye Ranran crying in fear of the Qingyun Bureau's Uncle Guard. She panicked, dropping her iPad and rushing to Xiao Sichen, gripping his sleeve and shaking her head like a rattle drum, indicating not to arrest her.

Seeing his daughter like this, Xiao Sichen felt both heartache and sadness; his precious little one had never defended him like this.

His heart soured with sentimentality.

But the little lolita, not getting a response, thought quickly. Associating with the sight of Ye Ranran crying, panic struck her, and she had an asthma attack, her shoulders trembling, hands clutching her chest, nearly suffocating.

"Yaoyao!" Xiao Sichen exclaimed in alarm, setting aside all else to pick up his daughter and roared at the butler, "What are you staring at, get the lady's medicine!"

The butler hastily brought the medicine, and the little lolita used the spray, then immediately passed out.

Xiao Sichen had no choice but to take his daughter to the hospital first.

Two hours later.

In the VIP ward of Mingde Hospital, the only sounds were those of the little lolita throwing things around.

Xiao Sichen stood there with doctors and nurses unable to do anything; the little lolita simply refused to take her medicine.

Dr. Lan Fengjin, in his white coat, entered the room, coming up to Xiao Sichen, "Ah Chen, why don't you ask Miss Ye to come over to persuade Yaoyao? I think Yaoyao really likes that lady, and mental illness requires psychological therapy. It's not working with us just standing off like this."

Xiao Sichen looked at his daughter, his brows furrowing. Indeed, the child was headstrong; without the person she acknowledged, they might hold her down all day without getting a single dose of medicine in.

"Fine. But this doesn't set a precedent!" Xiao Sichen finally acquiesced.

And when the little lolita heard Xiao Sichen say he was going, her eyes sparkled with anticipation, her cute face lighting up as if the previous tantrum hadn't come from her at all.

Xiao Sichen looked at his daughter, his gaze warm but his face filled with helplessness.

...

After Ye Ranran returned from the hospital, she first took five little darlings to the zoo, then to the market, where she bought lamb, seafood, and various vegetables.

They were going to have a sumptuous celebration.

Of course, she wasn't the one cooking, it was still the five little darlings.

She was a champion of dismal culinary attempts, and her sons had stopped eating the strange-tasting things she made when they were three. They had taught themselves and had completely won over her stomach.

After dinner, Ye Ranran went back to her room to take a bath, telling the children not to go out randomly.

Before long, the doorbell rang.

Ye Xingchen glanced at Ye Xingtong, "Scan it first."

Ye Xingtong opened his little computer, entered a system, and pressed "OK" at the security scan.

Two minutes later, Ye Xingtong said, "Xiao Sichen, Sheng Country's number one tycoon, safe."

Ye Xingchen nodded, then went to open the door.

Xiao Sichen was dressed in a black suit with a white shirt fitting snugly against him, except for the collar area which looked like it had water stains.

Ye Xingchen scrutinized him carefully, then revealed an extremely elegant smile, and spoke like a mature gentleman, "May I ask who you're looking for?"

"Is Miss Ye Ranran here?" Xiao Sichen asked.

He's looking for their mom?

This person surrounded them with a team of bodyguards yesterday, friend or foe unknown, for safety reasons, he'd better ask clearly...

"Yes, she is. Are you looking for her for some reason?" Ye Xingchen smiled, his small face exquisitely framed by the moonlight.

Such a face, shining like the sun, brightened Xiao Sichen's gloomy mood considerably.

"I need her help, may I come in? Here are my credentials." Xiao Sichen's voice was even softer than before, fearing the child wouldn't believe him, he deliberately took out his ID card.

Ye Xingchen seriously looked at the numbers on the ID card, nodded, and said, "Okay, follow me in."

Following that, Xiao Sichen was led into the villa by Ye Xingchen. When he saw the four other little ones, there was a moment of absentmindedness; these four children were also so perfect, especially the one dressed in a small black shirt, whose temperament and features bore an unexplainable resemblance to him.

"Mr. Xiao, please take a seat. Would you like some tea? My little brother makes good tea," Ye Xingchen said first.

He observed Xiao Sichen discreetly, trying to discern his intentions, but Xiao Sichen's composure was too strong for the child to see through.

"Thank you," Xiao Sichen said with a slight nod, his gaze also falling on the little darlings, his deep eyes hiding scrutiny.

Ye Xingchen glanced at his brother, and Ye Xingyu carefully brewed a cup of tea for Xiao Sichen, then went to prepare some refreshments.

"Mr. Xiao... please try this," little Ye Xingyu said with a reddened face, speaking somewhat stammeringly, "It's... it's pre-rain Longjing tea."

The stuttering appearance of the child was quite distressing, and Xiao Sichen, looking at him, was reminded of his pitiable little daughter, his brows knitting together.

"Babies, who are you talking to?"
