Chapter 4: Chapter 4 The baby is so cute, Auntie really likes you
"Brother, this villa has anti-detection equipment; I can't be sure," Mochi frowned.
"Ugh!" Xiao Sichen heard this and let out a snort of anger, almost savagely lifting his foot and kicking the door of the small villa.
He was radiating an aura of cold ferocity, his eyes were extremely intimidating and filled with a thick murderous intent.
Just then, with a click, the door of the villa opened from the inside.
It was Ye Ranran who came out.
Her large curls poured down, reaching her slender waist, shining brilliantly under the strong headlights. Although she stood there, it felt like she was on the glittering banks of the Yinhe, like a fairy holding a cloud of silk, or like a fox demon that had cultivated for a thousand years...
For at least five seconds, the scene fell silent, with everyone's eyes fixed on her except for Xiao Sichen.
"May I ask why you have come to my home?" she was the first to break the silence, then crossed her arms and scrutinized the man before her carefully.
Under the night sky, Xiao Sichen's black suit fitted him perfectly, outlining his tall figure flawlessly. Although he was backlit, he seemed to radiate his own light, like a deity descended from the heavens or like an ancient emperor cold and proud...
Xiao Sichen was looking at her—more precisely, he was looking into her eyes.
Those eyes seemed familiar to him, like the serene waters of autumn, like a sky full of stars, brighter than sunshine, their brilliance made it hard to look away.
"Sir, what exactly are you doing at my home?" Ye Ranran spoke again.
Xiao Sichen came back to his senses, his eyes coldly fixed on Ye Ranran.
"Hand over my daughter," he uttered five words, his voice as cold as his demeanor.
Ye Ranran thought of the little girl's words and lifted her chin slightly, replying in an equally cold voice, "You say she is your daughter, but where is the proof?"
"You want proof?" Xiao Sichen's eyebrows furrowed slightly, his face showing displeasure.
"Yes, I want proof. Bring me the paternity test or have it verified by the Qingyun Guard!"
Ye Ranran didn't care whether he was happy or not; she only believed the little girl. After all, in her eyes, a child who was not even five could not possibly lie.
"Hmph! What right do you have to demand proof from me!" Xiao Sichen's words were weighty, his tone thick with coldness.
"I may not have the right, but I have the obligation to protect a young child. Until you provide evidence of your parental relationship, I will not hand the child over to you!" Ye Ranran stood her ground.
Xiao Sichen fell silent, his eyes deep as the sea, shooting out a cold light straight towards Ye Ranran.
Such a gaze was too aggressive, like a sharp scalpel wanting to dissect her piece by piece, chilling to the bone.
Ye Ranran involuntarily shivered, but for the sake of the child, regardless of the potential harm from the man in front of her, she continued resolutely, "I now only trust the Qingyun Guard. If you want to take the child, wait for the Qingyun Guard to arrive!"
"Very well!" Xiao Sichen uttered two words, his expression colder than before.
Mochi, who had been watching the drama unfold, hurriedly stepped forward, fearing that his own brother might strangle Ye Ranran in a fit of rage.
"Miss, please hand the child over to us. It's true... We really are Xiao Bao's family. Just look at his face, he's so handsome..." Mochi pointed to his own brother's face.
Ye Ranran's brows furrowed slightly as she scrutinized the man before her.
His face seemed somewhat familiar.
However, she didn't dwell on Xiao Sichen's appearance, simply stating, "Bad people never write the word 'evil' on their faces. Similarly, just because someone is handsome doesn't mean they can't be a psychopath."
Mochi choked; there seemed to be no flaw in her logic.
"State your demands!" Xiao Sichen spoke succinctly, his icy face etched with impatience.
Ye Ranran didn't react at first, staring blankly at the man for a second.
Once she snapped back to reality, she bristled, "Do you think I'm extorting you? Sir, you've got it all wrong! I haven't sunk so low as to use a child to make money!"
As soon as her words fell, three black business cars sped toward them from a distance.
Ye Ranran secretly breathed a sigh of relief, thankful that the Qingyun Guard arrived just in time.
At the Qingyun Bureau, Ye Ranran held the little loli, quietly waiting for the Qingyun Guard to provide the file information.
Xiao Sichen sat there, an ancient layer of frost seemingly draped over him, and an air of 'Keep Out' floating over his head.
"Miss Ye, here is the child's household registration information. Look... the father is Xiao Sichen, indeed this Mr. Xiao," the Qingyun Guard opened the document with the photo, letting Ye Ranran see it clearly.
Seeing the photo and text, Ye Ranran was immediately mortified.
It turned out... he really was the little darling's father.
She turned her head, looking once again at the man with the super terrifying aura, pressed her lips together, and said with a sense of guilt, "I'm sorry, I thought you were a kidnapper trying to take the child!"
Xiao Sichen didn't respond, but stood up and moved swiftly to the child, opening his arms and saying in a softer voice than before, "Come home with Daddy."
However, the little loli shook her head, immediately clung to Ye Ranran, her little face fierce, unwilling to compromise and go back.
"Yaoyao, come home with Daddy!" Xiao Sichen spoke again, but the gentleness had vanished.
The little loli didn't respond, just clung to Ye Ranran.
A flash of displeasure crossed Xiao Sichen's face, and just as he was about to lose his temper, Xiao Mochi walked over, gently patting his arm, then smilingly looked at Ye Ranran, "Miss Ye, her grandparents are elderly and can't handle the shock. If they find out the child isn't coming back, it could really be a matter of life and death."
Ye Ranran was well aware of the stakes involved, gently stroked the little loli's back, kissed her on the face, and whispered, "Baby, if you don't go home, Auntie will be upset, you know. Can you bear to see Auntie upset?"
The little loli shook her head; she couldn't bear it.
"Then be a good girl and go home. Auntie can leave you her phone number, and we can video chat anytime, okay?"
The little loli pursed her lips, looked back at her biological dad, still hesitant.
"Baby, if you don't go back, Uncle Qingyun Guard will have to lecture Auntie, and Auntie doesn't want to be lectured by Uncle Qingyun Guard... Auntie is scared too... wuwu..."
Finally, the little loli nodded and reached out her small hand to her biological dad.
Xiao Sichen, who was prepared to snatch his daughter back, had eyes filled with complex, unsaid words. He took out his phone with a complicated look and handed it to his daughter.
Then his gaze landed on Ye Ranran, his thin lips coldly pressed; she was the first person he had seen who could influence his daughter.
He knew that both his daughter and son inherited the Xiao Family's bad temper genes, either causing trouble or refusing to eat at the slightest disagreement, each acting like little devils more than the other.
Ye Ranran, unaware of these things, only found the little loli soft and adorable. As she took the phone to input her number, she gave another kiss, "Baby, you're so cute, Auntie likes you so much."
The little loli, praised by Ye Ranran, beamed with pride in her big eyes, watched her enter the phone number seriously, and only then contentedly left her embrace, trotting toward her biological dad.
"There, the phone number is in. Call this number whenever you miss Auntie!" Ye Ranran handed the phone to the little loli.
The little loli held the phone as if it were a priceless treasure, nodding solemnly.
