Billionaire's Runaway Wife Came Back With Babies

Chapter 11: Chapter 11 Are You in Love?

"What's the good news?" Ye Ranran asked curiously.

"It's... I might be getting married soon." Tang Siqi's lips curved upwards, beaming with sweetness.

Ye Ranran immediately widened her eyes, stood up, and clasped Tang Siqi's hands, "Really? Congratulations then."

"I knew you'd be the first to bless me after I told you," Tang Siqi said as she embraced Ye Ranran, then whispered in her ear, "Do you want to know who it is?"

"Well, to be honest, I'm quite curious," Ye Ranran admitted openly.

Tang Siqi smiled, turned, and walked over to her desk, "First, let me show you something."

After saying that, she opened a drawer, took out a pre-prepared document, and walked towards Ye Ranran with a face brimming with happiness, handing her the document.

Ye Ranran received the document, and before opening it, she asked, "What is this?"

"Just take a look, you'll understand after you've seen it," Tang Siqi teased intentionally.

Ye Ranran slowly opened the file, and the first thing she saw were the words "Paternity Test Report." As she unfolded and read through it, she arrived at the conclusion which said:

[Upon verification, Tang Siqi and Xiao Ziqian, Xiao Jinyao have a biological kinship. Tang Siqi is identified as the biological mother of both individuals.]

Xiao Ziqian, Xiao Jinyao?

Upon reflection, weren't those the names of the two kids?

So... Tang Siqi is the biological mother of the two children, which means her marriage partner must be Xiao Sichen?

"The two children I lost years ago have been found, right by Ah Chen's side. You don't know how… I always had a special fondness for the kids, feeling like they were linked to me. I didn't know why back then, but now it all makes sense, of course, they are related to me—they're my own flesh and blood. Ranran... would you be happy for me?"

Tang Siqi held Ye Ranran's hands, gazing at her earnestly.

Ye Ranran nodded, "Of course, you've wanted those kids for over four years, I'm definitely happy for you."

"I knew it, you're my best friend, you'd definitely be happy for me." Tang Siqi hugged Ye Ranran again, a nearly undetectable shadow flashed across her eyes, but she spoke in a tender tone, "I have yet to show this test report to Ah Chen, once he sees it, our families will discuss marriage. When that time comes, will you be my bridesmaid, okay?"

"Of course," Ye Ranran agreed readily.

"Then... there's one more thing, I'd like to make a willful request. Would you agree to it for me?" Tang Siqi held Ye Ranran's hand, puffing up her cheeks like a delicate child.

"What do you need, Miss Tang? Tell me, whatever it is, I'll make sure it's done. Is that okay?" Ye Ranran laughed as she poked Tang Siqi's cheek.

Tang Siqi gripped her hand, pressing her face to her palm, and said gently, "I knew you'd be the best to me, so... could you write a pledge, promising you won't fall for Ah Chen, and that you won't disagree with me on these matters?"

"A pledge?" Ye Ranran frowned, completely surprised by Tang Siqi's request.

"You know, I was betrayed by a close friend before and got pregnant with the kids. I have a psychological shadow. I'm afraid I might have feelings for you too. Just write it, will you?" Tang Siqi said, tears streaming down desolately.

Ye Ranran looked at her, caught between laughter and tears.

Tang Siqi's story was like something out of a novel. She had a childhood sweetheart boyfriend but was stolen away by her best friend at the time, then got drunk one night, slept with a KTV Young Master, and had a pair of dragon-phoenix twins.

Ye Ranran could understand Tang Siqi's emotions, but writing such a pledge made her feel somewhat uncomfortable.

It made her feel as though Tang Siqi's trust in her was too low.

"Ranran… if... if you don't write, I could choose not to get married. I can't lose you as a good friend. Men can be found again, but a good friend is irreplaceable," Tang Siqi cried, gasping for breath, a pitiful sight in her tearful distress.

Ye Ranran's heart was soft, and she didn't want Tang Siqi, her life-saving benefactor, to feel bad. Besides, she was aware of the gulf between her and Xiao Sichen.

Two people with nothing in common, writing a guarantee letter was no big deal.

"Alright, alright, don't cry. Isn't it fine if I promised to write the guarantee letter?" Ye Ranran gently patted Tang Siqi's back.

The woman's tears disappeared as swiftly as they had come, and she looked at Ye Ranran somewhat excitedly, "Really? You... You don't feel wronged?"

"There's nothing to feel wronged about, I don't like your A'Chen, writing something like this is no problem," Ye Ranran said.

So, Tang Siqi took out a piece of A4 paper and then dragged Ye Ranran to the office desk.

"I'll say a phrase, and you write it down, okay?" Tang Siqi said.

Ye Ranran nodded, pen in hand, ready to write.

"I, Ye Ranran, promise that I will never fancy Xiao Sichen in this life. In my eyes, he's no different from a random cat or dog, not worth my attention. Should I fall for him, let me be doomed. Guarantor: Ye Ranran," Tang Siqi dictated.

Ye Ranran shook her head as she wrote; she thought Tang Siqi was being childish.

"Here, done," Ye Ranran handed the guarantee letter to Tang Siqi.

This put Tang Siqi's mind at ease, and she hooked her arm around Ye Ranran's, cooing, "I knew Ranran was the best. The most correct thing I've done in my life is to save you at the mental hospital!"

After Ye Ranran left the hospital, Tang Siqi adjusted her emotions. She wanted to visit the little Lolita but was refused by Xiao Sichen.

She knew to maintain a sense of proportion, didn't cling on, and simply left a 'good night' before heading back to the duty office first.

Watching Tang Siqi walk away, Xiao Mochi approached his older brother.

"The blood sample of Tang Siqi is already in Lan Fengjin's hands; he's working overtime on it. The results should be out in at most two days," Xiao Mochi said.

Xiao Sichen nodded expressionlessly.

"If it's Tang Siqi, what are you planning to do?" Xiao Mochi had wanted to ask this for a while but hadn't found the opportunity.

Today, seeing the influence Ye Ranran had on the two children, he felt it was necessary to have a serious talk with his brother.

"What do you think?" Xiao Sichen countered.

Xiao Mochi's mouth twitched wordlessly, "Brother, I'm not the one involved; how would I know what you think? If it were me, I'd give a sum of money and let everyone continue with their own lives, but you're different; you have the pressure from our parents too."

"Hmm," Xiao Sichen frowned, his demeanor inevitably becoming grave.

He lowered his eyes to his slender fingers, remembered that pale wrist, and that inexplicable sense of familiarity... A hint of ambiguous light flashed in his deep pupils.

Although the light was fleeting, the observant Xiao Mochi caught it.

His brows lifted slightly as if he had thought of something. He leaned forward with his hands on the table, sniffing around his brother's clothes like a Husky wagging its tail.

Then, shifting the topic, "Ow… Brother, something's up with you, you have a girl's scent on you, are you in love?"

Xiao Sichen's face darkened, and through gritted teeth, he said, "Stay away from me for a start!"

"Ow... No, that's wrong, brother, you do have someone you like. You're all covered in her scent." Xiao Mochi persisted in his questioning, "Curiosity killed the cat, brother, tell me already!"
