Chapter 271: Chapter 271 The Way Home Part 1
It was almost noon when U-ri arrived at the seashore. His progress was very slow, because he was also treating the injured while walking towards the seashore. At this time, Meiji started to cry, and U-ri thought that Meiji must be hungry. He was looking around for a place to milk the goat when he saw a woman walking towards him.
"Dear sir," the woman said with a smile. "Please come and have lunch with us. You must be very hungry. I see you have been here all morning helping the injured. We have lunch there." She pointed to a group of people not far from where U-ri was standing.
"Thank you," U-ri said with a smile. He looked at the goat, then at the woman. "Ma'am, do you know anyone who know how to milk a goat?"
The woman looked at the goat, then at U-ri, she said, "We have enough food over there, we don't need to milk the goat."
U-ri said, "This is not for me, but for my grandson. My grandson hasn't eaten since this morning."
The woman giggled and said, "If it's for your grandson, sir, you don't have to worry. Come with me. Those daughters-in-law sitting over there should be able to breastfeed your grandson." She glanced at the group of people, waved to a few women sitting not far away, attracting their attention. "Hey, those daughters-in-law sitting over there, is there anyone willing to feed this gentleman's grandson?"
A chubby young woman looked up and found that the person in front of her was none other than the kind-hearted doctor who was treating her son's and husband's burns. She stood up and said, "Bring the child over here, I'll feed him."
U-ri d dragged the white goat carrying his medical supplies and Meiji towards the chubby woman. He picked up Meiji and handed Meiji to the woman. "Thank you, ma'am," U-ri said with a smile.
The chubby young woman smiled and said, "No, thank you. You saved my husband and children. This is the least I can do."
The women and men sitting in a circle looked up at U-ri and began to talk.
"Sir, if your grandson needs feeding, please take your grandson to my wife. We will be more than happy to feed him," one man said.
A young woman said, "As this sister-in-law said, you have saved so many of us, making sure that your grandson is well fed, is the least we could do to thank you."
One man stood up and pulled U-ri to sit down. "My wife is feeding your grandson; you should eat some too." He smiled at U-ri and put a bowl of soup in U-ri's hand.
U-ri looked at the people sitting around him and was happy to see them smiling after such tragedy. He brought the soup to his mouth and took a sip, his eyes falling on the woman sitting opposite U-ri who was smiling and breastfeeding her child. U-ri's heart was filled with happiness, because this is the moment when doctors are most proud of their work, and it is also the moment that every doctor wants to see.
"Thank you, this soup is delicious," U-ri said and continued to drink the bowl of soup. He looked sideways and saw that the chubby young woman had already started feeding Meiji. When he saw nine of Lixin's men walking in his direction, he felt relieved and quickly finished eating. U-ri put down the empty bowl and rushed towards Lixin's nine subordinates.
Shi walked beside Jin and said, "There are no boats that can go out to sea. We have to find something to make a raft." He looked around and found that only the ashes of burned wood were left.
Jin said, "We went back to the north side of town, where the fire hadn't spread yet. We could find some decent stuff to make a makeshift raft."
Xiang sighed and looked around. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and said, "That's it. We have to rush out as soon as possible to ensure that nothing happens to His Highness and Lord Lixin. Returning without Prince Bong and Lord Lixin, our fate would basically be equivalent to a death sentence."
Jin looked up and saw U-ri walking towards them. "Hey, that's Sir U-ri," he said, waving to U-ri. "Sir U-ri."
U-ri asked, "Did you just come back from the sea?"
Shi shook his head and said, "No, we are about to go out to sea to find Prince Bong and Lord Lixin."
Jin sighed and said, "But we didn't find any usable boats or anything that would help us stay afloat."
Heng said, "We want to go north of the city and find some things to make a temporary raft."
Ping asked, "What are you doing here?"
U-ri said, "I originally wanted to take Meiji out to sea, but when I saw Hajime's eagle flying towards the sea, I quickly gave up the idea. Moreover, the location of Kinigan Island is so secretive and heavily guarded that without the right guide to Kinigan Island, I might have been lost at sea forever, so I quickly gave up on the idea. You guy should too." He found that he still had a marking talisman on him, so he reached into his robe and threw the red talisman into the sky. He turned to look at the nine Misicks. "This is my marked location. Yul and the others will know where to find me. If someone got hurt, and I mean if, they would come here to me."
Ping said, "What Sir U-ri said is also correct. We do not even know where Kinigan Island is located. Going in blind is the same as looking for a needle on the ocean floor."
Feng said, "Then let's just wait here with Sir U-ri." He turned to his teammates. "Do you all agree?"
Jin said, "I think this is the best option right now." He looked at his tired teammates. "Let's go find something to eat and wait here with Sir U-ri."
U-ri said, "I'm eating with the people over there." He pointed to a group of people sitting on the ground not far away. "Let's go have a bowl of soup and wait for Yul and the others."
The four Tanzanies, two Misicks and fufu flew high over the sea on the backs of three eagles. When they were about to return to the peninsula, they saw U-ri's marker lights up in the sky not far away.
"Over there, that's U-ri's marker," Michio said, pointing to the right side of the peninsula. He looked down at Fufu, whose head rested on his left shoulder. "Lady Fufu, hold on a little longer, once we reach U-ri, he will treat your wound for you."
In a large open space, the first eagle carrying Michio, Lixin and Fufu swooped down and landed. As soon as the eagle landed, nine of Lixin's men saw that Lixin was seriously injured and rushed to the eagle's side.
Jin, Xiang and Feng help Lixin get off the eagle's back, while the others help Michio help Fufu get off the eagle's back.
Michio shouted, "U-ri, come and help her quickly!" He carried Fufu in his arms and ran to U-ri.
"Ma'am, please take care of my grandson," U-ri said to the chubby woman who was still feeding Meiji.
The chubby woman said, "Don't worry." She pointed to the tent. "You can treat the lady's wounds over there. It will give her more privacy."
"Thank you," U-ri said, picking up his medicine bag and letting Michio follow him toward the tent.
U-ri asked, "What's wrong?"
Fufu snorted and said, "My left arm and left leg. I think my leg is broken."
Michio put Fufu on the straw mat and quickly walked out of the tent. When Michio walked up to the gathered group of people, he found that Shi had already begun to treat Lixin's wounds. He looked at the people sitting on the ground and found a woman holding Meiji. He was about to walk to the woman when a second eagle dived into land, so instead of walking to the woman and take Meiji, he rushed towards the second eagle and helped Yul off the eagle's back.
"U-ri, is U-ri safe?" Hajime asked worriedly.
Michio said, "U-ri and Meiji are both safe."
Hajime felt a little relieved when he heard that U-ri and Meiji were safe. He asked, "Where is U-ri?"
Michio said, "U-ri is treating Fufu in that tent." Michio looked at Yul's chest and found that the wound on Yul's chest was still bleeding. "Yul, you look paler than before, are you alright?"
Yul groaned in pain and said, "I'm fine. How is Meiji?"
"He is now safe in the care of a local woman," Michio said.
Yul grunted and almost fell to his knees, so Hajime and Michio had to pick him up and drag him towards a group of people sitting eating lunch.
An older man walked up to Hajime, Yul and Michio. "Take off his robe," he said, grabbing his medicine box. He looked at Hajime and Michio. "I'm also a doctor." The old man looked at the large wound on Yul's left chest. "Fortunately, the wound is not deep, otherwise you would have died long ago." He took out a bottle of medicine. "This will sting." He poured the potion on the wound on Yul's chest. After carefully cleaning the area, he applied medication and bandaged it. The old doctor continued to treat Yul's hand using the same treatment method.
