Chapter 10: Chapter 09
Michael dismissed any impulsive thought of challenging the Doomsday Beast to a dance battle from his head.
He pretended he hadn't seen that mission.
Heh, why don't you call Nanook and tell HIM to come personally have a dance battle with me?
Michael couldn't say why, but he felt extremely irritated after reading Aha's task description.
Fortunately, the system missions weren't obrigatory and didn't have any time limits or consequences for failure, so he didn't have to worry about it much more.
Michael decided to throw that mission to the back of his mind and turned his attention to the Random Skill Ticket he hadn't had the chance to use before.
All Michael had to do was wish, and a ticket similar to a lottery ticket appeared in his hand, except there was nothing to scratch off.
After thinking for a few seconds, Michael decided to tear the ticket, and as soon as he did it, a bright purple light almost blinded him.
At least there was no one around to witness it. But then again, there were so many strange things in this universe, so a ticket that glowed when teared probably wasn't anything too impressive.
After adjusting his eyes for a while, Michael looked at the translucent blue screen in front of him.
[Mina Ashido's Dance Skills — ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆]: Receives Mina Ashido's dancing skills from the anime My Hero Academia, increases your Dance Stat to D+ and when dancing specifically Breakdance, your Dance Stat increases +1 grade.
Michael: ?
Michael threw the remains of the ticket on the floor in anger and stomped away.
This B*llshit!

Michael returned to the checkpoint where Asta was.
Unlike half an hour ago, the frown on her face had visibly relaxed and she looked much more composed than she initially did.
As soon as Michael approached, she noticed him out of the corner of her eye and turned to face him with a smile.
Asta: "Hello, Michael. Thank you for what you did earlier, the researchers are surprisingly much calmer after listening to your music, it's like all the sadness has been washed away at once."
"No need for thanks, I was just helping someone who helped me before."
Michael answered truthfully. Before he transmigrated, this body had been helped by Asta, who rescued him and even let him stay at the Space Station this entire time even though he wasn't a researcher and didn't contribute to anything.
Even though this was a debt from his "previous self", Michael was still someone who knew how to repay the help of others.
Asta: "Don't mention it, you're making it bigger than it really is."
Asta shook her head, even though there was a small trace of satisfaction in the curves of her smile. She soon asked curiously.
Asta: "Himeko told me the name of the song you sang was Isabella's Lullaby, is that true?"
"Yes, it is, is there a problem with that?"
Asta: "No way! I was just wondering if you wouldn't mind if we played the record on the Space Station from now on."
"Of course not! In fact, I was just about to ask you if I could get the record of it later to post on the internet."
Asta: "That's great! I'll ask the researchers to support your StarTube account then, just send me a message."
Michael nodded. He already had Asta's number in his phone, as his "previous self" had exchanged contact information shortly after they met.
Coincidentally, just as they finished exchanging a few words, the Astral Express crew returned.
March 7th was the first to speak, approaching Asta and asking how things were going.
Asta: "For now we're managing to hold our ground, the Antimatter Legion has been pressuring us with just Voidrang-"
!!!
Not even giving Asta a chance to finish her words, the Space Station shook violently. Michael, caught off guard, almost fell to the ground if it weren't for Dan Heng beside who supported him in time.
Looking up, everyone could see the checkpoint illuminate with a reddish light as one warning screen after another covered their vision.
Asta skillfully manipulated the screen in front of her, revealing the footage from the external security circuit that revealed the situation outside: the energy barrier protecting the Space Station was being broken through by the hands of a huge humanoid metallic beast.
The Doomsday Beast.
Asta's expression hardened, but she, as the head researcher, could not afford to even show the slightest bit of concern.
Her first reaction was not even to coordinate her people, but to turn to the crew of the Astral Express.
Asta: "You guys go away! I'm staying!"
There was no need for further words between Asta and Himeko, she simply nodded in acknowledgement and prepared to leave.
Asta: "Himeko, please take Michael with you, he's not even part of the Space Station staff and there's no reason for him to stay here and be in danger..."
Michael: ?
Sis, what do you mean by being in danger? Going with these people, aren't you already sending me on a direct pass to breakdance with the Doomsday Beast?
Michael wanted to protest, but as soon as his mouth opened, Stelle had already dragged him away by the collar after Himeko told them to go.
Michael felt that somehow the universe was conspiring against him, but at that point, there wasn't much he could do.
If he told everyone that the Doomsday Beast was waiting right at the back door to kindly invite them to have a tea party, how would he explain it?
Would he say he knew about the future? Either he would be considerated a lunatic or they would believe him, but that would eventually lead Michael to have a tea party with Elio, who was the emanator of the Finality.
In both cases, he was f*cked.
Wisely choosing to remain silent, Michael allowed himself to be dragged along by Stelle as he played with the system shop.
After passing through curves, straights and turns, the group finally stopped at a storage zone after Himeko suddenly slowed down, stopping in front of the door that led to the unloading zone with a serious and thoughtful expression.
Himeko: "We lost communications..."
Dan Heng: "Are you thinking of going back? Let me remind you: that thing out there is the Doomsday Beast, the planet destroyer of the Antimatter Legion."
Himeko: "The Space Station is Herta's creation, as long as a Ravager Lord doesn't descend onto that ship himself, there shouldn't be any problems."
March 7th: "But we can't just run away like that..."
Dan Heng: "The Doomsday Beast can shred the defense shield like a sheet of paper, and Herta isn't even here. The Station's defenses are too weak to withstand the Antimatter Legion's invasion."
Dan Heng: "Furthermore, they have Nanook's blessing supporting them, while we are not prepared at all..."
Himeko: "That's why we have to take Stelle with us..."
Michael was listening to the conversation in silence when Himeko suddenly turned her attention to him, smiling subtly.
Himeko: "And Michael is here to help us too."
Michael: ?
Sis, you think too highly of me, don't you? If the Doomsday Beast takes one step, ten of me will fall to his left, and if he takes another, ten thousand more of me will fall to his right!
Ignoring Michael's absurd expression, Dan Heng frowned slightly and asked in confusion.
Dan Heng: "Are these two really that important...?"
Himeko: "Stelle will help us turn the game, as for Michael..."
Himeko pointed at the mask hanging on Michael's waist, and Dan Heng followed her line of sight, revealing an expression of understanding soon after.
Dan Heng: "Alright. What do we have to do then?"
Himeko: "This passage leads to the nearest railway line, we will meet up with Welt."
March 7th: "Mr. Yang? Is he at the Station?"
Dan Heng: "The Astral Express tracks our coordinates in real time, with such a big change around the Space Station, it's impossible for him not to have noticed."
Himeko: "Exactly, I can assure you that Mr. Yang is already on his way."
Himeko: "If it's just the Doomsday Beast, we can handle it. But if the Bringer of Destruction joins the battle..."
Stelle, who had been left out during the conversation, turned to Michael with newly awakened curiosity and asked.
Stelle: "What is an Emanator?"
"Uh... You can think of them as very religious people."
Stelle: "Like priests?"
"Are they more like popes?"
Himeko, who was listening to the two's conversation, couldn't help but roll her eyes slightly and hurried the group along.
Himeko: "Let's go, standing here won't get us anywhere."
Everyone nodded in agreement, and soon began following Himeko down the shortcut she had mentioned.
After dealing with a few trash mobs along the way, something Michael let the others do for him, the group finally reached the landing zone.
Michael followed the Astral Express crew closely, but he wasn't very excited.
Just as they reached the highest platform, a strong breeze forced them to stop. Dan Heng alerted March 7th, who was further ahead, and looking up, the metal shell of the Doomsday Beast towered over the landing zone, defying physics with its massive body that was still extremely agile.
Himeko: "It really is the Doomsday Beast..."
Himeko's expression was serious, casting a sidelong glance at Stelle, who did not understand the gravity of the situation with her expressionless marble face.
March 7th: "Hey, you old junk! Come down here if you dare!"
While everyone was distracted by the sight of the creature, March 7th provoked the Beast before anyone could do anything and, as if answering her call, it descended towards the landing platform.
Michael almost has blown away by the relentless wind caused by the Beast's landing, but luckily Stelle was holding him.
March 7th: "Me and my big mouth..."
March 7th was regretting his words, freezing in front of the Doomsday Beast's gigantic arm swinging towards him.
Just as she was about to be hit, Michael timely jumped forward and knocked her to the ground, causing the Beast's arm to narrowly pass over their heads.
"Don't just stand there, step back."
Michael helped March 7th to his feet, taking a few steps toward the Doomsday Beast with practiced calm.
March 7th: "Uh? What are you doing?"
March 7th, confused by Michael's attitude of approaching instead of retreating, asked.
Michael, however, did not respond, he took out a white embroidered glove from his pocket and suddenly threw it towards the Doomsday Beast.
"Come, Beast! I challenge you to a dance battle!"
March 7th: ?
Himeko: ?
Dan Heng: ?
Stelle: ?
Asta who was watching through the security camera: ?
Michael: Say nothing, just call me Aeon of Hee-Hee.
