Barbaric realms

"This should fish your training," 

Shai stood in the middle of the training ground battered with her wounds wrapped by Athena, her side stopped bleeding, but her head was throbbing from the kick to the head Hermes gave her, her body ached but she felt strong even with her pain. 

"Shai," 

Shai stared up at Zeus and he smiled at her, he watched her battles and was stunned by what she had accomplished. He didn't believe a human would be able to put up much of a fight... she has broken that lower explanation. She fought with her weapon like it was part of her. the makers of the weapon couldn't even hold it in their hands, but Shai could hold it like it was a part of her. 

"You have met above my expectations Shai," Zeus told her, 

Shai gave him a tired look and said, "Glad it didn't disappoint." 

"But you will need to fight someone else before going back to the time," Zeus said

Shai stares at him troubled knowing the only other one she met with Hermes and Athena wasn't there. it would be Zeus. Right? They couldn't have... a rumble under her feet made her almost lose her balance, the whole training ground rumbled, a portal opened behind Zeus who turned around with a stern look on his face, 

"It seems that you have gotten the message, Ares," 

The deity from before walked through the portal that glowed a dark red hue. he had his Helmet on his side while staring at the older deity. He had this stark look on his face while the portal closed behind him, 

"Yes I did, it could have come at a better time," He scoffed 

"We don't have much time Ares," Athena said 

Ares looked over to his left and saw that Athena was standing not too far from him, Hermes gave him a smile with a wave, 

"Hi Ares, how was your trip?" Hermes asked 

"Could have been longer. It was peaceful without you bugging me," Ares responded 

Hermes faked being offended while Athena sighed shaking her head, Zeus let out a laugh while Shai watched them before feeling Ares's eyes on her, he stared it with an irritated hue.

He stepped toward Shai stating, "You're the one that opened the book," 

Ares walked towards Shai while Zeus turned to Hermes who sent the letter to Ares during Athena's fight, 

"You didn't mention Shai did you?" 

Hermes shrugged, "You told me to write a note to him not to tell him that Shai was here," 

Hermes smiled while Zeus looked at him nonchalantly. Ares now stood in front of Shai glaring down at her while Shai was thinking franticly, 

"What should I do… he's glaring down at me, should I apologize?"

She contemplated it for only a moment before thinking, "No, I just wanted to have a moment of peace before that book fell onto the ground and had to close it," 

Shai gave him a glare of her own before she said to him, "Look I'm not sorry for what I had to do, but if you're going to glare at me like that it better for be for something more than than a book incident," 

Ares continued to glare at her, the three other deities watched them, both sort of stunned. it's not the first time someone has spoken to him in that manner, but Shai wasn't afraid of saying it. The other time they were shaking in fright. But her no she was standing in front of Are with a strong look in her eyes, was she worried at first yes but not now, Ares stood there for a moment more before letting out, "You not the first one to speak their mind to me."

There was a quiet between them before Ares spoke, 

"You'll be the first one to get away with it," 

Shai looks at him stunned but tries to keep it inward but fails, Zeus walks up to the both of them placing a hand on Ares's shoulder, 

"I see you two are talking before your fight," 

"What do you mean fight?" "I wouldn't mind fighting her but what is the cause," \

Shai and Ares stared at each other, Shai was not happy about this while Ares didn't seem to mind it, 

"Yes, Shai he will be your last opponent," Zeus told her, 

Ares looked at Zeus taking his hand off of him while letting out, "If I'm going to fight I might as well do it now," 

"Woo wait..." 

A cloud flew to Zeus, Athena, and Hermes who jumped on the cloud heading towards the ledge, Ares placed his helmet back on his head with an axe appearing in his hands. it glows a deep red. Shai felt her weapon appear in her hand while walking a bit back, looking at Ares, 

"Good luck," Shai said 

Ares smiled a little, "I believe you will need it," 

Zeus stepped on the ledge with Athena and Hermes following him, He turned back to the two fighters and raised his voice, "The battle begins!" 

Shai held up her weapon pointing it at Ares who held his axes, the weapon glowed blue once more but as she was ready to shoot at him, Shai thought he would move before she could but he didn't he stood there waiting for her first move. Shai shot her weapon at him, with it pointing away from Ares. 

"What?" Shai let out, 

Ares was bewildered by this but went after her anyway, Shai looked around for the bullet but was stopped by the weapon moving to her left side, Shai moved to the right missing Ares's axe that stopped mid-swing for him to try and hit her again, four lines of lighting came at him Ares blocked one with the axe but two of them hit both of his sides. he backed away from Shai, she pointed at him once more, and her weapon shined blue again. Shai was about to shoot her weapon, but it shook four times, 

"Alright show me what you can truly do," 

Shai shot the weapon and four bullets shot out, it scattered two went behind Ares while the other two went in front of him, Ares stared at Shai before lunging at her and Shai moved away from the axe, Shai sent a kick into his stomach and thought it would move him but only to have Ares smile at her. 

"Nice strength... but is it enough to take me down?" Ares asked 

Shai tried to move away from him, but he grabbed her leg, which didn't dishearten her with a grin Shai told him, "I was able to make it this far right?" 

Shai felt her weapon shake once more, warning her of what was to come. Shai tried to pull her leg from Ares who held her there in deep wonder. "Her weapon communicates with her. That is odd... I like it," 

"Let go," Shai whispered 

A bright blue lightning came from behind them, heading towards them. Shai glared at Ares who stared at her with fire lased within his eyes, 

"Let's see who will must triumph," Ares said 

The lighting sped up hitting Ares back and he let go of Shai, the lighting went past Shai avoiding her. Shai still felt the heat that came from the lighting, but it didn't hurt her. Shai fell on the ground with Ares holding his axe looming over Shai, She moved out from him and stared at him waiting to see what he would do, he started to cough out blood, 

"Did the lightning hit him that badly?" Shai thought 

Ares's head turned to her with the fire still in his eye and blood dripping down his chin, 

"It seems the more you are tested the stronger you get," Ares told her 

He stood up with his axe in his hands while blood dripped off his back onto the ground, Her weapon shook again with a red glow to it before it shifted to green, Ares saw this and threw his axe right as Shai shot the bullet at him, Shai felt the weapon disappear with the Axe almost at her face, she held up her hand wanting to catch the axe, she felt a tremendous weight in her hand that made her feet dig into the ground, 

Shai let out a shout, having pain shoot through her hands while the axe fell onto the ground. She looked at Ares with her arms dangling at her sides, feeling numb. Ares is in awe... a human was able to stop his Axe. That hasn't happened before. He lungs forward towards his axe but lights it from the side making him fly to the other side of the training ground. Shai smiled and felt her weapon appear in her hand, 

"That timing couldn't have been better," Shai said 

Ares got out of the rubble he was in and ran towards Shai, He pulled his hand back to punch Shai in the stomach but the ground rumbled under him, ground and vines came out of it holding him in place while a fire burned from under. the fire burned him with the vines still holding him in place until the fire with out. 

"Damn," Shai let out

Ares still stood on his feet stunned before he fell onto one of his knees breathing deeply. Shai felt her weapon go away and contemplated. "Should i.... I will," 

She walked over to Ares, stopped in front of him, and offered her words to him, "If anything I think the axe is cool," 

Ares stares at her bewildered before saying, "I knew it already,"
