Chapter 5: Chapter 4: Rescue The Hancock Sisters
Chapter 4: Rescue The Hancock Sisters
_____
"I…"
Hancock, who was only 12 years old, started to speak but suddenly froze. Her expression shifted drastically as she turned toward the cabin behind her. Quickly stretching out her hands to shield her two younger sisters, she shouted toward the cabin, "Who's there? Come out!"
Her mind raced, "Could an enemy have snuck into the cabin?"
In response, a calm voice emerged from within, accompanied by the sound of footsteps.
"Don't worry! We're not your enemies! We just accidentally ended up here."
The voice paused before continuing, "Can I ask where this is?"
Moments later, two figures, one tall and one smaller, stepped out of the cabin.
It was Katsumi and Kaori.
They hadn't expected their first teleportation attempt to land them on a ship.
As Katsumi emerged, he scanned his surroundings. From the distinctive design of the ship, especially the two giant snakes adorning it, he quickly deduced, "This must be the ship of Amazon Lily."
Turning his gaze to the three sisters in front of him, their appearances further confirmed his suspicion. Coupled with the unmistakable features of the Kuja ship, he concluded, "Are these the three Hancock sisters? If so, this must be before Hancock was taken as a slave."
This realization was good news for Katsumi.
"So beautiful!"
The three Hancock sisters couldn't help but gasp in admiration as they saw Kaori.
Her beauty was undeniable, but it was her mature and gentle demeanor that left a lasting impression on them.
Although Hancock found herself subconsciously admiring Kaori, she quickly suppressed her thoughts. Despite Kaori and Katsumi's non-threatening appearance, she remained wary.
"Who are you? And what is your purpose here?" Hancock asked cautiously.
"Don't worry," Kaori said softly, sensing their unease. She glanced around before addressing the sisters in a comforting tone. "My name is Uchiha Kaori, and this is my son, Uchiha Katsumi. We're here because of an illness. Our arrival on this ship was entirely accidental."
Pausing, she added, "It seems like you're under attack. If you need help, I can take care of the invaders. In return, you just need to tell us where we are and help us get to Drum Island. How does that sound?"
"Huh?"
Hancock was momentarily stunned. "You're here… to treat an illness? Drum Island? Can you really help us fight them off?"
At that moment, a grating laugh echoed across the ship, drawing everyone's attention.
"Hahaha!"
A towering pirate, over two meters tall and grotesque in appearance, strode toward them. His crude grin widened as he appraised the group.
"Well, look at what we have here," he sneered. "Not just three little beauties, but a mature stunner and even a pretty boy with delicate skin."
"It's a pity that you're sick, pretty boy. You don't have much time left. Otherwise, you'd make excellent merchandise!"
Katsumi: "....."
If he had the strength, he would have killed this pirate dog on the spot.
"Surrender to me now, and you'll suffer less. Resist, and… hehehe!"
Hearing the pirate's arrogant threat, Kaori completely ignored him. Instead, she turned to Hancock and said, "Wait here. Let me take care of this trash first."
The pirate's face darkened instantly. "What did you just say?!" he barked, raising his machete to strike Kaori and teach her a lesson.
Before he could move, Kaori turned her head to face him, her left eye glowing ominously. At some point, her Sharingan had transformed into the distinct pattern of the Mangekyō Sharingan.
"Genjutsu: Sharingan!"
In an instant, the pirate froze, standing motionless.
"Pfft!"
Without hesitation, Kaori flickered past him, her form a blur. A thin line of blood appeared on the pirate's neck. A moment later, his head rolled to the ground, his lifeless eyes wide open in disbelief.
Kaori moved toward the other pirates, leaving the first corpse behind as she launched her next attack.
"Fire Style: Phoenix Claw Crimson!"
"Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu!"
"Wind Style: Vacuum Blade!"
With a series of dazzling jutsus, Kaori unleashed relentless devastation on the remaining pirates, her attacks precise and ruthless.
The battlefield quickly became her stage, and the pirates from the Nine Snake Island could only watch in awe as she annihilated the opposition.
Her efficiency was terrifying. Bodies fell in rapid succession, and as their comrades and leaders were cut down with ease, the remaining pirates descended into chaos. Fear overtook them, and many began to flee for their lives.
In just a few short minutes, the battle was over.
Out of the hundreds of pirates, only a dozen managed to escape. The rest were wiped out by Kaori alone.
"Your mother is amazing!"
Hancock, her voice filled with admiration, turned to Katsumi. Her eyes sparkled with awe.
"Haha! Of course!"
Katsumi grinned proudly. Yes, that was his mother—Uchiha Kaori.
The leader of the Nine Snake Pirates, dragging her injured body, approached Uchiha Kaori. She stopped a few steps away, her expression a mix of gratitude and confusion.
"Thank you for saving us. May I ask who you are?"
"We're just passing through," Kaori replied with a gentle smile, waving her hand dismissively. She turned and walked back toward Katsumi and the others. "No need to think too much about it."
Then Kaori turned to Hancock and said, "Alright! I've kept my word. Now, could you please take us to Magnetic Drum Island? Is that acceptable?"
"Uh..."
Hancock blinked, a trace of embarrassment flashing across her face. She turned to the leader and asked hesitantly, "Leader?"
She felt a little helpless. She hadn't agreed to the request earlier, yet Kaori had already acted on their behalf. Still, she couldn't deny the immense debt of gratitude they owed. Without Kaori's intervention, their entire pirate crew might have been wiped out.
However, this decision wasn't hers to make—she wasn't the Pirate Empress yet.
The leader quickly caught on to Hancock's hesitation. Turning to Kaori, she said, "Magnetic Drum Island? Do you mean the one where the Sakura Kingdom is located? I've heard it's a place known for its exceptional medical expertise. Are you heading there for treatment?"
As she spoke, her gaze briefly rested on the pale and obviously unwell Katsumi.
"Yes," Kaori confirmed with a nod. "Can you help us?"
"Of course!" The leader nodded without hesitation. "Your life-saving actions will never be forgotten. We, the Nine Snake Pirates, always repay our debts. We'll take you to Drum Island as requested."
She paused, adding, "But this alone doesn't feel like enough to repay your kindness. Do you have any other requests? If it's within our power, we'll do our best to fulfill them."
The leader's expression turned serious as she continued, "However, many of our crew are injured. We've already contacted our former captain for assistance, so we'll need to stop at Sabaody Archipelago first for repairs and recovery. Once the ship is ready, we'll take you to Drum Island. How does that sound?"
She glanced at Kaori and added, "In the meantime, you can think about any other rewards you might need. We'll discuss them when we meet our former captain. She'll be better equipped to handle this than I am."
Kaori listened carefully and then turned to Katsumi. "Katsumi, what do you think?"
"That sounds fine!" Katsumi replied without hesitation. In fact, he thought this plan was even better. He'd been curious about meeting Shakky and Rayleigh anyway.
Kaori smiled, satisfied. "Alright then, let's do it your way!"
The leader let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you!"
Without delay, she instructed Hancock to prepare rooms for Kaori and Katsumi to rest. Meanwhile, she began organizing the crew to clean up the battlefield, treat the injured, and repair the ship's damage.
