Avatar: Tower Master

It had been entertaining watching Zuko climb up the floors the past few days, each time he hit a roadblock dealing with a monster Iroh would advise him on how to handle it. Honestly that man's patience for Zuko's attitude was unending, there were a few times where I would have slapped him.

"Why don't you take a break prince Zuko, that lovely couple on the fifth floor invited us to dinner" Iroh recommended. 

"You can go, I am still training," Zuko yelled harshley. 

Most likely having enough of Zuko for now Iroh left him to it trusting in his nephew's abilities to keep him safe. Finally with Iroh gone I could enact my little plan. Holding in my hand was an intricate stone oni mask, with gold accents and two gold horns coming from the top. 

[Item: Cursed Oni mask] 

[This mask is imbued with strong demonic power and as everyone knows absolute power corrupts absolutely] 

[Effect: Doubles physical stats though in exchange the wearers negative emotions grow. The greater your stats the more your anger grows] 

Using shapeshifter I changed my body to have a similar oni mask but the accents and horns were red. The rest of my body started growing sleek stone armor covering every part of my body and what skin lay below turned black. Using my abilities I watched as Zuko started to panic as shadows creeped all round him, closing him in. 

Stepping out of the shadows Zuko spun towards visually scared at my appearance. 

"Are you a demon?" Zuko asked. 

"I am an interested party prince Zuko" I said stepping closer "Do you seek power" 

Zuko flinched at my deep demonic voice and pointed his swords at me ready to strike. 

"To gain your honor back am I right?" I said with some amusement. It's amazing how little you have to act when looking like a demon. 

"How do you know that?" 

"I have been watching you since you entered the tower" 

"I do not need your help," Zuko spat. 

"Really, you are nowhere close to the highest level person in this tower. Though your sword skills are good your bending will not save you from anyone stronger than you" 

"What are you talking about" 

"Benders can't have a class and all of your abilities use your own element, what are you going to do against someone who can shoot lightning like you do fire? Or against someone like your father" 

Seeing him becoming frustrated I stepped further forward. Scared Zuko used quick step, a burst of fire came from his feet as he launched at me. As he got closer I stayed where I was, simply raising my hands. As his sword swung at my neck I simply caught it in one hand, holding it there. 

"What a pathetic attack" I started "As I said, I can offer you power greater than anything else" 

Letting go of his sword Zuko asked "What do you mean" 

Throwing his sword back to him I pulled out the oni mask "Here" I said also throwing it to him. 

"What is this?" 

"It is the power you seek, put it on and your strength will double" 

"What's the catch?" Zuko accused. 

"No. catch just don't tell anybody about it" I said "Go on put it on" 

Looking at me hesitantly Zuko brought the mask up to his face and put it in place. As soon as it was on his sclera turned black but his iris stayed the same amber. I watched as it took effect and Zuko began inspecting his own body feeling the power it offered. 

Summoning a stronger monster then what was on the floor I said "Attack" 

The giant armored ratlike monster burst at Zuko ready to take his face off. With the mask still on Zuko reacted quickly jumping out of the way then rushing at it. With another quick step Zuko was near the rat plunging his sword into its body killing it instantly. 

Walking up to him I said "Feels good doesn't it" 

"I feel..strong," Zuko said in a distorted voice. 

"Yes that is the power of the mask" 

"I also feel angry," Zuko questioned. 

"A simple side effect of the sudden increase in power" I lied. 

"Now let's get to work," I said. 

The next few hours I followed Zuko as he blasted through the next few floors killing everything he saw. It was quite brutal how his increased anger made him even more lethal than before.

"You have acclimated well to the mask" I commented. 

"It makes me feel powerful" 

"Despite its use I would recommend not using it to much, power like that can have a drug like effect" 

Taking off the mask Zuko stumbles at the sudden decrease in power. 

"I feel sick" He said dry heaving. 

"You were wearing it for too long" I commented "Next time pace yourself or you will never take it off" 

"Here" I said, placing an identical gauntlet to Zukos on the ground. 

"Now what?" he asked. 

"It's a storage item, I would not show that mask to anyone. Store it inside the gauntlet when not using it" 

Zuko stood up putting on the gauntlet and storing the oni mask inside. 

"Now what?" he asked. 

Using another ability I sprayed some gas into his face causing him to fall asleep. Then I picked him up and teleported to the fifth floor where Iroh was with He Tun and his family. I placed zuko on the deck of the cabin then left the tower transforming back into my own form. 

[Warning! Large vessel has entered your area carrying many people] 

'Huh?' I thought. Opening my map I looked around the edges of the map but still couldn't find it. Then I remembered that it said vessel. Looking over to the large river I followed it to the edge of my territory finding four large dot's moving forward. 

Transporting myself to a nearby ridge I looked down at the river. There were four large warships making their way towards the tower. One was obviously belonging to someone important as the bow was plated in gold with the image of a bird on it. All the ships had fire nation flags raised as well as regalia hanging off the sides. 

"The Fire Lord is finally here" I said to myself. "Better late than never"
