Chapter 47: Saving the beauty?:
(In the afternoon)
As the company employees got off work, Xu Hao also took a car ride home.
As soon as he stepped out of the building, he noticed Xia Qingge walking away in the distance. He intended to instruct Li Kun to drive over and offer her a ride.
“Hmm?”
Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a suspicious figure sneaking around. It was none other than Liu Fei, a persistent rich kid who had been pestering Xia Qingge.
Xu Hao then noticed another figure.
That was… Chen Mo.
Liu Fei was following Xia Qingge stealthily, while Chen Mo was keeping an eye on Liu Fei from a distance. What was going on?

Xu Hao instructed Li Kun, “Follow them slowly.”
He decided against immediately picking up Xia Qingge. He wanted to see what the villain and the protagonist were planning to do.
Xia Qingge’s home was not far from the company; it took only about ten minutes to walk there, with a stop at the market for groceries.
After leaving the Xu Group for a while, Xia Qingge took a shortcut through an alley, where trouble found her.
A few thuggish young men blocked her path.
“Hey there… I recently had my fortune told. It said I’d have a romantic encounter soon,” said one of the thugs, excitedly eyeing Xia Qingge.
“Where did you get that fortune? It’s too accurate. I should find out when I’ll get rich,” another thug chimed in.
“Look at her face and figure. She’s the finest girl I’ve ever seen,” another added.
The thug leader named Brother Fa boasted, “Don’t worry, brothers. Am I a stingy person? Just line up and take your turn.”
“Brother Fa, you’re the best,” the others cheered.
They stared at Xia Qingge, and their eyes filled with lust.
“Hey beauty, you heard my brothers. Come with us…” Brother Fa stepped towards her with an evil smile.
Xia Qingge had never encountered such a situation before. She stepped back, her face pale with fear, and decided to run out to the main street to call for help. But as she turned, she tripped over a stone.
Brother Fa closed in, his smile growing more lecherous.
“Don’t be afraid, girl. We’ll be gentle.”
Just as Xia Qingge felt all hope was lost, a dark figure rushed in and punched the thug leader, sending him flying.
Five seconds earlier—
Liu Fei had been tailing Xia Qingge. Despite Xu Hao’s previous warning, he couldn’t get her out of his mind and had been plotting how to win her over.
A subordinate suggested staging a heroic rescue, saying, “Girls nowadays love that.”
Liu Fei’s eyes lit up. He hired some thugs to stage a fake attack so he could come to her rescue.
When he saw Xia Qingge fall, fear and desperation on her face, Liu Fei felt thrilled.
Excited and with trembling hands, he prepared to make his grand entrance.
Imagining Xia Qingge admiring and falling into his arms, Liu Fei was overcome with excitement. But before he could step forward and shout “Stop,” a powerful force hit him from behind, sending him crashing to the ground.
Chen Mo had kicked Liu Fei down and then charged at the remaining thugs.
Today, Chen Mo had come to Xu Group to gather information.
Xu Hao had dared to pursue his favorite teacher and his goddess, making him an enemy.

A familiar, soothing voice called out. Xia Qingge looked up to see Xu Hao in front of her.
Xu Hao crouched down and helped her up.
“Wow… Uncle Xu…”
Feeling safe in his presence, Xia Qingge threw herself into Xu Hao’s arms and started crying.
“It’s okay now. I’m here.”
Xu Hao patted her back to comfort her.
He quickly understood the situation.
Liu Fei, the minor antagonist, had hired thugs to stage a rescue, hoping to play the hero. But the protagonist, Chen Mo, intercepted, ruining Liu Fei’s plan.
Meanwhile, Xu Hao, knowing he wasn’t strong enough to fight Chen Mo directly, seized the chance to comfort Xia Qingge and build rapport.

The thugs were too weak and quickly subdued by Chen Mo. He turned around stylishly, hoping to make a good impression on Xia Qingge. But when he saw her in Xu Hao’s arms, he was stunned.

“On my way home, I happened to pass by and saw Qingge in trouble, so I came to help. Is there a problem?” Xu Hao smiled calmly, then turned the question around. “I want to know, why are you here?”
Chen Mo didn’t hide anything. He revealed Liu Fei’s plan to stage a rescue to win Xia Qingge’s favor. He even dragged the moaning Liu Fei over.
“Admit it… This was your idea, wasn’t it?”
Liu Fei lowered his head, too scared to speak. He wasn’t afraid of Chen Mo or feeling awkward in front of Xia Qingge; he was terrified of Xu Hao.
Last time, Xu Hao had warned him, and now he had plotted against Xia Qingge again. The consequences if Xu Hao got angry were unimaginable. He could only pray silently.
Xu Hao had no intention of dealing with him now. The Liu family’s fate was already sealed. He’d let Liu Fei and the protagonist fight each other, and then he’d step in to finish the job.
“So, it was Liu Fei’s trick…” Xia Qingge was disgusted. The thugs had truly scared her, even if Liu Fei’s intervention meant she wouldn’t get hurt. The act itself was repulsive.
“Wait… You said Liu Fei was following Qingge. This alley isn’t close to the company. How did you know Liu Fei was following her? Chen Mo began to explain, but Xia Qingge interrupted him.
“Enough. I thank you for helping me…” She then turned to Xu Hao. “Uncle Xu, let’s go. I don’t want to see them.”
“Okay, I’ll take you home.”
As Xia Qingge and Xu Hao walked away, Chen Mo was left standing, stunned.
“Aaahhh…”
Seeing Liu Fei and the thugs trying to leave, Chen Mo attacked them again in his rage and beat them up.
