Chapter 59: Astral's Rise Part 15: Round 9
The two of them would circle Astral, just to see if he would track their movements. But he was focused on their anatomy and history. "So, I have a question for you two, who are you?" He spoke as they both lunged in from two sides. Seemingly summoning water and fire from their swords.
Astral dropped a step backwards using his hands to flow the blades away from him. This will be interesting. The two stood next to each other and came at him in a flash. Hearing the sound of thunder he saw them try to slash at his arms. Avoiding that by jumping over their attack. He would look down on them while his wings made him float in the air. "Such synchronized attacks. You must be siblings." their heads twitched in confusion.
How could he know? He was nothing but a human? They were told by Titan that he would be a cakewalk for them. Even they are amplified by him currently with a spell to make them faster and stronger.
Landing back on the ground he would look at them and smile. "Bring it." He would mutter. Watching how they breathed. The two of them would launch at him bringing harsh winds. Making him close his eyes and not see the sudden strikes. Being blocked by his wings would allow him to slide behind them and throw three punches at each.
They would block them before retaliating at immense speeds once again. The cackling of thunder heard once again. This time Astral saw clearly what was happening. They used their breathing to amplify their swordsmanship. "Oh that is fancy." He said while appearing behind the female.
"My turn." using their technique he threw a punch straight through her, then kicking her back. Her brother then stabbed straight through Astrals right lung. Feeling this pain he would back up only to see the woman healing her wound back up. With another flash the girl would stab Astral in the left lung.
Narrowly missing his heart. Grabbing the both of them by their necks he would throw them away from him. And slowly the sword wounds began to hurt less.
"You are a true warrior. But leave Imoto alone." Her brother would stand in front of her. Trying to protect her even if it was for another moment.
"You will have to kill both of us in order to defeat us. Kyodai and I are special, "she spoke. She was fully regenerated as Titan watched on, frustrated that even they couldn't pass up Astral with his help.
"Then give it your all." Astral pulled the blades out from his chest. The wounds healing up quickly. Tossing them their swords to their feet. They would slowly walk over and pick up their blades.
He would smile as he pulled out his sword. With the click of it being unsheathed they grabbed their blades and came after him with everything they got. Astral would spit out a mouthful of blood from his lungs. He was ready to end them. They came out with a fiery technique that was hotter than the first one.
It seemed much faster as they reacted quicker and moved as smooth as silk. Astral saw each of their moves coming slightly before they made them. Being able to match them by blocking every slice that they countered with. Their swordplay was immense. Each swing came at them with more power than the last before Astral found a window. He kicked Kyodai away from him.
He looked to start working on Imoto. He saw into Kyodai and he doesn't have the regeneration that she does. With one clean slice he separated her left arm from her. Making her reel backwards as it grew back out. "I see." Kyodai was rushing back into the fight.
He hostlered his sword once again and grabbed Kyodai, throwing him into his sister. "I still wanna play, and I know you have one or two tricks left." Tilting his head to the side they rushed him with printing appearing all over them. He would watch their blades start to glow. He would block one away and it felt hot. He would keep moving the blades away while hitting them with counter blows.
Their attacks would be constant. Astral saw this as a way to train and keep up his abilities while working on more, he would focus on his breathing and channel it, he felt like he could foresee everything that he could do, and everything they would try to do.
Kyodai and Imoto realized they weren't gonna win and were tricked by Titan for them to be blindly brainwashed and tricked. Astral wasn't the bad guy outside of just being their opponent.
Astral would see the flurry of attacks only sharpen with speed. Tracking these he would work on the learning of it all. He would be wary of them. Their aggression was increasing, as the girl was growing in size surpassing that of Astral.
Astral would have an open look and swing his leg down on the girl and slam her into the ground, liquidizing her head into nothing. Astral then backed up as it regenerated. He was confused for a moment before looking back at what they said earlier.
Kyodai would look over at Titan, who just looked disgusted in their performance. They couldn't slow him down one bit. Titan would look away as Astral gave them space. Kyodai would help his sister up as she regenerated her head.
Titan had abandoned them, infuriating them more. His power no longer shared, they felt a wave of power stripped from them. Astral felt this as their next wave of attacks were slower and striked with less force.
With each step they made he studied their swordsmanship. It was one of one, he saw how it could close any physical gap. Astral would record this with drones, He wanted to study it and replicate it for himself.
Shame Astral's talented too. With a click he was able to slice the two of them apart. He held his sword in his hand. Bowing down to them in respect. A proper match and they were able to teach him moves that he would have thought impossible.
"Thanks for teaching me more." The heads had tears in their eyes as they slowly faded to ash. "I will never forget you two." He grabbed their swords. Going into the pocket dimension and making a mural for the two of them. It clicked for him as there was a flash of light.
He stood in the blank canvas, they now gave him two huge upgrades, regeneration not reliant on the twin's abilities and a way to make one's self stronger by channeling their breathing. He held Imoto's sword and swung it. Being able to replicate the elements used.
He summoned some dark oak wood and made a stand, with the pictures of the two and their swords on stands. Astral looked at it, he would love to be their friend, maybe in the far future. With a flash of light he was back and the timer started.
