Astral's Adventures

Chapter 244: Subsequent Fall Part 69: Silence

Astral sent Nightmares' body flying as he was focused on ending the twin jewels. God Emperor, Diddler and Candyland still stood in his way as a vine struck out at him from behind as the white arm batted it away, lighting it on fire as the vine tried to put it out.

All it did was spread across its body as Diddler and God Emperor charged past the burning vine as Astral held up his scythe. The two slashed at him as Astral parried each blow perfectly. The vine slammed to the ground as it kept burning. The charred remains of the plant filled the air. The fire kept going down the plant as Astral felt a shadow attack from his right side as a gash sliced around his right eye on his dominant side.

His eye was fine as he let the wound stay to remind himself of humanity as the purple arm stuck out and strangled the shadow to death. Turning to smoke as Astral wanted to end Candyland. He hopped forward past Diddler and God Emperor as he grabbed the skull of a clone. "ALL OF YOU WILL DIE!" His magic flowed through the skulls of all the Candylands as they exploded.

Astral looked at the two jewels as they looked at him, being showered in blood. "What's your move to save yourselves, will you flee or fight!" Astral looked at them as he marched forward, the blood at his feet pooled up as the twin jewels looked at each other.

"Diddler, we have one option and it's all on you!" Ruby extended her hand as a necklace rested in it. Diddler took it as Diamond did the same. As Diddler put them on the two vanished into the necklace. Diddlert felt different as Astral flicked up his white arm from his shoulder as a beam of light struck out at Diddler. It went around him and refracted as Astral shrugged.

"That's your best bet? Is protecting Diddler, too bad you don't have Titan." Astral's arms retracted as the shadows started to swarm around him. He held up Murasama as the shadows crashed all around him. Blocking his view as Diddler focused on one thing. The scythe he held in his hand was still the jesters, but it was his connection to him. Not the jesters itself.

Diddler held his left arm up as a second scythe appeared, Diddler collapsed his finger around it as Astral sliced through the shadows around him. The fallen were getting desperate as void tendrils came from the ground and started attacking Astral as he batted them away with his sword.

Diddler charged at him as he sent a slash with his left scythe, feeling amplified by so many forces it flowed smoothly like the wind as it cut open Astrals stomach. Being able to use the other abilities from the jester. He sliced with the scythe in his right hand at Astral as he blocked it. One of the fallen came at Astral's left as he batted it away with the white arm extending once more.

The scratch from his stomach healed as Astral looked at the pendants on Diddler's neck. "You best hope that it makes you invincible." Astral held the Murasama as it split his face in two, his right eye encrusted with gold as the cracks were all over it, purely cyan. Blood running around it. The left eye is full of colors fighting for vision.

Diddler swiped both of his scythes at Astral as he blocked it with perfect parries and slashed at Diddler as the medallion on his neck blocked it. A small wisp of blue smoke came from it as Astral kept the aggression up. All the streets surrounding the two became covered in void, watching their new master and leader.

All the darkness wanted was the most powerful one of all of them, they wanted power above all else. They saw Astral as the catalyst to all their dark wishes. Overlord knew adding him to the hivemind of their collection would be a collective gain, even if it meant his own self sacrifice.

Tendrils came over Diddler as it blocked a slash from Murasama. Astral was fed up with all this action and the lack of it. He wanted all the fighting to just be over. One more slash that he took opened Diddler's neck as he fell to the ground and clasped his hands around the wound, dropping both scythes as the void swarmed him, wanting to consume him as the new face of the fallen.

Astral put up a light orb around him as Diddler bled on the ground, Astral saw his shield starting to crack as the shade wanted to leak in. "These necklaces are them. And their power." Astral flicked his wrist as Murasama shattered both charms and ended Diddler's suffering.

The shield dropped as the void dispersed for a mere second as Astral saw Titan towering over Jaimie, she reached out her arm to him. He was in time to save her, but where was Adam, where the twins alright? 'Just move!' A voice shouted from inside of him as he reached onto his left side as Titan squeezed down on her arm. The scream filled his mind as Astral opened fire with his magnum. The lightspeed rounds turned Titan's chest into a window.

Titan lowered his torso as his lips moved, Astral couldn't make it out. Titan's foot slammed down on Jaimie's head. The blood and bone squirted across the street as Astral watched in awe. The screams, they were silenced in one moment. Paralyzed by the actions in front of him he was at all losses. 'no.' his mind spoke softly to himself.

Her golden smile, her beautiful hair, her warmth, all crushed in a mere moment. Titan looked at the body as he approached the husk of Astral who stopped moving. All he thought was darkness. She was the one who could save him, she was the one he would turn to, and with her gone, who does he have among the lifetimes he has lived. The void all around the street started directing their attacks at Titan to bide him but a moment of thought.
