As a Symbiote in Marvel multiverse

Chapter 30: The Final Showdown

The group reconvened in the safe house where they had initially planned their strategy. Peter teleported back, carrying the unconscious Ororo and Psylocke, with Alex and Scott behind him.

Alex immediately went to check on Charles. "Are you okay, Professor?" he asked with concern while kneeling beside him.

Charles nodded with a weak smile, "I'm fine, thanks to all of you."

Moments later, Pietro sped into the room, bringing Raven with him. Without wasting time, he dashed out again and returned with Erik in a blur of motion. A heavy silence fell as Charles met Erik's eyes.

Charles's gaze softened when he saw Erik. "I'm sorry for your loss," he said gently, referring to the family Erik had lost. "And thank you for choosing to fight alongside us."

Erik gave a small nod but didn't respond verbally. Instead, he stood closer to Pietro, who looked somewhat awkward but couldn't hide the hint of satisfaction at his father's subtle acknowledgment.

The ground beneath them suddenly trembled as a minor earthquake rippled through the area, putting everyone on edge.

Outside, Apocalypse, now enraged and covered in debris, had teleported free from the collapsed structure.

Using his matter manipulation powers, he turned everything in his path to dust. His frustration and rage echoed through his booming voice: "Charles! I know you're still here. We're still connected. Come and face me like a man! And you mongrels—prepare to meet your end once I find you!"

Peter who is observing the approaching destruction from a nearby window, turned to the group. "Alright, here's the plan," he said in a sharp commanding tone.

He began assigning roles, "Erik, you're our heavy hitter. Go outside and throw every metal at him—make it count."

"Ms. Maria and Raven, stay here and protect the Professor."

"Scott, Alex—fire everything you've got. Heat him up until he's begging for mercy from both side and keep changing your positions. Don't let him get you."

"Pietro, use your speed to confuse him, but keep changing your pattern. Don't let him predict your moves."

"Jean and I will attack from a distance to weaken him further."

"Kurt, Hank—you're a team. Kurt, teleport Hank near him. Hank, hit him hard, then teleport out immediately. Repeat the pattern, and Pietro can assist if needed."

Peter's voice was clear and confident. "Am I clear?"

The group stared at him in silence, momentarily stunned by the cohesive strategy.

Raven broke the silence. "That's... actually a good plan."

Charles weakly smiled at Peter, "It perfectly leavrages all our abilities."

Hank raised an eyebrow. "When did you come up with this?"

Peter grinned. "Just now. Now move, people! It's time to beat the living crap out of the ancient asshole!"

Jean who is standing beside him shook her head and said telepathically, "Language, Peter."

Peter only smirked and the group quickly moved out one by one to confront Apocalypse.

.

.

.

Outside, Apocalypse unleashed his powers, reducing everything in his path to dust. Suddenly, all the metal in the vicinity began to rise into the air and hurtled toward him. Apocalypse activated his force field, disintegrating the oncoming projectiles with ease.

He looked up and saw Erik, floating in the air with his hands outstretched, controlling the metallic assault. Apocalypse's expression darkened.

"You dare betray me?" he bellowed.

Erik responded in a calm, cold tone while pausing the assault, "No. I betrayed them."

Before Apocalypse could respond, Kurt teleported directly in front of him with Hank. Hank who already transformed into Beast, landed a powerful punch squarely on Apocalypse's face. Before the ancient mutant could retaliate, Kurt teleported them both away.

Apocalypse barely had time to recover before Pietro appeared, moving at super speed. Pietro landed a flurry of punches, striking Apocalypse like a human sandbag. The rapid hits left him momentarily disoriented.

Taking advantage of the opening, Alex and Scott unleashed twin plasma beams from either side, melting away Apocalypse's golden armor. The ancient mutant roared in pain, the heat searing his flesh.

In agony, Apocalypse activated his force field again, creating some space around him. But Erik, seeing the opportunity, resumed his relentless metallic barrage, forcing Apocalypse to divide his attention.

But his wounds began to regenerate rapidly as his force field held firm against the onslaught. Jean and Peter floated in the air, attacking relentlessly. Jean telekinetically hurled every available object at Apocalypse, while Peter manifested an additional pair of arms, now wielding four in total.

Two arms unleashed crackling blasts of electricity, while the other two fired plasma beams in rapid succession.

The combined attacks forced Apocalypse's force field to shrink under pressure, but he retaliated by expanding it again. He used his matter manipulation powers to attack Scott and Alex, who were still on the ground and within his reach.

Although the Summers brothers dodged many of the attacks, the assistance of Pietro and Kurt ensured most of the projectiles missed their mark entirely. However, Apocalypse began to study the pattern in Pietro's movements. Waiting for the perfect moment, he manipulated the ground beneath Pietro, trapping his feet in the earth.

Seizing the opportunity, Apocalypse moved closer to the speedster. Erik, seeing his son in danger intensified his metallic assault. He then used shards of metal to free Pietro's feet, allowing him to escape just in time.

The team's strategy was proving effective. Their seamless coordination was forcing Apocalypse to split his attention between multiple fronts. From a safe distance, Maria and Raven observed the battle, their hope growing with every passing moment.

"If they keep this up, they might actually win," Maria said with optimism.

Raven observing the battle then said,"But they need to finish this quickly. Hank, Alex and Erick may be okay, but others are not trained to fight. They may wear out sonner or later."

Charles also knew that the tide could turn at any moment. Then an idea stuck him and soon he made the decision. "We're still connected," he said. "I can get inside his head."

He laid back on the bed they had arranged for him and closed his eyes. "Thank you for letting me in," he murmured. He pulled Apocalypse into his mind.

---

Inside Apocalypse's mind, Charles confronted the ancient mutant.

Using his telepathic abilities, Charles managed to overpower Apocalypse briefly, delivering a series of mental blows that shook the ancient mutant. This gives Charles an upper hand and landing blows in the mental plane.

However, Apocalypse's sheer willpower and psychic strength soon overwhelmed Charles. The tide turned in the psychic battle, with Apocalypse regaining control and viciously retaliating. Charles, now outmatched, was subjected to a brutal mental beatdown.

---

On the battlefield, the team's attacks began to falter. Alex, Scott, and Kurt were visibly wearing down, their earlier relentless efforts taking a toll. Apocalypse sensing their fatigue observed an opening. Using his matter manipulation powers, he caused the ground to collapse beneath them, burying the trio under a massive wall.

Hank immediately moved to rescue them, but he was caught in the crossfire. Apocalypse, now advancing towards Hank, manipulated a nearby structure to send debris flying in his direction. Jean attempted to shield Hank but inadvertently struck him with a large fragment of a wall in the chaos.

The team's formation was shattered. Apocalypse capitalized on the disarray, taking the upper hand in the battle. His force field expanded once more, pushing back the remaining attackers.

Apocalypse turned and waved his hand dismissively. The wall behind him dissolved, revealing an the sight of Charles Xavier confined to a bed, with Maira and Raven at his side.

A sinister smile spread across his face as he began walking toward them, ignoring the continued attacks from the team. Projectiles and energy blasts ricocheted harmlessly off his force field.

Charles, still lying on the bed and visibly weak, called out telepathically to Jean: "Help me, Jean. Please! Unleash your full power. It's the only way to stop him."

Peter, floating beside Jean, caught on immediately. He sent his own telepathic message to Jean: "Trust me, Jean. I'll help you. But you have to go all out—break his mind."

As Jean prepared her assault, Peter's body subtly merged with hers.

The battle shifted to the mind plane, where Jean found Apocalypse holding a bloodied Charles. She unleashed her full telepathic might, the impact shattering the mindscape like glass. The psychic assault severed Apocalypse's mental grip on Charles, leaving the ancient mutant's thoughts in disarray.

In the physical world, Erik, seeing the shift in momentum, landed near Pietro, who had collapsed from exhaustion. The two exchanged a glance, Erik silently acknowledging his son's efforts. The rest of the team regrouped and began watching as Apocalypse's armor began to crumble.

Jean channeled her powers into a devastating wave that reduced Apocalypse's armor and garments to ash, leaving him standing disoriented and vulnerable.

Peter seized his chance. What no one had noticed was the tiny fragment of his symbiote form he'd hidden earlier, lying dormant and camouflaged nearby. Now, he materialized before the weakened Apocalypse with a predatory grin. "Surprise, motherfucker."

His body transformed and the symbiote began spreading like living darkness as he began to devour Apocalypse. The ancient mutant with his defenses already crippled by Jean's psychic assault, could offer little resistance. Within Apocalypse's fractured mindspace, all he could perceive were massive white eyes and a maw filled with razor-sharp teeth and a writhing tongue.

"What are you?" Apocalypse managed to ask, fear evident in his voice.

Peter's voice echoed ominously: "Your end."

The symbiote's mouth opened wide, engulfing Apocalypse completely and oblivion followed.

"It's done," Peter's voice echoed in Jean's mind. "You can stand down now."

Jean's power gradually subsided as she descended to the ground with her task complete.

As Peter absorbed the last of Apocalypse, a flood of memories washed over him. "Damn," he mused while processing the vast expanse of experiences. "He's over 9000 years old."

As Peter stood amidst the aftermath of the battle, a voice resonated in his mind—the familiar, analytical tone of the Great Sage.

> New skills acquired... Matter Manipulation, Teleportation, Power Enhancement, Force Field Generation, Regenerative Healing Factor, Peak Human Physiology, Portal Generation, Essence Transference.

The information flowed smoothly, listing the fruits of Peter's victory.

> Some skills can be combined... Combining skills Ultraspeed Regeneration and Rapid Healing Factor... Successful.

> New skill acquired: Superior Healing Factor.

> Combining skills: Peak Human Physiology, Acute Senses, and Peak Human Physique... Successful.

> New skill acquired: Transcend Human Physique.

> Combining skills: Teleportation, Portal Generation and Multiversal portal creation... Successful.

> New skill acquired: Multiversal Teleportation.

Peter paused while processing the latest upgrade.

...

>Matter Manipulation: The ability to manipulate and alter matter at a molecular and atomic level. This includes reshaping objects, transmuting materials, and even disintegrating objects. The extent of control depends on focus and power.

>Transcend Human Physique: A physique that surpasses the limits of human capability. This includes:

Strength: Capable of lifting up to 100 tons.

Durability: Can endure extreme physical impacts and conditions without sustaining significant damage.

Enhanced Reflexes and Senses: Lightning-fast reactions and acute sensory perception beyond any human capability.

>Force Field Generation: Create a protective barrier to block physical and energy-based attacks. The size, strength, and duration of the force field depend on the user's energy and concentration.

>Superior Healing Factor: This skill allows the user to recover from severe injuries, regenerate lost limbs, and resist diseases or toxins. Even if the entire body is destroyed, a single cell is enough to make the body regenerate agian.

...

Feeling his enhanced strength, Peter reformed his human body. Erik who is standing nearby, couldn't hide his shock.

Hank, noticing Erik's expression, chuckled and patted his shoulder. "Don't worry, you'll get used to it. He's... full of surprises."

Jean walked over to him and Peter gave her a small smile, happy with his gains, but his thoughts were interrupted by another notification.

> Notice: Essential conditions are met. Initiating evolution trigger of skill... Successful.

> Using the souls of the devoured to increase soul power... Successful.

Peter's eyes widened as realization dawned on him. "Wait... I know I can evolve intrinsic skills but I didn't think it would happen this soon!"

But his excitement was short-lived as the voice continued.

> Initiating the evolution of intrinsic skill Great Sage... Failed.

Retrying... Failed.

Retrying... Failed.

Retrying... Failed.

Retrying... Failed.

Retrying... Failed.

Retrying... Failed.

Each failure made Peter's heart race. He clenched his fists, trying to remain calm.

> Sacrificing skills: Scale Armor, Ferocity Boost, Angelic Wings, Transformation, Retractable Bone Claws, Animal Empathy...

"What the hell?!" Peter shouted internally, "Huu.... Huu.... Calm down... Calm down, Peter."

Jean noticed his tense demeanor, "Are you okay?" she asked.

Peter nodded quickly and forced a smile. "Yeah, just... processing something."

> Successful... Evolving Skill....

.

.

.

The team soon regrouped and made their way to the jet, ready to return home. Peter kept quiet and was focusing on the notifications still flooding his mind.

> Evolution Successful.

Skill: Great Sage has evolved into Ultimate Skill: Raphael.

Peter froze after seeing the information. His lips curled into a wide grin and he couldn't hold it back any longer.

"Yes! YES!" he shouted which startled everyone on the jet.
