Arms trough the galaxy

After Shadowfang left the hangar bay, the members of Viper Squad, a fourteen members team and part of the Veiled Vanguard and second best squad in the whole unit. The ship hung silent in the void, a darkened titan of Trade Federation design, its systems battered but still humming with latent power. Though disabled and adrift, the Lucrehulk remained operational enough to pose a threat, its droid armies potentially lurking in the many rooms of the ship. The squad's objective was clear, infiltrate, disable the control room, and neutralize the threat.

The squad moved swiftly across the cavernous hangar, the massive expanse strewn with inactive or destroyed vulture droids, OOM-droids and cargo crates. Rusted conveyor belts sat dormant, and docking clamps hung lifeless like the claws of some metal beast. Lieutenant Drax or Viper-14, the squad leader, raised a fist to halt the team, his sharp gaze scanning for signs of movement.

"Okay boys, first make sure that there's nothing in our surroundings, Viper-16 run a scanner to make sure"

"Movement, three o'clock" whispered Viper-16, his M1-Garand trained on a stack of crates.

The squad froze, their arms raised. Out shuffled a pair of damaged OOM battle droids, their movements jerky and uncoordinated but their intentions clear. The lieutenant signaled Specialist Vega, their demolition expert, who lobbed a Mills Bomb grenade with precision. The explosion echoed through the hangar, leaving the droids in smoldering pieces.

"Clear. Move out" Drax commanded, leading them toward the corridor that would take them deeper into the ship.

The squad entered a dimly lit maintenance passage, its walls lined with pipes and flickering control panels. The air was thick with the smell of oil and ozone. Corporal Keller, the communications officer, toggled his headset.

"I'm picking up weak comm chatter could be their or ours. But the control room's still active" he reported, his voice low.

Suddenly, the metallic clang of approaching footsteps echoed down the corridor. "Droids incoming!" shouted Private Zhang.

The squad took cover behind protruding panels and junction boxes as a couple of squad of OOM battle droids rounded the corner, their E-5 blasters lighting up the corridor with red bolts.

"Suppressive fire!" Drax barked. Corporal Henson and Private Ortega fired their rifles in controlled bursts, keeping the droids pinned while Vega prepare an anti tank stielhandgranate.

"Fire in the hole!" Vega yelled, throwing the antitank grenade. The explosion tore through the droids, leaving the corridor clear but unstable, with sparks flying and conduits sparking.

"Keep moving!" Drax urged, as the team stepped over the wreckage.

The team emerged into a cavernous chamber where rows of deactivated battle droids stood in silent ranks, their eyes dark and lifeless. Overhead, conveyor belts held half-assembled droids, and robotic arms hung still.

"This place gives me the creeps," muttered Private Lane, gripping his FN FAL tightly.

As the squad advanced, a red light suddenly blinked on a nearby terminal. The dormant droids came to life, their photoreceptors glowing as they turned their heads in unison.

"Contact!" shouted Corporal Keller as the droids opened fire.

The squad scrambled for cover among the machinery, returning fire in a chaotic exchange. Specialist Vega activated a flamethrower, sweeping it across the ranks of droids and igniting them in a spectacular inferno. The team pushed through the assembly room as the remaining droids fell, their charred remains scattered across the floor.

The next phase of their journey took them through the engineering deck, where the ship's glowing power core pulsed with energy. The hum of the machinery was deafening, and coolant vapors hissed from ruptured pipes.

"Set charges here," Drax ordered Vega, pointing to the conduits feeding the core. "If we don't make it to the control room, this'll be our fail-safe."

Vega and Private Harris quickly set timed charges, while the rest of the squad covered them, scanning the shadows for signs of movement. The control of the charges will activate with the button in her arm guard.

"Let's go," Drax commanded. The squad hurried out, the pressure mounting as the clock ticked down.

The squad finally reached the ship's nerve center, its entrance guarded by a thick blast door. "How do we get through that?" Lane asked, eyeing the barrier nervously.

"I've got this," said Specialist Vega, slapping a shaped charge against the door. The explosion rocked the deck, and the door crumpled inward, revealing the control room beyond.

Inside, a squad of droids and their neimodian masters turned to face them, their sharp voices issuing commands to the security droids. The room was a maze of terminals and holo-displays, glowing with data streams. The squad rushed in, engaging in a fierce firefight.

After eliminating the battle droids and secure the prisoners, the squad took full control of all system in the ship as well as the Vulture droids and OOM still fighting inside and outside the ship.

"Keller I want those droids to stop attacking our troops and make sure that the main ships received the message that the ship is now under our control"

"Yes, sir" Keller nodded, typing rapidly. "Reprogramming now. All active OOM battle droids and vulture droids are switching allegiance... Done! They're targeting enemy forces and standing down against our troops."

In the control room, Corporal Mendez smirked. "Well, looks like we've got ourselves an army," he quipped. "Or what remained of it"

Drax stood tall, his voice firm as he addressed the team. "This ship is now under our command. Vega, Henson secure the prisoners. Keller, keep monitoring those systems. Everyone else, prepare for the next phase. This battle isn't over yet."

The squad cheered softly, their weariness tempered by the victory. The Lucrehulk, once a symbol of Trade Federation dominance, was now a powerful weapon in their hands.
