Chapter 3: Multiverse Gaming Hub

-3rd POV-

"UmU! What a marvelous place, and such gracious wines!" A blonde-haired girl with striking green eyes exclaimed, her voice brimming with regal enthusiasm.

She was dressed in a flowing red gown that radiated the grandeur of Imperial Rome.

Her heroic aura and flawless, fair skin made her presence impossible to ignore as she sipped from the wine provided by the bar's owner—or rather, the owner of this Multiverse Gaming Hub, an internet café that catered to players from countless worlds spanning the franchises of his past life.

Even Nero Claudius, the former Emperor of Rome, found herself captivated by the allure of this sophisticated, otherworldly establishment.

The hub was a blend of modern luxury and multiversal innovation, offering not only fine drinks but also the thrill of gaming experiences that transcended dimensions.

It was a temptation even someone of her stature couldn't resist.

"Nero Claudius, welcome to the Multiverse Gaming Hub," a young man greeted her, his voice smooth and confident.

He had blonde hair, piercing blue eyes, and a handsome face.

A sophisticated smile played on his lips, exuding a charm that was both calculated and natural.

"So, this is not a tavern or anything of the sort?" Nero tilted her head curiously, her elegant features lighting up with curiosity.

While she bore the name and appearance of the Red Saber, this was not a mere Servant or Heroic Spirit.

This was Nero Claudius from Ancient Rome, transported straight from her era, still viewing the world through the lens of her time.

To her, this establishment resembled a tavern or some kind of social hub rather than what modern people would define as a bar.

"No, it's not," the man replied, pouring her another glass with practiced ease as he noticed hers was already empty.

"This is a place where you can relax and enjoy yourself, free from the burdens of your Caesar's duties." His tone was warm yet professional, and he moved with the precision of someone accustomed to handling high-profile guests.

"UmU! Thank you, truly! You're a man of culture, indeed. Uhm…? How should I call you?" Nero asked, raising a perfectly shaped brow.

"Shura. You can call me Shura," he introduced himself with a small bow, keeping his tone light yet respectful.

He purposely avoided using Morningstar as a last name despite how undeniably cool it sounded.

[Actually, you should, Developer! Shura Morningstar is such a badass name. Use it!]

No. Just Shura was fine.

"Shura, thank you. Speaking of which, this wine is delightful. How much does it cost?" Nero asked tentatively, swirling the liquid in her glass.

"It's free," Shura replied with a sly grin, his business-like demeanor betraying a hint of mischief.

After all, nothing in this world—or any other—was ever truly free.

"That will not do." Nero frowned, shaking her head firmly.

Her pride as the Caesar of Rome wouldn't allow her to accept charity, no matter how kind the gesture or how tempting the offer.

To her, taking something for free was an insult to her dignity and position.

"Don't worry about it for now. Just enjoy yourself, Nero Claudius. We can talk about payment later," Shura said casually, raising his glass in a toast.

His tone carried a finality that made it clear he wouldn't argue further.

Nero paused for a moment, then smirked, raising her glass to meet his. "UmU! Very well, Shura!"

The two clinked their glasses together, the sound ringing out like the prelude to some grand celebration.

They downed their drinks in satisfaction, savoring the moment as another guest entered the bar, signaling the start of yet another multiversal encounter.

"Wryyy!!! Why am I in a bar?!!!" A blonde-haired guy with golden eyes and a youthful face exclaimed in surprise, his voice sharp and brimming with indignation.

His narrowed gaze flicked between the two of us, suspicion written all over his face. "Did I ruin someone's date or something?"

"Welcome, Dio Brando. You can take a seat or walk out—it's up to you. This is the Multiverse Gaming Hub," Shura said with a sly grin, his tone casual yet confident as he gestured toward an empty chair.

His grin widened as he addressed the iconic figure standing before him—Dio Brando, still young and untarnished by the Stone Mask.

Honestly, most of the JoJo timelines were a blur to him, but this guy?

He was unforgettable.

"Interesting... Multiverse Gaming Hub, huh?" Dio's mocking voice echoed through the bar, laced with arrogance and disdain. "If this is truly a Multiverse Gaming Hub, then call me the Vampire God, kiddo."

"Tch, Shura, can I teach this arrogant bastard a lesson? He's insufferable," Nero Claudius cut in, glaring daggers at Dio.

Her green eyes practically burned with irritation as she turned to Shura, her newest friend.

She didn't appreciate the passive-aggressive tone Dio had aimed at them and wasn't shy about voicing her displeasure.

"You want proof, do you, Dio Brando?" Shura chuckled, his expression calm and composed, betraying none of the latent power simmering beneath the surface.

But something shifted in the air—an almost imperceptible change that made Dio's smug grin falter.

His confident stance wavered, and for the first time, a flicker of fear crossed his face.

A cold sweat broke out on Dio's forehead as an oppressive force bore down on him, suffocating and inescapable.

His legs buckled beneath him, and he collapsed to his knees, trembling like a leaf in a storm. His golden eyes widened, his face pale as though all the blood had been drained from it.

Ragged breaths escaped his lips as he struggled against the invisible pressure.

"Argh…! I apologize, boss! Stop it!" Dio screamed, his voice cracking as he begged for mercy.

The once-proud wannabe vampire-to-be was now groveling, utterly helpless before Shura's display of dominance.

Satisfied, Shura eased the pressure, leaving Dio gasping for air.

"Good. Now, if you behave and show some respect, you'll be treated as a guest," he said, his tone light but firm.

Dio scrambled to his feet, still shaking, and hurriedly took the seat Shura had pointed out earlier.

He dared not provoke the bar's owner further. The message had been delivered loud and clear—Shura wasn't someone to mess with.

"Great. As long as you keep it respectful, you'll be fine." Shura's grin returned as he poured a glass of wine and slid it across the counter.

Dio accepted it with a shaky hand and a forced smile.

"Thank you, boss," he said, his tone dripping with false gratitude.

"Relax, Dio. Enjoy the drink," Shura said with an amused shake of his head. "You've got nothing to fear as long as you don't push your luck."

Dio nodded quickly, keeping his mouth shut this time.

The drink trembled in his hands as he took a cautious sip, still reeling from the overwhelming experience of tasting the bar owner's godlike power.

Was the bar owner even human?

"UmU, it seems you're no ordinary person, Shura," Nero commented, her tone thoughtful as she leaned back and observed him with intrigue. "I'd like to know if you're as strong as the True Ancestors from legend."

Shura offered nothing but a cryptic smile in response, leaving her curiosity unsatisfied.

He poured himself a drink and leaned against the counter, waiting patiently for the next guest to arrive.

Dio and Nero sat silently, sipping their drinks.

The tension hung heavy in the air, the memory of Shura's overwhelming power still fresh in their minds.

Neither of them dared to speak, both deeply shaken by the undeniable truth—they were in the presence of someone far beyond their comprehension.

Luckily, the tense atmosphere in the bar was broken by the arrival of a third guest, who scratched his head awkwardly, clearly feeling out of place amidst the heavy silence.

"Excuse me… I don't think Academy City even allows bars to be established here," said a boy with spiky black hair, his tone sheepish but curious.

Shura, standing behind the counter with an air of calm authority, looked up and greeted the newcomer with a wide, welcoming grin.

"Welcome to the Multiverse Gaming Hub, Kamijou Touma," he said warmly, gesturing to the boy. Instead of pouring wine as he had for Dio and Nero, Shura grabbed a glass and filled it with freshly squeezed orange juice before sliding it across the counter toward Touma.

Feeling thirsty, Touma hesitated only for a second before accepting the drink with a grateful nod.

He raised the glass and gulped it down, the citrusy tang refreshing him instantly.

He couldn't help but feel thankful toward this seemingly kind and generous man—especially since he was always broke, a consequence of the constant misfortune that followed him everywhere like a curse.

Still, the name "Multiverse Gaming Hub" didn't make much sense to him, and the fact that this mysterious bar somehow existed in Academy City, seemingly without legal approval, raised even more questions.

But Shura's kind gesture had already earned Touma's trust, or at least his tolerance, so he decided to ask politely.

"So, boss," Touma began, setting the empty glass down on the counter. "What exactly is the Multiverse Gaming Hub?"

"UmU! We're curious too, Shura," Nero chimed in with enthusiasm, her green eyes sparkling as she leaned forward.

She then turned her gaze toward the sullen man next to her. "Don't you agree, Dio?"

Dio Brando stiffened at her words, his golden eyes narrowing.

His frustration flared briefly, but he suppressed it, rolling his eyes inwardly.

He couldn't stand this woman mentioning him so casually, especially in the presence of this monster.

The memory of Shura's earlier display of power still clung to Dio like a heavy shadow, leaving him on edge.

Still, the situation didn't allow him to remain passive.

With a reluctant nod, he feigned agreement.

"Of course," he said flatly, though his tone carried more resignation than curiosity.

Shura smirked, clearly enjoying the mix of tension and curiosity in the room.

"Come with me," he said, turning on his heel with a flourish. "I'll show you the new world."

The three guests exchanged uncertain glances, a mix of curiosity and wariness reflected in their eyes.

Finally, their shared curiosity got the better of them.

Without a word, they followed Shura, stepping into whatever strange reality awaited them beyond the walls of this mysterious bar.
