Chapter 225: Chapter 225

As Kakashi's body ignited with blue flames, he tilted his head to the side, watching the ethereal blaze flicker harmlessly. Despite the intense light and heat, his clothes remained perfectly intact, and nothing around him caught fire. The flames seemed almost polite as if they knew better than to cause unnecessary chaos.

He scratched the back of his head with his free hand, his trademark nonchalant tone kicking in. "Huh, not bad. Flames that don't burn my clothes? Practical and stylish. Marco knew what he was doing with this fruit."

Kakashi glanced down at his hands, flexing them as the flames coiled like living streams around him. His lips curved into a small, satisfied smile. "Guess I finally leveled up. All that spicy content I skipped to save up points paid off."

Then, with a shrug, he added, "Mythical Zoan, Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix, huh? It sounds fancy enough for the bingo books. I wonder what Gai would say if he saw this... probably challenge me to some weird fire of youth endurance challenge."

His eyes turned serious momentarily as he watched the flames almost instantly heal a minor cut on his hand. "Yeah... that'll do nicely. Maybe I can keep up with Naruto and Sasuke after all."

And just as quickly, his smirk returned, his tone light again. "Well, better not let this go to my head. Can't be setting things on fire and inflating my ego."

With a sigh, he let the flames die, his mind already considering how best to show off this new ability without looking like he was showing off. After all, Kakashi Hatake had an image to maintain.

Although the Blue Flames lacked offensive capabilities, their specialty was unparalleled recovery. Even severe injuries could be instantly healed by the fire. It was nothing short of miraculous—an absurd power in terms of healing.

There was another reason Kakashi had chosen this fruit, apart from its remarkable restorative abilities. It granted him immense stamina, allowing him to endure much longer in battle. Known as the Fruit of the Phoenix, it significantly boosted his physical endurance and extended his combat duration far beyond what he could manage.

In other words, Kakashi now had no fear of running out of Chakra or stamina. The Phoenix Fruit had truly transformed him. Kakashi's biggest shortcoming has always been his lack of Chakra.

As the Sixth Hokage, Kakashi no longer has the Sharingan, and his Chakra reserves have reverted to the level of an ordinary Kage. If his ambition were simply to live as an average shinobi, this amount of Chakra might suffice.

But this is Kakashi—the Kakashi of Sharingan without Sharingan. Plus he was a Hokage!

For someone in his position, the Chakra level of a Kage is far from enough as he had students who had suppressed him in the amount of Chakra alone. However, with the power of the Phoenix Fruit, his strength has advanced by leaps and bounds.

According to preliminary estimates, Kakashi's physical stamina has increased by at least tenfold. Ten times! What does that mean in practical terms? While he still can't match the immense Chakra reserves of the Uzumaki Clan or Hashirama Senju, Kakashi now far surpasses most shinobi in sheer endurance.

What makes this improvement even more significant is Kakashi's mastery of ninjutsu. With his newfound stamina, he can unleash a vast array of techniques without holding back. No longer will he have to conserve Chakra during battles or rely on small, calculated tactics to test his opponent. Now, Kakashi can confidently and boldly deploy a wide variety of powerful ninjutsu.

This newfound freedom is the most satisfying aspect of his transformation.

Consider Marco, the original user of the Phoenix Fruit in the Pirate World. His abilities were legendary, granting him a nearly invincible status. During the Summit War, Marco battled multiple Admirals from start to finish without sustaining significant injuries. Later, during the Battle of the Tracks, he held his own against two top-tier opponents simultaneously, demonstrating the fruit's unparalleled enhancement of physical strength.

The Phoenix Fruit doesn't just boost stamina—it redefines the limits of endurance and power. For Kakashi, this is only the beginning.

At that moment, Kakashi felt a surge of energy within him. A pair of massive, fiery wings unfurled from his back. That's right—after acquiring the Phoenix Fruit, Kakashi had gained the ability to fly!

From a ninja limited to running on the ground, he had transformed into a powerful aerial force, a true strategic weapon. His strength had increased so dramatically that it was almost absurd.

Kakashi pondered for a moment. Where should I go to test these new abilities?

Just then, in the Hokage office, an ANBU named Kurohiko rushed in, visibly anxious.

"Lord Hokage! There's an emergency!"

Kakashi, sitting at his desk, raised an eyebrow and leaned forward, his interest piqued. "Go on. What's the situation?"

Kurohiko quickly explained, "A hidden laboratory has been discovered southeast of Konoha. It seems the people there have been experimenting with the Impure World Reincarnation technique. They've already summoned the third Raikage's reincarnation, and several of our ninjas have been seriously injured. We need reinforcements!"

Kakashi's eyes widened briefly in surprise at the mention of Impure World Reincarnation, but then a spark of excitement flickered in his gaze. This might be the perfect chance to test my new abilities.

Without wasting a moment, he stood up decisively and turned to Kurohiko. "Lead the way. Take me there immediately!"

Kurohiko hesitated, his face pale with concern. "Lord Hokage, wouldn't it be too dangerous for you to go alone?"

Kakashi gave a calm smile, his voice steady. "Are you doubting my strength? Remember, I am the Hokage."

Kurohiko quickly lowered his head, realizing his misstep. "Understood, Lord Hokage. I'll guide you at once!"

A few minutes later, at the southeast corner of Konoha, near the entrance to a remote cave, chaos unfolded.

Several Konoha shinobi were gravely injured. Some were unable to stand, while two others, though barely able to remain upright, continued to fight, relying on sheer willpower to protect their comrades.

They were battling the Impure World Reincarnation of the Raikage, a relentless foe.

"Sorry, young Shinobi," the resurrected Raikage said, his voice tinged with regret. "I'm under someone's control, so I can't hold back. It seems your resistance may not last much longer."

The Konoha ninjas gritted their teeth, fully aware of the grim reality. They were overpowered. One of them muttered in frustration, "Where is the backup? Haven't reinforcements arrived yet?"

At that moment, a sharp, birdlike cry echoed from above. Everyone instinctively looked up, startled.

A massive blue bird descended swiftly from the sky, its body engulfed in brilliant flames.

Boom!

The fiery bird landed with force, its flames casting an eerie glow across the scene.

The Konoha shinobi, exhausted and wary, stared at the strange figure with a mix of fear and confusion.

"Could this be a new enemy?" Aoba muttered, his voice tense with uncertainty. His extensive field experience told him that something wasn't right, but he couldn't yet pinpoint the threat.

"This is it... we're done for," Kiba despaired, his usual bravado gone as he glanced around at his comrades, his instincts screaming that they were outmatched.

As whispers of doubt and fear spread among the injured shinobi, the flames surrounding the bird suddenly vanished. The avian form began to shift, transforming into a human figure.

It was Kakashi.

For a moment, silence hung in the air as the realization sank in. Then came the exclamations:

"Wait, is that—"

One of the ANBU's voices trailed off, his eyes widening in disbelief as he caught sight of the figure stepping through the smoke.

"Hokage-sama?!" Yukimaru gasped his expression a mix of shock and relief.

"Master Hokage! You're here!" Ibiki Morino exclaimed, his usual stoic demeanor replaced by a glimmer of hope in his eyes.

Anko couldn't help but smirk despite the tension in the air. "We're saved!" she remarked, the weight of their situation easing as Kakashi's presence filled the space.

Kiba's posture shifted, his body relaxing as a wave of confidence washed over him. "That's the Hokage we know," he muttered, already feeling a renewed sense of strength knowing their leader had arrived to turn the tide in their favor.

The injured shinobi erupted with relief and excitement, their spirits lifting at the sight of their leader. Even the resurrected Raikage looked at Kakashi with intrigue.

"Kakashi of the Sharingan," he said thoughtfully. "Even in pure world I have heard your name and am familiar with your reputation... but I've never heard of you possessing such an ability. Impressive."

Then, his expression darkened. "But let me warn you. You cannot defeat me on your own. I suggest you call for reinforcements."

Kakashi, unfazed by Raikage's words, gave a calm yet confident smile.

"Everyone, fall back," Kakashi ordered, addressing the Konoha shinobi. "Leave this to me."

The ninjas hesitated for a moment but ultimately obeyed, retreating to safety.

Raikage sighed as he regarded Kakashi. "Hokage, huh? Your fame is well-earned, and I'll admit it's not an easy path to reach such heights. But it's a shame—you'll meet your end here, by my hand."

Kakashi remained composed, ready to face the resurrected Raikage head-on.
