Chapter 357 Reinforcements
Hearing Tie Tou's words, Chen Xing's mind stirred.
There's strength in numbers; with so many Dragon Kings in the Dragon Emperor Giant City, not to mention all of them going, even if only a tenth went, they could influence the outcome of the battle.
As for Tie Tou, although being at the pinnacle of Transcendence isn't bad, it would need to try harder to change the tide of battle.
....
Chen Xing returned to the Light Dragon branch's Minor World with Dong Jun.
Under Chen Xing's "guidance",
upon entering the Minor World, Dong Jun looked up and stuffed some secret treasure onions into its eyes.
Tears streamed down its face; even from afar, without having seen the old Silver Dragon, its wailing cry echoed throughout the Minor World.
It could be said to sadden the listener and move them to tears.
Those unaware would think this little one had just lost its grandfather.
The old Silver Dragon, basking blissfully in the Bright Spring Pool, heard the wailing and tensed up, its heart skipping a beat – who had bullied it?
It suddenly sat up, flipping over and causing a massive wave.
The water reaching the shore soon seeped into the soil at the edge, which subtly undulated as if alive, absorbing the light-infused water until it was completely gone.
The old Silver Dragon charged shoreward in a fury, and upon seeing the utterly aggrieved Dong Jun, immediately embraced the child in its arms.
"What's wrong, who has bullied you?"
When the old Silver Dragon spoke, divine radiance shined brilliantly behind it, illuminating the entire sky.
"My master's home was destroyed, a bunch of bad guys barged into our house and started smashing and looting everything, I didn't know what to do," Dong Jun said with a pitiful look.
Wait a second...
The old Great Sunlight Silver Dragon, wise to the ways of deceit, instantly sensed something was off.
Upon reflecting on these words, it turned its head toward Chen Xing on Dong Jun's back and was silent for a while, "Did you teach him to say this?"
Chen Xing looked up at the sky.
"Master didn't teach me, I figured it all out on my own!" Dong Jun quickly explained.
Chen Xing's mouth twitched, thinking the explanation was worse than saying nothing.
The old Great Sunlight Silver Dragon narrowed its eyes, contemplating for a moment, "Since others have bullied my dear grandson, it seems I too should stretch my old bones, otherwise I fear not many in this world will remember the name of the Silver Dragon King."
"Your old home is in the Great Xia, right? The Flaming Territory... a rather remote place," it mused.
Another old Light Dragon, disturbed by the commotion, crawled out of the ground near the corner and couldn't help but chime in, "Old brother, if I recall correctly, one young dragon from the Fire Vein was taken away, and it was brought to the Flaming Territory."
"Seems there was such an event, now that you mention it, it rings a bell," the old Silver Dragon said thoughtfully, sifting through its lengthy memories where some were buried deep and required a trigger to surface.
"Don't worry, my presence alone is enough. The others are all old bones; they cannot act rashly or else their bones might disintegrate," the old Silver Dragon explained.
Hearing this, the other old Light Dragons huffed and glared, deeply offended by any implication of their old age.
It was the same with dragons.
Moreover, this was in front of their Legendary Bloodline descendants. If they didn't seize the opportunity to forge good relations now, who would recognize them later?
A fully matured Legendary Bloodline could stand against a True God.
The chance to befriend a True God was rare.
"The older our kind gets, the stronger we become, who's spreading these slanderous rumors about us!" the old Light Dragons leapt from the ground, each radiating a powerful Divine Light, looking from afar like a bunch of lightbulbs hanging in the sky.
"However, the City Lord has decreed that we dragons must not meddle in the conflicts of other powers," the old Great Sunlight Silver Dragon said helplessly.
Reverting its tone, it continued, "It doesn't matter for me, Dong Jun is my grandchild, it's a personal matter when I intervene. But on what grounds would you all act?"
The old dragons eagerly began to interject.
"It's my god-grandchild!"
"That's right, I've decided to take it as my god-grandchild. Its matters are our matters."
"But the City Lord..." the old Silver Dragon hesitated, appearing somewhat concerned.
"We've watched Bai Mu grow up; it wouldn't speak out of turn. Besides, the Dragon Mother issued a divine edict commanding us to ensure its safety," they argued.
The old Silver Dragon shook its head, "No, the divine edict stated that it could come to the Dragon Emperor Giant City for sanctuary in times of danger, not that we should go out and wage war for it. We must maintain neutrality."
"We'll speak to the City Lord! Besides, the City Lord has already conveyed the Dragon Mother's edict recently, asking us to protect it. Acting preemptively to eliminate threats is also a form of protection," an old Light Dragon, with scales so silvery they appeared dark, cackled mischievously.
Hearing this, the other old dragons echoed in agreement.
In the end, the old Light Dragons reached a consensus.
They selected five representatives and decided to send five Dragon Kings to accompany Dong Jun back to Great Xia.
The rest would remain in the Light Vein Minor World, as it couldn't be left entirely without Dragon King guardians.

"When do we set off?" the old Silver Dragon looked down at Chen Xing.
Chen Xing met its gaze, and the old Silver Dragon discreetly winked, signaling how well it had cooperated this time.
Chen Xing quietly gave a thumbs up.
"Respected elders, please rest for a day. We'll set off tomorrow; I'll plan the route first," Chen Xing suggested after some consideration.
Heading there with so many Dragon Kings, if they were too conspicuous, it would be a clear target.
And given the Dragon Mother's divine edict, he also had his concerns and wanted to choose a safe route.
"Why bother with such trouble, our Dragon Clan has a Teleportation Array that leads directly there," the old Silver Dragon said with a slight smile upon seeing Chen Xing's baffled face. "It's quite normal for a lineage with such a long inheritance to have some hidden Teleportation Arrays, isn't it?"
Back at his residence, Chen Xing hadn't expected things to go smoother than he had imagined.
