Chapter 103:
Chapter 103:
In the underground blood pool of Black Wind City, Blade Demon Li Kuang colluded with the Blood Demon to stage a grand scheme. Their plan was to create a scenario where Qin Fei would not only play the hero by saving a damsel in distress but also earn significant merit for the Azure Sun Sword Sect. This would pave the way for Qin Fei to gain the trust of the sect and establish his prestige.
In his previous life, Qin Fei had undoubtedly succeeded.
But in this life, Qin Fei wanted to play the hero again? To gain merit for the sect? To establish his authority within it?
Dream on.
Xiao Yang, lurking outside the blood pool, had overheard their plans clearly. Moreover, Qin Fei intended to lure him into a trap and eliminate him. This would allow Qin Fei to secure the position of Holy Son of the Azure Sun Sword Sect even faster. If he succeeded in ascending to the sect leader’s position and obtaining the Azure Sun Sword, it would be a monumental achievement for the Demon Sect.
Xiao Yang didn’t want to listen anymore and quietly retreated. Jiang Ting, Lei Renjie, Song Qiang, and the others were temporarily out of danger, so he decided to play along with their game.
At this moment, the Fox Den had already been burned to the ground, and even Hu Xian’er had been slain by Li Kuang’s blade. No one knew whether Xiao Yang was alive or dead. However, the old spider had seen him. Should he deal with that old spider?
Xiao Yang stepped out from the shattered bronze gate, glancing to the left passage, which led to the spider demon’s lair. The right passage extended toward the now-ruined Fox Den. To his surprise, despite the prolonged fire at the Fox Den, not a trace of smoke had entered the passage.
It seemed the Fox Den had ventilation elsewhere.
Without hesitation, Xiao Yang leaped skyward, exiting through the large hole in the Black Wind City plaza and vanishing into the darkness.
By now, the blood moon in the sky had disappeared. Corpses littered the city, victims of the Blood Demon’s secret techniques, which drained their blood and transformed them into mindless corpses under its control. No wonder these bodies were devoid of blood.
Xiao Yang didn’t wander far. He stood silently under the eaves outside the plaza, blending seamlessly into the surrounding darkness. By now, the eastern sky was beginning to brighten. The night was ending, and dawn was approaching. It had been a harrowing night.
Just before dawn, an eerie force emerged from the city’s underground, enveloping the entire city. Xiao Yang noticed a nearby corpse twitching, its limbs jerking unnaturally before the body staggered upright and began moving in a particular direction, soon disappearing from view. Shortly after, countless corpses across the city vanished, including shattered remains. The city became eerily empty once more.
Xiao Yang turned his gaze toward the massive hole in the plaza. It remained unchanged. As dawn broke and sunlight fell upon Black Wind City, the strange force dissipated, along with the mist enveloping the city. Everything from the previous night seemed like a fleeting nightmare. Now, Black Wind City appeared to be nothing more than a desolate, abandoned ghost town. Who could have imagined that such a barren city concealed a hidden world beneath its surface?
At this moment, the large hole in the plaza stirred. Three figures emerged, catching Xiao Yang’s attention immediately. They were Qin Fei and two of Li Kuang’s disciples. The disciples, masters of blade arts in the Tianwu realm, glanced around before swiftly leaving. Xiao Yang followed them quietly.
The three men wove through the city’s streets and alleys until they stopped before a house. Qin Fei pushed the door open and entered, with Li Kuang’s disciples following and closing the wooden door behind them. Xiao Yang approached the door silently and listened.
“Young Master, we have no idea where Xiao Yang is. Finding him won’t be easy!” one of Li Kuang’s disciples said.
“There’s no need to find him. He’ll come to us,” Qin Fei replied coldly.
“What?” The two disciples were incredulous. “How could that be?”
“Simple. Once we spread the news that Jiang Ting and the other Azure Sun Sword Sect disciples are trapped in Black Wind City, do you think Xiao Yang will ignore it?” Qin Fei sneered. No one understood Xiao Yang’s feelings for Jiang Ting better than he did.
Despite Xiao Yang’s cold treatment of her—even slapping her in public—it was all a ruse. If Jiang Ting were truly in danger, there was no way Xiao Yang would stand by idly.
“Young Master, that’s brilliant!”
“As expected of Young Master. We’re impressed!” Li Kuang’s disciples flattered Qin Fei. He was, after all, the Holy Sect’s Young Master and a potential successor. Aligning with him would secure their bright futures.
“Spread the news as soon as possible. Xiao Yang will surely come, and when he does… hehehe!” Qin Fei’s face twisted into a sinister grin. Clenching his fists, he muttered, “Xiao Yang, if you dare to come, I’ll make you wish you were dead.”
Qin Fei’s hatred for Xiao Yang was bone-deep. After being mutilated by Xiao Yang and turned into a eunuch, his shame and rage had festered endlessly. He longed to tear Xiao Yang to pieces to vent his fury.
“Xiao Yang, no matter where you are, I know you’ll come here,” Qin Fei whispered to himself.
Outside, Xiao Yang smirked as he heard this. The next moment, he stepped to the wooden door and kicked it open, entering boldly.
“Junior Brother, were you looking for me?” Xiao Yang stood directly before Qin Fei.
Qin Fei was startled. “M-M-Master Senior Brother?”
He was dumbfounded, unable to believe Xiao Yang had suddenly barged in. What now? Caught conspiring with Li Kuang’s disciples, Qin Fei faced accusations of colluding with remnants of the Demon Sect—a crime punishable by death, even for someone with an innate Dao body like his.
What to do? What to do?
As the thought of silencing Xiao Yang crossed Qin Fei’s mind, Li Kuang’s disciples acted immediately.
“You’re Xiao Yang? Die!” they shouted, unleashing their flying blades toward him, filling the room with a storm of blade energy.
“Hmph.” Xiao Yang smirked and raised his hand, executing the Heavenly Sword Finger technique. The blade energy shattered mid-air.
“What…!” The two blade masters were horrified.
In an instant, Xiao Yang struck their dantian points and then Qin Fei’s. Despite their Tianwu-level cultivation, they couldn’t evade his technique. Li Kuang’s disciples spat blood, staring at Xiao Yang in terror.
“You… destroyed my dantian?” one of them stammered in disbelief.
“Senior Brother, why are you sealing my dantian?” Qin Fei asked in panic, realizing he couldn’t even react to Xiao Yang’s moves.
“Junior Brother, you dared to collude with remnants of the Demon Sect. You’re finished.” Xiao Yang’s lips curled into a smile as he looked at Qin Fei.
