After Being Abducted and Raised by A Snake

Chapter 17

The black snake laid atop the mountains, basking in the moonlight, admiring itself in the mirror, while absorbing the essence of heaven and earth.

Wan Zhong had dinner within the high wall constructed by the black snake’s tail. Before going to bed, he planned to take the white stone the black snake used to make a fire and bring it along when he left the next day.

After all, although the method of using a mirror to start a fire could be recycled infinitely, it was a lot of works. It required sunlight. For instance, this method wouldn’t work on cloudy days, evenings, dark nights, or in dense woods.

Wan Zhong had attempted other fire-starting methods, like drilling wood, but all failed without exception.

The great civilizations briefly mentioned in books had many limitations in practical applications. Besides requiring excellent physical strength, endurance, and technique, they also demanded an exceptionally large amount of time, with no guarantee of success.

The white stone the black snake used seemed to be very useful.

With it, there would be no more worries about lighting a fire.

Wan Zhong went to pick it up happily, but before he could bend down, the back of his hand received a hard slap from the snake’s tail.

“Hiss!”

This marked the first time since he arrived at the black snake’s place that it had struck him with its tail.

Wan Zhong saw the black snake narrowing its vertical pupils, warning him not to touch the white stone, and thought it was being overbearing.

He was secretly annoyed but kept an obedient face.

Rubbing the red and sore back of his hand, he climbed into the chicken skin bag, giving the black snake a pat on its back.

The black snake spat out a snake tongue, rolled Wan Zhong toward the fire, and placed a part of its tail between him and the flames, seemingly protecting him from rolling into the fire during sleep.

With his hand burning in pain, he thought, “You give me a beating first, then a softness, I won’t accept your favor.”

Curling up and burying his head in the bag, he pretended not to understand the black snake’s intent, turning over to ignore it.

Thinking Wan Zhong didn’t notice its tail, the black snake poked his buttocks, signaling him to sleep while holding its tail.

He was about to pretend to sleep when the black snake opened its upper and lower mouth with a forked snake tongue, displaying its two big white fangs. It narrowed its vertical pupils, seemingly asking him, ‘How do you like my white teeth?’

Wan Zhong: “!!!”

A man could bend and stretch, but a man had to bow his head under the eaves of a snake.

Wan Zhong immediately rolled back to his original position, raised his arms and legs, and hugged the tail of the snake, slightly warmed by the fire. Feeling warm and comfortable, he affectionately rubbed his face against its scales.

The black snake: “~~~” So good.

The bright moon hung high in the sky, and stormy waves crashed on the shore. A man and a snake leaned on each other on the mountaintop until dawn.

.

As the first ray of dawn illuminated Wan Zhong’s face, the distant morning star continued to shine.

Wan Zhong guessed this must be the highest point on the desert island. As far as the eye could see, there was no higher terrain.

He looked down.

In addition to the boundless sea, there were endless mountains and forests that couldn’t be seen to the end.

Was this really an island?

Visually, it seemed more like a continent based on the land area.

Before leaving, while the black snake wasn’t watching, Wan Zhong secretly picked up a scrap that fell from the white stone, about the size of an egg, and put it into a chicken skin bag while using sand to extinguish the fire.

He wanted to try the effect of the white stone when they returned to the snake nest.

He picked it up and threw it to the ground.

No effect.

Taking it in his hand, he smashed it against a stone.

The moment white smoke rose, the skin on his hands burned off from the intense heat.

“Ah!”

Wan Zhong screamed in pain, falling into thick smoke, and was rolled back into the snake’s nest by the black snake’s tail.

All the pain seemed to dissipate when he met the black snake’s cold vertical pupils.

Wan Zhong lowered his head, gasping in pain. Even though the cold pool was close, he didn’t dare to move an inch.

What to do? The black snake would surely be angry, right?

Most definitely.

Wan Zhong held his peeling hands covered with blisters, shaking his body as he watched the shadow of the black snake moved closer, easily covering him in its huge shadow.

Just when he was too scared to breathe, the black snake lowered its head and licked the wounds on his hands and the dense blisters.

“Woo~!”

In the moment of severe pain, Wan Zhong felt the black snake’s tongue was also covered with scales. But when it stopped, the wounds burned by the high temperature had regenerated cells and showed signs of healing.

Sweating profusely, with a pale face, Wan Zhong was secretly shocked by the power of the black snake’s saliva when suddenly, the snake swung its tail and pushed him against the stone wall.

“Hiss!”

Wan Zhong’s first reaction was it was over; the angry black snake was going to eat him.

His legs trembling, ready to run, the black snake used the tip of its tail to pull down his pants and underwear, “Pah, pah, pah!” hitting his left and right buttocks more than a dozen times fairly.

It seemed to be punishing him for being disobedient.
