Accidentally Becoming a Great Prophet?!

Chapter 8 - Customers Are Still Scary

To start with the conclusion, I didn’t have to do two fortune tellings in one day.
This customer I encountered at the bus stop was quite kind, unlike the previous customer, Hatieri, I had met just before.
…There was a slight drawback in that she seemed to talk a bit too much, but it was still much better than being kidnapped and forced to do a fortune telling just moments ago.
Anyway, I explained my situation that I was about to go on a trip and needed to leave quickly, and this customer understood my position, even though she seemed disappointed.
And right after that, she made a reservation for a week later, and only then was I able to happily take the bus and head towards the station where my friends would be waiting.
And the trip I enjoyed like that was really fun.
You know, I had been quite exhausted by this damn fortune-telling life. Especially mentally…
Moreover, just before leaving for a trip to heal, I was suddenly kidnapped and had to do a fortune telling in that brutal place and even heard some chilling words… My mind felt quite desolate.
Of course, I earn a lot of money… but unlike the accumulating money, my mental state is that of an ordinary citizen. Thanks to the money, I’ve been doing some financial therapy, but even that has its limits.
After resting and playing with my friends like that, I returned home with a comfortable mind, having recovered my tired body and mind.
And even after returning home, for a few days, I didn’t receive any customers and enjoyed the life of a well-off basement-dwelling unemployed person, locked up in my room.
Playing games to my heart’s content! Ordering all three meals because I was too lazy to cook! Sleeping whenever I wanted to! Sleeping in late! That kind of life.
The effect was really good. My tired body and mind returned to normal.
Enjoying such comfortable and cozy days, about a week passed, and the day of the appointment with the customer I met at the bus stop approached.
Until then, it was fine. My mental state had long since recovered, and this customer seemed quite kind.
On top of that, I was thinking of reducing the number of customers I received for the sake of my mental health. After all, even if I reduced the number of customers, I would still make enough money to live comfortably.
And with that money, I need to be healthy to use it well and enjoy it, right?
Anyway, as I was thinking such thoughts, the time passed, and the customer arrived right on time for the appointment, and I smiled as I let her in.
And I took out the card game cards I often use for fortune telling at home and prepared to do a reading.
Since the fortune tellings went very well regardless of what cards I used, there was no need to spend expensive money on expensive cards, so I just kept using these cards. Well, sometimes when I didn’t feel inspired, I would do readings with playing cards or hwatu cards.
Anyway, just as I was about to do a very peaceful fortune telling, that very peaceful moment was shattered in an instant.
Crack!
‘Huh? Crack?’
With a sudden sound of something breaking, my house door suddenly shattered and opened, and someone appeared there.
“Oh? Why is the door of a house where such a capable person lives so fragile?”
The moment I saw who that person was, my eyes trembled.
The person who broke in through the door was the superhuman Hatieri, whom I hadn’t heard from for a week and hadn’t even thought about!
‘To think she’d actually appear! And by breaking my house door!!’
“Hey, Teacher! I broke your door, sorry! Instead, I’ll put in a brand new one… Hmm?”
Hatieri, who was waving at me and smiling brightly after roughly pushing aside the broken door, stopped her gaze somewhere, and suddenly her expression crumpled.
And it was the same for the customer who had turned her head to look at the entrance due to the sudden commotion.
“…Bargr? Why are you here…”
“Blue Jade…? Why is that woman here…”
For a moment, Hatieri’s eyes and the customer’s brow twitched, and suddenly something clashed, turning the inside of the house into a complete mess.
“Whoa!?”
Ah, of course, I was no exception and was thrown along with it.
It wasn’t strange, considering it was the clash of auras from S-rank powerhouses, veritable monsters.
Dam Han-ul might not have felt it, but just from the collision of these two’s auras, all the people in the building except for Dam Han-ul had not only fainted but the building was shaking as if it might collapse. If it continued even a little longer, the aftermath would spread beyond this building.
And in such a situation, Dam Han-ul, who was the only one who could mediate this situation but was rolled across the living room and stuck in a corner in a strange posture… was, of course, unable to come to his senses.
‘Ah… This is really f*cking awful… Why are they doing this to me, really…’
Dam Han-ul really hated his customers.

Cheong So-ha, the head of Cheongson, one of the top 10 guilds in Korea, and an S-rank hunter, had been feeling excited since this morning.
‘Finally!’
It was because today she would finally be able to resolve the worry that had been troubling her for a long time.
A week ago, Cheong So-ha had managed to make time and went to find a supposedly very skilled fortune teller, but perhaps due to timing issues, she couldn’t meet him and had to turn back. However, thanks to a canceled schedule afterwards, she had time and waited for the fortune teller teacher near there, and finally managed to meet him outside the bus stop rather than at his home.
In that time, she also gained additional information, and after a brief confirmation, she could tell it was him, and immediately requested a fortune telling… but the response was a refusal. The fortune teller teacher also had his own schedule.
Instead, she was able to make a reservation for a week later, so she was satisfied with that as a compromise.
And after a week passed, when she visited with high expectations, this time she was able to get a fortune telling, and just as she was about to start, an uninvited guest appeared.
“…Bargr? Why are you here…?”
Moreover, this uninvited guest was a tremendous big shot.
No, why would a big shot from the underworld based in Northern Europe come here?
It even seemed that their purposes roughly overlapped.
Feeling displeased that the moment she had been waiting for so long was being interfered with, Cheong So-ha didn’t hide her displeasure and showed it, and it was the same for ‘Bargr’ Scolia ‘Fenrir’ Hatieri, who had come to find the fortune teller Dam Han-ul.
After getting her fortune told by the fortune teller, Dam Han-ul, she immediately returned to her base and, as per the fortune’s results, rooted out the traitors.
It wasn’t difficult to find them. The fortune teller’s reading was incredibly accurate, and while he didn’t give names, he provided everything needed to identify the traitors.
Once she looked into it a bit, evidence of betrayal popped up easily.
The identities of the traitors were three executives who had joined when the organization was growing and settling, not the executives who had been with her since the small mercenary group days, sharing life and death.
Two of them were not particularly trusted by Hatieri herself and weren’t exceptionally capable. However, the last one was someone she truly trusted. He was also a talented individual.
But even though he was someone she believed in and trusted, once she realized he was a traitor, that belief and trust cooled, so the internal cleanup wasn’t too difficult.
However… it was really annoying that the identity of the guy she trusted turned out to be someone planted from the start by a rival organization that was wary of her organization, Bargr Fang’s expansion.
“How did it feel to deceive me? You damn bastard.”
“…Ku, kuku… How can you say that? It was truly fantastic! Selling out this trash organization for a guaranteed road to success!! I, I only regret that I couldn’t do it and am dying…”
“Is that so? Then I can purely enjoy this too, thanks to you.”
Hatieri, who brutally tore the traitor to death, moved immediately.
Being moody and one of the top powerhouses in Europe, Hatieri wasn’t the type to hold back unless she was facing monstrous powerhouses beyond comprehension.
Like that, in four days, it took just that much time for Hatieri, mobilizing Bargr Fang’s forces, to crush the rival organization that had deceived her until now and to stab the hearts of the traitors into the heart of their leader.
“Phew… Now, how do I repay this debt…?”
Hatieri, who continues to trust those she trusts unless something really significant happens and is clear about debts and gratitude, pondered on how to pay the balance to the fortune teller teacher who had enabled her to root out the traitors in three days, and after much deliberation, prepared the balance and headed to Korea.
It wasn’t too difficult to locate the fortune teller teacher, so Hatieri, who had immediately come to the teacher’s house with the prepared balance payment, feeling excessively confident, felt her mood worsen when she saw the prior guest already seated inside.
“Blue Jade…? Why is that woman here…”
An S-rank hunter in the light of the Korean superhuman industry. She was well aware of that reputation. It would be more surprising if an actively working S-rank superhuman’s name wasn’t known.
Anyway, seeing another big shot attached to the teacher she had come to find and was indebted to made Hatieri uncomfortable, and when two S-rank superhumans became uncomfortable, an accident occurred just from their auras.
If this escalated into a fight, that small accident would be cute in comparison to the true disaster that would occur.

However, fortunately, things didn’t escalate that far.
“S-stop…!!”
Thanks to the desperate shout of Dam Han-ul, the weakest being here in terms of strength alone, the two stopped their clash.
