Chapter 512: 12 Sea Monster Kings (Vote for Monthly Ticket)
Morgan's miracle involves a Miracle Flute that can transmit the Miracle Power through sound.
The Power of Folly doesn't just affect aquatic creatures, it also covers the animals and plants on land, it's just that compared to the inherently flowing water, air as a medium has obvious limitations.
Because of cost-effectiveness, Morgan abandoned the land beasts and instead specialized in the flora and fauna deep beneath the sea.
Aquatic life is vast and varied; not counting plants, there are also cnidarians, mollusks, crustaceans, mammals, and the most common fish.
Cnidarian animals refer to sea anemones, jellyfish, corals, starfish, and similar seemingly plant-like marine life, which, when mutated, mostly grow to a massive size and evolve various elemental forges within.
Their destructive power is comparable to the crimson crab, capable of launching devastating attacks akin to nuclear bombs.
Alas, their law conversion efficiency is exceedingly low.
For Miracle Troop Types blessed with various graces and protections, the actual damage they can do is not high, resulting in low efficiency.
This is also a flaw of beastly berserker troop types; they are all about powerful but clumsy attacks, which are easily outmaneuvered by more tactical enemies.
Crustaceans usually refer to arthropods with shells, like shrimps and crabs.
This category is most prevalent among Master Level troop types. Morgan used the Miracle Power to fuse them with corals and other slow-moving or immobilized life forms, creating mobile artillery like the volcano-back crimson crab.
Through this method, Morgan not only addressed the issue of tactical ineptness of the sea beasts but also allowed cnidarian sea beasts to move freely, concurrently allowing them to launch covering strikes against their enemies.
Fish are the most numerous, but their top tier only reaches the Heroic Level.
As for why, Morgan isn't quite sure.
The ancient feast of folly is not an easily researched miracle, nor has Morgan ever had a Child of Miracle with a scientific talent.
Having said all that, the truly powerful under Morgan's command are the mammal and mollusk categories.
Squids, snails, and octopuses, these belong to the mollusk category.
Perhaps due to their shape being closer to the system of folly, these creatures far surpass other sea beasts in terms of evolutionary speed and potential.
Many of Morgan's King-level sea beasts belong to this category. Their abilities are not elemental but rather terrifying and god-like skills.
Once the King Incarnation is used, they not only enter an Infinite Laws state but also obtain something entirely new — Divinity.
The emergence of Divinity means that once Morgan's King-level sea monsters undergo Law Incarnation, they will transform into Evil Gods.
Battling in the guise of an Evil God, their capability limits are instantly elevated, perfectly making up for the shortcomings of organic and beastly troop types compared to others.
In the war of miracles, focusing solely on the magnitude of explosions is what distinguishes the ranks between Heroes and Masters.
For true King-level entities, if your attack's Power of Laws is insufficient, even destroying a plane of existence couldn't harm your opponent.
Not to mention, what would you do against someone with energy immunity or physical immunity?
There's no solution.
This is absolute immunity; you must first offset it with the corresponding Power of Laws before you can inflict real damage.
"Are these the Kings of the South Sea Kingdom?"
Yellow Spring, following the Deep Sea King, had arrived beyond the sea region, where she saw a group of indescribable, unnamable entities that words could hardly describe.
Fortunately, it's Yellow Spring here; if it were someone else, let alone a Mortal, even an ordinary Transcendent might suffer agonizingly from the pheromones unconsciously emitted by these creatures.
"The Hidden of Ys, Polar White Frost, Dagan Shennie, Ancient Traveler, Mandrake Bone Hound, Green Abyss Queen, Haibara Mist Demon, Giant Phagocytic Worm, Rainbow God, Black Goat, Formless Mycelium, Ancient Leather Giant."
Deep Sea King: "These are all the King-level powerhouses of my South Sea Kingdom."
"Roar!!!"
It seemed to demonstrate the strength of the Deep Sea King. Several of the twelve Kings let out world-shaking roars, allowing Yellow Spring to feel their power, as well as the dimensions and planes they each dominated.
"Clap clap clap."
Yellow Spring lightly applauded: "Not bad, very good indeed."
Kings ascend, Legends become divine, even these King-level Sea Monsters before her eyes should possess the power after ascending.
"Can I choose any?"
"Yes."
"How many can I have?"
"Three to four," said Deep Sea King, treating Yellow Spring as a junior, "Any more, and I might not have enough for myself."
"Then I'll take two."
Yellow Spring was someone who knew how far to go; she looked over the twelve Kings, saying, "I want that one like black mud over there, the one with six arms, along with the fish-headed humanoid."
"You're referring to the Formless Mycelium, Haibara Mist Demon and Dagan Shennie."
Dagan Shennie was the only one related to fish among the twelve Kings, sitting alone on a piece of reef, his body grey and black. Clearly a fish, he had not a single scale on him and rather than being fish-like, he more closely resembled a loach.
In terms of size, Dagan Shennie was the smallest among them, but the murderous aura on him was something even Yellow Spring could clearly feel.
"Who do I kill?"
At the King-level, even Sea Monsters would develop intelligence but could only communicate simplistically.
They were too violent; once combat began, even the Deep Sea King had difficulty commanding them, could only let them do as they please, killing as many as they could.
"Follow this person by my side."
"Food?"
"Listen to her commands!"
After the Deep Sea King said that, Dagan Shennie then tilted his head: "Food that can't be eaten."
"Hey, hey, he won't bite his master, will he?"
Yellow Spring wasn't afraid of such a creature, but this was her first time seeing a Miracle Troop Type that could bite back at its master, truly an eye-opening experience.
"He won't."
Deep Sea King: "Dagan Shennie's ability is devouring. Every enemy he kills, or when he obtains blood and flesh knowledge from an enemy, he can momentarily burst forth with greater power."
"So, if you're willing, you could also feed him some of your hair or fingernails."
"And the other two?"
"Formless Mycelium, she's a special parasitic Sea Monster, her body like a lump of pitch-black sludge that can penetrate anything after splitting, entering comrades' bodies and forming mimic bodies to augment their power."
"A venom symbiote?"
Yellow Spring thought of this term, something Bailuo had seen in a film from his previous life: "Is it like that creature?"
Lastly, Haibara Mist Demon; this guy's appearance was considered extremely horrifying even among the many King Sea Monsters.
Haibara Mist Demon had six arms, which drifted through the air like kelp.
Its enormous head was hairless, just having a giant mouth that nearly covered three-quarters of its face, and it neither stood nor swam, but was affixed to the intangible air like a suction cup, staring directly at Yellow Spring below with a skull that had no eyes.
