Chapter 185: General Winter, Li Xue Shan Xianzhai (Vote for Recommendation)_2
```
"At least not until you've obtained Miracle Power," Grandpa Luwei shook his head, "then you'll be qualified to battle with him."
Miracle Power!
The other side is a Miracle Citizen, possessing Miracle Power?
"Grandpa, the person you're speaking of, it couldn't be...?"
"Yes."
Grandpa Luwei said, "He is none other than the city's regent guardian, General Winter, of the ancient city Xilu'en."
Count Thorn has four strong subordinates under him, named after the seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.
"General Winter..."
"The legendary guardian of Xilu'en."
They were not Miracle Citizens, so for the Lu Wei family, the Miracle was something of legends.
Not to mention the Master of Miracles, even a random Extraordinary Level Miracle Citizen would require them to fight with all their might just to have a hope of escaping from their clutches.
Yes, escaping, not defeating.
Miracle Troop Types, even at the Extraordinary Level, have the protection of laws, and such power is absolutely beyond what mortals can contend with.
Not to mention anything else, just the immunity to physical attacks could leave the Lu Wei family utterly powerless.
So, facing the blizzard, the group climbed up the great snowy mountain.
Grandpa Luwei had grown old; he ran out of strength halfway and had to let his grandson, Rakshasa, carry him up the mountain.
This was embarrassing, so when they were almost at the top, Grandpa Luwei insisted Rakshasa no longer carry him; he would rather die walking than lose face in front of his former comrades.
"You haven't changed a bit."
"Shua, shua!"
Blades drawn and the Cross Textured Spear waved, sweeping the snow around them, the Lu Wei family almost instantly, like protecting their master, closely shielded the old man behind them, their expressions solemn, even knowing the owner of the voice was the old man's friend, they still did not dare to let down their guard.
"You're still too green to draw swords against him."
Grandpa Luwei shook his head, saying, "Put them down. If he wanted to harm us, we would've been dead in that instant just now."
"Nonsense, when did I ever slaughter the innocent?"
In front of Ghost Princess stood a figure.
This man was tall, over two meters, with an extremely robust build.
He was an elder; by his looks, white-haired and bearded, his face though unwrinkled, the sorrow in his eyes made him appear somewhat weathered.
General Winter, the guardian of the ancient city Xilu'en, one of the four mighty warriors under Count Thorn.
Lixue Shanxianzhai!
"You've seen it all, huh."
"With age, one should admit their seniority," General Winter approached Grandpa Luwei: "Long time no see, eldest brother."
"You've aged as well."
However, instead of responding, Grandpa Luwei commented on the aged appearance of General Winter.
"Everyone ages."
"That's different," Grandpa Luwei; "You, as a Child of Miracle who has received Miracle Power, you age too?"
"I remember Tulip is older than you, but she still looks like a young girl."
"I've run into some troubles, worrisome matters."
After finishing his words, General Winter invited the Lu Wei family to his dwelling, a worn wooden hut built on the snowy mountain that looked to be at least thirty or forty years old.
"Crickle, crackle."
Inside the hut, a fire was burning, very warm, with orange light illuminating the whole room brightly, bringing a hint of warmth and a sense of security.
"Are you this old man's students? Or his children?"
"My grandsons and granddaughters."
Without formality, Grandpa Luwei sat down on the floor and even gestured for Ghost Princess to bring out the treasured spirits: "Care for a drink?"
"Thank you."
General Winter and Grandpa Luwei, not having seen each other for many years, felt nostalgic about the past: "Our thirteen members, since the teacher's private school disbanded, have gone their separate ways. It's been many years since we've seen each other."
"I'm just a mortal, you're a Child of Miracle, your news should be more informed than mine."
"How informed can it be?"
General Winter's voice was somewhat low, but he showed none of the arrogance of a Child of Miracle; the only thing he showed was the joy of having a friend come from afar.
"I've been here, nearly forty years, except for the occasional return to Thorn City," General Winter; "I haven't even gone to the Iron Eagle Fortress, where would I have gotten any news from."
"That should still be better than mine, right?"
"Do you know the whereabouts of few people?"
"Only of two," Grandpa Luwei; "What about you?"
"I know only of one, and you probably know this one too."
"The Eternal Warfronter?"
"Little Eleven," General Winter; "The little devil of the past now far surpasses you and me, a Legendary Warrior."
"Thirty years to achieve legend status."
Grandpa Luwei sipped his drink, remarking, "That's really impressive."
The Lu Wei family stood inside the hut, listening to the conversation between the two old men, feeling as though they were hearing stories from another world.
Although General Winter did not unleash any Miracle Power, everyone present knew of his strength.
Grandpa Luwei could converse with General Winter on equal terms because they were once brother disciples under the same teacher, and no matter how many years had gone by, that relationship would not change.
"If you are the regent of Xilu'en, why are you here?"
"There's nothing good about that kind of place."
General Winter had been appointed by Count Thorn to stay in Xilu'en, to guard against the forces of the Azure Seas and several Pirate Kings.
But since becoming the City Lord of the ancient city forty years ago, he had never once set foot in Xilu'en, not even a single step.
"It's a city full of sin," General Winter sighed, he picked up some firewood, tinkering with the campfire: "To guard it is a disgrace to me as a warrior."
"Then annihilate it!"
"Easy for you to say."
General Winter stated, "In this world, there's no reason for a vassal to kill the king's subjects."
