A Hero in a Demon School!!!!

Chapter 13: Shattering the Despair!

An Hour Before the Start of Festival Eve

"And that wraps up our preparations," Alice declared, wiping sweat from his forehead as he put the finishing touches on the fireworks launch pad. Nearby, Clara was meticulously adding the final touches to the exterior decorations.

"Fantastic work, team!" Izuku said, with a smile. He stood back to take in their efforts, a confident smile spreading across his face. "Everything's set. We'll be ready to light up the sky as soon as the festivities begin."

"Still..." Alice murmured, his gaze drifting over the cramped patch of ground their group had been assigned. It was painfully small compared to the sprawling plots other Battlers had secured. Whispers and chuckles from a few passing students still lingered in his ears, though none dared linger under the sharp glare from either him or Izuku.

"Yeah," Izuku admitted with a frown, crossing his arms. "We've got maybe a fifth of the space they do."

"It's no mystery why," Daki interjected, her voice edged with frustration as she leaned against the nearby railing. "Last year, our Battler didn't exactly impress anyone. And on top of that, our head—Kirio-sempai—is only ranked BETH. The second rank may sound decent, but in this hierarchy, it's barely scraping by. It's why our funding and position are… well, this." She gestured to their tiny lot.

"That is-" Izuku was about to say something when a sudden realization dawned on him. "Come to think of it, where's Kirio sempai?" he asked, scanning the crowd for any sign of his senior. "I haven't seen him in a while."

Alice and Daki exchanged glances, as they noticed a slight edge in Izuku's voice.

"I ran into him earlier," Daki offered after a moment. "He said he had some personal errands to take care of, but he's been missing since then."

Izuku's brows knit together. "I see..." His tone had shifted—still calm but with an undercurrent of unease that wasn't lost on the others.

Alice was about to ask him what was on his mind when Clara's sudden question interrupted him. "Hey! Where's the ammunition for our fireworks?" she asked.

"What?" Alice's eyes snapped to her, a sinking feeling twisting in his gut. "It should be right here. I checked it earlier!" He hurried to her side, scanning the ground frantically.

"Where could it have gone?" Daki asked, wringing her hands anxiously. "I'm certain I had placed the ammo together with the launch pad."

The team sprung into action, fanning out across the area in a frantic search for the missing ammo. They scoured every inch of the launch pad, double-checking every corner and crevice in the hopes of finding their precious cargo.

"We have to find it," Izuku muttered under his breath, his eyes scanning the ground for any sign of the missing fireworks. "There's no way we can do our firework show without it."

Suddenly Izuku's eyes widened as several pieces clicked together in his mind. "Guys..." he said urgently, getting everyone's attention. "We need to find Kirio."

Daki looked at him with confusion. "What are you talking about, Midoriya? We need to find the missing ammo."

"I know that," Izuku replied, his voice tinged with desperation. "But trust me, finding Kirio is just as important. I don't have time to explain, we need to find him now."

Alice wanted to argue that finding Ammo was much more important but the fanatic look in Izuku's eyes and the urgency in his voice convinced him to do what he was saying.

"Okay," Alice sighed. "Let's find Kirio senpai."

"Thank you," Izuku said gratefully. "Okay, let's split up. Daki-senpai and I will check the school. Alice and Clara, go and check the other faculties."

Everyone nodded and quickly dispersed to search for Kirio, the leader of their Battler.

******

Meanwhile, as Izuku and his friends searched for Kirio, he strolled leisurely across the school's top floor, his arms cradling a massive ball of ammo. "Phew...this thing's heavy," he muttered, wiping sweat from his forehead. Finally, he arrived in front of an ordinary-looking wall and paused. Kirio deftly located a hidden switch and activated it, causing the wall to slide away and reveal a secret room beyond.

As he entered the room, his gaze was drawn to the enormous window that offered a bird's-eye view of the courtyard where the festival was set to take place. The smell of freshly mowed grass filled his nostrils, and he peered down at the students bustling about in preparation for the event. A sadistic smile crept onto his face as he heard the distant sounds of music and laughter, knowing that everything was finally falling into place.

His heart pounded with excitement as he fiddled with the square-shaped pendant dangling on his neck. "Everything will end today!" he exclaimed with a crazed look in his eyes. "And I'll make it glorious. After all, this will be the last festival any of them will ever attend."

Unbeknownst to the students in the courtyard, Kirio watched them intently through the window of the hidden room. The magical concealment made the window appear as an ordinary wall to anyone outside, allowing him to observe without being detected. Meanwhile, the students went about their festival preparations, blissfully unaware of the impending danger lurking just out of sight.

After that, he strode towards the large machine in the room, which was none other than 'Gabu-chan,' the machine that Izuku had helped him fix and its soft glow indicated it had been charging for quite some time. With care, Kirio placed the massive ball of ammo on top of the machine.

As the machine hummed to life and began charging the ball, Kirio couldn't help but recall Baal's words. He walked back towards the window, gazing at the students below as he remembered what Baal had said.

"You are not a mistake, Kirio," Baal had said with a wicked grin. "On the contrary, looking at you reminds me of the true essence of the demons. That's why I will help you prepare the stage for you to fulfill your dream... your wicked, twisted ambition."

"That's right senpai, it's time to end... no this is not the end," Kirio thought as he clutched his square-shaped pendant in his hands, "it's the beginning..." he said and destroyed the pendent releasing a huge amount of magic from within and engulfed the entire school in the barriers courtesy of his bloodline magic.

With a sinister smile on his face, Kirio focused his attention on manipulating the barriers he had erected around the school. "Now all I have to do is guide them to the courtyard, where they will meet their demise," he muttered to himself, with sadistic lust in his eyes.

******

"What the hell!?" Izuku cursed as he slammed into an invisible barrier that had materialized out of nowhere. He quickly rose to his feet and examined the barrier. "This looks familiar," he muttered as he inspected the barrier more closely.

"I don't think, that's not the only barrier," Daki remarked as she placed her hand on another invisible barrier that had appeared behind them.

As they were wondering what was going on they heard a group of students yelling, "What is going on dude!? There are invisible barriers all around the school!" outside the window.

Izuku rushed to the window and peered outside. Several students were struggling to navigate through the maze-like barriers leading to the courtyard. "This can't be good," Izuku thought as he tensed up, realizing that something terrible was happening.

"We have to find Kirio quickly, Daki-senpai," Izuku said, turning to his senior. "I have a bad feeling about this."

Daki nodded at him. By now even she had realized who these barriers possibly belonged to. "Well then let's get going," she said, conjuring ribbons with beautiful flower patterns from her body and smashing the barrier to pieces.

As she turned to check on Izuku, she noticed him staring at her with wide eyes. "What's wrong?" she asked, wondering why he was looking at her like that.

"I knew your ribbons were powerful, but I didn't realize they were this strong," Izuku remarked, impressed by Daki's abilities.

"Hehe~, my ribbons may look delicate, but they can pack quite a punch when I want them to," Daki replied, sporting a proud expression on her face.

"Well, we can discuss my ribbons later. Right now, we need to..." Daki started to say, but her attention was drawn back to the shattered barrier. To her surprise, she saw that it had somehow repaired itself.

"It repaired itself," Daki said, her amazement clear in her voice. "This is strange. For the barrier to regenerate, Kirio-senpai would need to use far more magic than a normal student could manage—let alone someone with his constitution."

"Another bad sign," Izuku muttered under his breath. He then turned to Daki and said, "Well even if these barriers regenerate, we can generate enough window to get through," Izuku said and delivered a powerful kick to the barrier with 50% One for All creating a sizable opening for them to pass through.

Daki nodded and followed Izuku through the opening. As they made their way through the school, a sinking feeling began to settle in her heart. She couldn't believe that Kirio, the person she had looked up to and who had encouraged her to create things for less fortunate demons, was actually a scumbag who had used her for some sinister plan. The realization brought forth a wave of unrestrained anger that made it difficult for her to restrain her ribbons from attacking anything other than the barriers.

As they continued their search, they encountered several more barriers, but with Izuku and Daki working together, they were able to break through them with ease. Eventually, they found themselves on the upper floor of the school where they stood in the middle of a hallway that branched off into three different corridors.

"This isn't working," Daki said with frustration evident in her voice, "how are we supposed to pinpoint Kirio's exact location in this huge school?"

Daki's question hung in the air as Izuku's mind raced, trying to come up with a solution to their problem.

'Izuku, your ring,' Nana interjected, getting Izuku's attention.

'What about my rin-' suddenly he noticed the ring in his hand had a faint glow on it.

'I think the ring is trying to tell you something,' she said.

'Really? You think so?' Izuku asked, skeptically.

'Don't you remember how you met Kirio the first time around?' Nana reminded him. 'It was your ring that dragged you to him.'

Izuku paused for a moment, deep in thought. Suddenly, an idea struck him. "Daki-senpai, please wait here for a moment," he said, before striding purposefully towards one of the corridor entrances while his eyes fixed on the ring in his hand.

Approaching the first entrance, he examined the ring intently but there was no change. He tried the next entrance, but again, the ring remained the same. It was only when he reached the third entrance that the ring glowed slightly brighter. "This way!" he exclaimed, pointing excitedly toward the direction of the entrance.

"Are you sure?" Daki asked, sounding hesitant.

Izuku nodded resolutely. "Yes," he repeated firmly.

"Very well, let's go," Daki agreed, and they resumed their search, now with the aid of the magical ring to guide them.

As they followed the guidance of the ring, they noticed that the barriers they encountered became more frequent and much stronger than before. So much so that at some point Daki and Izuku had started combining their strength to break through these barriers but this only confirmed their suspicion that they were headed in the right direction.

Eventually, they found themselves in front of a plain-looking wall on the topmost floor of the school.

Daki surveyed the wall with her ribbons. "So this is the place?" she asked.

Izuku glanced at the ring in his hand, which was glowing intensely. "Seems like it," he confirmed with a nod.

"Ok then," Daki said, preparing her ribbons.

"Wait—" Izuku began, but before he could finish his sentence, Daki charged at the wall with her ribbons, bringing down a section of the wall along with the hidden door behind it.

"Do you even know what subtlety is?" Izuku asked.

"Regardless," Daki replied dismissively, pointing to Kirio who looked mildly surprised by their arrival, "we found what we were looking for."

Izuku nodded in agreement, his knuckles cracking as he strode confidently into the room to confront Kirio. "Normally, I'd be curious about why the school has a hidden room tucked behind a random wall," he muttered under his breath, "but right now, there's something much more important to deal with." His glare locked onto the boy before him. "Amy Kirio, what the hell is going on here?"

******

"Hmm, I wonder what this wall is!" Robin said as he poked the invisible wall in front of him. Right now the teachers at Babyls were frantically running around the school, attempting to identify who was responsible for the barriers that had encircled the building. The situation was tense, as they also had to keep the students calm and prevent panic from spreading throughout the school.

Robin halted his poking when he heard a voice behind him. He turned around, only to see Kalego standing behind him. "Hey newbie, move aside," he commanded. Kalego strode forward and placed his hand on the barrier. "Cerberus Brute," he intoned. In an instant, a massive three-headed dog made of yellow crackling energy appeared and obliterated the barrier before them.

Robin's eyes gleamed with wonder as he exclaimed, "Wow! Amazing!" However, his amazement quickly turned to shock as he observed the destroyed barrier rapidly regenerating itself. "Ehh!!! It repaired itself!" Robin exclaimed in disbelief.

'What is this... how much magic has to be incorporated to create something like this...?' Kalego pondered to himself. Suddenly, he turned to Robin and commanded, "We're leaving, newbie."

"Eh?" Robin tilted their head in confusion.

"Don't ask questions, just follow me," Kalego ordered as he headed towards the staircase in the faculty building. With a powerful spell, he destroyed the barrier obstructing their path and started to climb the stairs. Robin followed closely behind. A few minutes later, they emerged onto the terrace of the faculty building.

Kalego retrieved a pen and paper from his pocket and scribbled something on it. He then handed the note to Robin and said, "Newbie, make sure this note reaches the principal."

"Got it!" Robin replied with a salute as Kalego departed the terrace, leaving Robin behind.

"Alright, let's do this!" Robin declared, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. With focused intent, he conjured a fiery bow in the shape of a golden-yellow phoenix and aimed it at the sky. Taking careful aim, he released an arrow with Kalego's note attached to it.

As the arrow approached the barrier, it smoothly passed through it without breaking or shattering it. This was possible thanks to Robin's bloodline magic.

Meanwhile, as Kalego descended the stairs and entered the courtyard, he caught sight of Morax sensei sprinting towards him with a file clutched tightly in her hand.

"Kalego sensei, I found the possible suspect behind the incident," Morax said while panting as she handed the file to him.

"Thank you for your efforts," Kalego acknowledged, accepting the file from Morax's hand. "What's the situation outside?"

"Evacuation is going smoothly. As of now, around 80% of the students have assembled at the central courtyard," Morax reported. "However, we've also discovered that all the school's entrances have been blocked off."

"I see..." Kalego murmured, deep in thought. '80%...? That's too fast... it's as if evacuating to the central courtyard was a prerequisite for some plan.'

Kalego opened the file and skimmed through the details of the suspected student. Then he placed a finger on the side of his forehead, activating a spell that connected him to all the teachers. "Listen up," he instructed. "We need to find Amy Kirio. He's our prime suspect with the 'Barrier' ability. I want him restrained as soon as he's located. All teachers are to be on the lookout, except for those managing the students in the courtyard."

"Yes!" came the unanimous reply from the teachers.

Kalego cut off the spell and turned to Morax. "Let's move quickly. Time is of the essence."

******

"Heya! Welcome, my dear juniors! I must commend you on making it here." Kirio greeted Izuku and Daki with an exaggerated flourish.

Izuku's tone was curt as he cut him off. "Cut the crap, Kirio. Do you have our fireworks or not?"

"I certainly do," Kirio replied, grinning. "Gabu-chan is taking good care of them as we speak." He gestured toward a large machine in the corner of the room, which was charging an ammo ball and causing it to glow brightly.

"What's that thing for?" Daki asked, eyeing the machine warily. "And why is it glowing like that?"

Kirio's smile widened, but there was a glint of malice in his eyes. "Oh, nothing much, really," he said with a friendly tone. "I'm just going to use it to blow up the school." Izuku and Daki stared at him in shock, their eyes widening in disbelief.

"Why?" Daki's voice wavered. "Why would you do that?"

Kirio tiptoed around the room, a sly grin on his face. "Hmm... interesting question," he said. "But before I answer that, let me tell you a little story about when I was born."

'Does he really have to?' Izuku heard Nana groan inside his head, and he couldn't help but feel the same way. Did Kirio really have to drag this out?

And so Kirio started narrating his story with a voice that was strangely happy and almost creepy. He began by revealing that he was born into one of the most prominent households in the demon world, a family that had a reputation for exceptional magic power capacity. However, Kirio's own magic power was disappointingly low, and from the moment he entered the world, he was deemed a disgrace by his family. Even his own mother shunned and neglected him, unable to bear the shame of having a weak child.

Kirio then walked towards the window and gazed out at the students who had gathered in the courtyard. Seeing an opportunity, Izuku quietly snuck past him and made his way over to Gabu-chan. He began examining the machine, hoping to find a way to turn it off.

Meanwhile, Kirio continued his story, explaining how his teachers and fellow students had discriminated against him due to his low magic power. However, there was one girl who had smiled at him, despite his status. She wasn't good at academics either, so they spent a lot of time together. She even allowed him to touch the hairpin that was a memento from her grandmother, something she considered as a lucky charm.

One day, a group of boys in their class took their bullying too far. During an argument, one of the bullies snatched the girl's hairpin and threw it into the river. Kirio tried to catch it with his barrier and managed to retrieve it, giving the girl a glimmer of hope. However, in a moment of lost concentration, the barrier broke and the hairpin fell into the valley. The incident deeply affected the girl, ultimately leading to her decision to quit the school soon after.

"But that day, I realized something," Kirio said as he clutched his heart his voice heavy with emotion. "That day, when I saw that look on her face... the expression of despair. I can't erase that from my mind. Every time I see that expression, all I can think of is..." His body shook as he stared at the ground, lost in thought.

"Senpai..." Daki watched him with empathy and was about to place a comforting hand on his shoulder, but Kirio suddenly turned around, a sickening expression twisting his face.

"I want to see that expression again," Kirio said, his voice low and filled with disturbing desire. Daki recoiled in disgust, falling to the ground, feeling repulsed by the lustful happiness on Kirio's face.

"It was a mysterious feeling, you know," Kirio continued, his voice filled with a mysterious intensity. "Every time someone looked at me with an expression of disappointment, my chest would tighten up. But thanks to that girl, I realized what that emotion was. When I saw her look of despair... I felt such thrilling ecstasy." Kirio started panting while slowly moving towards Daki. "And that's when I realized that someone else's despair is my reason to live."

Daki felt a chill run down her spine as Kirio stood over her, a sickening grin on his face. She scrambled to her feet, feeling repulsed and frightened by Kirio's words and actions. "You're making a nice face, Daki-san," he said, his voice laced with twisted amusement.

"And there is a reason why I want to destroy this school," Kirio continued going back to his normal demeanor. "You see when I first started going here, senpai explained to me how ranks represent the order of the demon world, and that's terrible you know," he frowned. "Because of those ranks, everyone will submit to those with higher ranks but if I get rid of those ranks..." once again an unsettling smile settled on his face, "demon world will certainly descend into chao-"

"Finally!" Izuku's voice boomed through the room, grabbing Kirio and Daki's attention. They turned to look at him and were surprised to see that he had already dismantled all the wires from the machine. Then, Izuku turned towards Kirio and quipped, "Oh, you're done already? I was expecting you to explain your evil master plan next."

'Izuku... don't push your luck,' Nana scolded him.

'Can you blame me?' Izuku retorted. 'Villains always follow up their sob stories with an explanation of their evil master plan.'

"Midoriya..." interrupted Daki, unknowingly cutting through Nana and Izuku's bickering. "Look behind you."

"What-" started Izuku, before turning around and realizing that despite having shut off the machine, the ammo ball on top of it was still fiercely glowing and shining in their faces.

Daki rushed towards the machine, trying to figure out what was going on with the ammo ball.

Suddenly, Kirio burst into laughter. "Ah! I forgot to tell you that the ball finished charging even before you got here," he said gleefully. "Now, let me tell you what happens next."

'There it is,' Izuku thought with a strained smile.

'Izuku...' Nana sighed in exasperation.

"I am going to destroy this school with fireworks that will create a scene both beautiful and magnificent," Kirio declared with a smirk. "Midoriya-san, Daki-san, you both have created something truly amazing. Can you imagine the faces of parents when they see the mangled, charred, and disassembled bodies of their wailing children?" He flashed a wicked and disturbing smile. "And I won't be alone in enjoying that beautiful scene, you guys will be here with me to witness that mad banquet of despair. I-"

"Are you done?" Izuku asked with a deadpan expression on his face.

"Huh?" Kirio was caught off guard by the unexpected reaction.

"Geez! That monologue would have been more bearable if you weren't drooling like a moron this entire time," Izuku said in a disappointed tone, as he took the charged ammo ball from Daki's hands.

"Wait! Hold on a second! Can't you hear me?" Kirio screamed as his eyes gleamed with a manic fervor as he continued, "I'm going to explode this school! Everything and everyone that's important to you will disappear! Even their silhouette will be gone! And it's all because of the thing you created!"

On the other hand, Izuku just ignored him and started walking towards the window while still holding the charged ammo ball in his hand.

"Why!?" Kirio screamed, his voice rising to a fever pitch as he demanded. "You have to face such a terrible thing, so why don't you despair!?"

"I'm not going to despair," Izuku said firmly, without breaking his stride. He glanced over his shoulder at Kirio and smirked at him. "That's not what heroes do. A hero's job is to bring hope no matter how bleak the situation is. Besides, giving up has never been my strong suit."

Kirio's mind raced as he watched Izuku walking towards the window. 'I see...so this is how it is,' he thought to himself. 'The boy who wants to bring hope to everyone...he is my natural enemy.'

Kirio shook his head in disbelief as he listened to Izuku's words. "While I appreciate your optimism," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "there is nothing you can do to stop the fireworks from exploding at the same time as the opening bell." He paused for effect, his eyes glinting with malice. "And just so you know, the barrier surrounding the school is the most solid type which is used to combat explosions. So if you're thinking of throwing it out of the school, it won't work either," he finished, his cruel smile sending shivers down Daki's spine.

The sound of an announcement suddenly echoed throughout the entire school. "All right, everyone," the voice boomed. "Let's start the countdown to the Party Eve."

Daki's face went pale as she heard the announcement, her eyes widening in panic. "Fuck!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling with fear. "It's already here! Midoriya, what are we going to do?"

But before Izuku could respond, Kirio interjected with a sinister smile. "Ah, that face you're making, Daki-san," he taunted. "That desperation on your face... how thrilling."

"Shut up, creep," Daki's disgust was evident in her voice as she snapped at him. "Midoriya, how are we--"

"Relax, Daki-senpai," Izuku interrupted with a reassuring smile. "I got this."

10

Izuku removed his coat as he burst through the window and soared outside, clutching the raging ammo ball tightly in his hand.

9

Daki's eyes filled with worry as she looked at Izuku. "Midoriya," she asked, "what exactly are you planning to do?"

8

'Izuku, are you sure about this?' Nana's concerned voice echoed in his mind.

'Don't worry, Nana,' Izuku reassured her, his voice calm and steady. 'I know what I'm doing.'

7

As Izuku floated in the air, he took a deep breath and felt the wind rush past him. 'It's been a long time since I've pulled a stunt like this,' he smiled to himself as the memories flooded his mind, recalling the first time he had saved a certain brunette with his power.

6

Izuku stretched his arm back, the raging ammo ball still firmly clutched in his hand, and focused his gaze on the sky in front of him.

5

'One for All,' Izuku focused all of his power into his outstretched arm, causing it to glow with intensity.

4

'100%' the right-hand sleeve of Izuku's turtleneck exploded, as he channeled the full power of One for All through his outstretched arm.

3

"Smash!!!!!" he yelled and hurled the ball, creating a sonic boom that shattered the windows around him.

2

The ball soared through the sky at breakneck speed, colliding with a barrier. After a few seconds of struggle, the barrier cracked with a resounding crack and the ball shot upward into the night sky.

1

Despite colliding with the barrier, the ball's speed did not decrease at all. It continued its upward trajectory until it reached the Mesosphere, and then...

0

The ball exploded into a stunning display of colors, illuminating the sky in a brilliant fireworks show. Its brightness and intensity were so overwhelming that it could be seen from miles away, and the echoing sound reverberated throughout the surrounding area.

Izuku flew back into the room while clutching his heavily damaged right arm which had turned brown and purple from the damage that came with using 100 % of his power through a single limb.

Daki rushed over to Izuku and pulled him into a tight embrace without saying a word. "That was so scary," she said in a trembling voice. "I can't even imagine what could have happened to us, especially considering how clearly visible the blast was even at that height in the sky."

"It's okay, Daki-senpai," Izuku said with a grimace, "I know it must have been quite overwhelming for you, but can you please let go of me? Your hug is putting pressure on my injured arm."

Daki quickly released her hold on Izuku and looked at his injured arm with wide eyes. "I'm sorry! I didn't realize. Let me take a look at your arm," she said, concerned.

"It's okay, Daki-senpai, it's not that bad," Izuku said with a small smile.

"Not that bad?" Daki glared at him as she quickly took out a long strand of her ribbon and started wrapping it around his hand. "Your hand looks like it was crushed under a mountain and a half!"

Meanwhile, Kirio walked towards the window, a look of disbelief in his eyes. "How... how did this happen?" he muttered to himself. He slammed his fist on the wall in frustration, then looked up and saw the debris of the fireworks getting burned up in the atmosphere, creating a different kind of spectacle altogether.

As the realization that his years of planning had gone to ruin started sinking in, Kirio felt a sudden pressure on his body. He looked down to see Daki's ribbons wrapping tightly around him, lifting him into the air and completely restraining him.

Daki stood before Kirio, her eyes burning with hatred. "How dare you!" she said in a low, threatening voice. "You took advantage of me and my dreams! You used my ambition as a mere plaything for your stupid plan!" Her ribbons snaked up towards Kirio's throat, tightening and squeezing the life out of him. "I trusted you," she continued, her voice starting to break as tears welled up in her eyes. "I believed in you when you said you saw real talent in me... when you told me you wanted to create magic tools for less fortunate demons...when..." The pressure on Kirio's throat increased, cutting off his air supply. But then...

Daki felt a hand land on her shoulder, and when she looked to her side, she saw Izuku gazing at her with a calm and understanding expression. "Daki-senpai, let him go," he said.

"But..."

"Is he really worth losing your spot in the school?" Izuku reasoned. "Please, Daki-senpai. I'd rather not lose two seniors on the same day, you know."

Daki debated with herself for a few seconds before finally releasing Kirio. He slammed onto the ground, desperately gasping for air. Although she had removed her ribbons from his throat, his body remained restrained by them.

Izuku let out a sigh and leaned against the edge of the open window. "Ah, what a tiring evening," he said.

"Yeah, thanks to a certain someone," she spat out, her voice tinged with bitterness. Daki wiped her eyes, but her glare remained fixed on Kirio, who lay on the ground without making any more scenes.

"But well... we did manage to stop the bomb from exploding the school and still presented a beautiful fireworks show to everyone," Izuku said, flashing her a smile.

Daki's expression softened slightly. "Yeah, you're right. It was a success, after all," she said, finally turning away from Kirio and joining Izuku by the window.

Izuku nodded in agreement and added, "I just hope that everyone enjoyed it."

"Indeed they did," a third voice chimed in from outside the window, causing Izuku and Daki to whip their heads around to see Sullivan flying outside. "Your project was quite a treat not only for the students but also for the surrounding residents," he added with a smile.

"Grandpa!!!" Izuku exclaimed. He was genuinely relieved by seeing his grandpa there, "I am so glad-"

But before he could say anything else, footsteps sounded in the hallway, and a moment later, a group of teachers led by Kalego entered the room.

"Midoriya?" Kalego asked, scanning the scene and noticing Izuku standing near a restrained Kirio. "What is going on here?"

Izuku and Daki exchanged a tired glance before launching into an explanation of the events that had led them to that moment.

To be continued...
