Well, the protective shield of your mother's seemed to be gaining strength after the ritual," Healer Hopkins was the first to respond.

"It is not uncommon for a person's body to both feel better and heal better in general when a curse is removed because part of your magic is no longer countering the effects of the curse," Healer Stanhope added. "We talked about that a little yesterday as possible side effects to removing the curse remnants."

"I remember that," Harry noted thinking back to the conversations from yesterday. "You have my permission to run the diagnostics."

"Everything looked clear yesterday, but I want to confirm that, so I will be casting a number of spells to confirm that again," Healer Hopkins explained before drawing his wand and beginning to run the spells. Harry watched the spell movements curiously, realizing that some seemed the same as the day before when Healer Hopkins examined him in his office. The healer smiled widely as he completed his work. "Everything looks exactly as it should. No sign at all of any remnants of the horcrux. And your mother's shield is truly a work of art. It is stronger today than yesterday, and I would feel safe in saying it will undoubtedly provide you with at least some protection against illness and even spells that would cause you harm," he informed them the note of reverence back in his voice.

"It truly is a wonderful shield. Your mother was a skilled and talented witch to have fashioned such a protection, and no doubt she loved you very much to seal it in such a way to stay with you," Healer Stanhope agreed with the earlier sentiments. Harry felt his eyes go teary at their words about his mother, and found he did not know what to say.

"Thank you both for helping us," Septima stated for them both understanding that Harry was a bit overwhelmed at the situation. For someone who had no real memories of a parent who loved them, being told by others that his mother had left him with a lasting protection that spoke of that love must be nearly unthinkable.

"It was my pleasure," Healer Hopkins assured them. "Curses are my specialty, and being able to help you with that particular curse scar, well, let's just say I am honored, Mr. Potter."

"And I am happy to see that you are doing so well," Healer Stanhope added with a smile.

"And I must say, you are one of the bravest people I know." A blush crept across Harry's cheeks as he lowered his head and eyes. He still wasn't used to positive attention or compliments, even though Septima often complimented him on things.

"Well, I am sure you want to be getting home soon, although Healer Clawtear wanted to check you over once more, too. Please floo call me immediately if you have any problems or difficulties, and certainly don't forget that I would love to see your mother's notes regarding that shield if you ever find them."

"I'll remember, thank you, Healer Hopkins," Harry assured him finding his voice again.

"I would like an occasional update on how you are doing," Healer Stanhope revealed, "and if you ever think of becoming a healer or would like to know more about healing in general first, let me know."

"Oh, excellent idea, Araminda," Healer Hopkins chimed in at her statement, "your mother's skill in potions and charms is undisputed, and anyone capable of that shield of yours, well, I am certain that if you inherited even half of that talent, you would be a credit to our profession." Once again, Harry did not know what to say. For as long as he could remember, no one had ever suggested that he was talented or smart, or that he could become a doctor, or the wizarding equivalent, a healer.

"And there is Healer Clawtear," Healer Stanhope commented after several moments of silence. "Enjoy the rest of your summer, and your time at Hogwarts, Harry. There is plenty of time to think of the future, and what you may want to do once you pass your NEWTS."

As the goblin healer Clawtear approached, Harry watched as the others backed away from him. He was a little surprised that Healer Hopkins and Stanhope stayed as they had already mentioned leaving, but then his focus shifted back to Healer Clawtear. The goblins seldom wasted time explaining things, and the goblin healer had already started casting her own diagnostic spells. Harry waited patiently for the all clear from the goblin healer.

"You may leave now," Healer Clawtear informed him and then turned to leave again. Harry needed no further encouragement as he slid off the bed happy that he was basically dressed even if it was in pajamas. He slipped on his shoes, and noted a robe draped across the lower portion of the bed. Septima laughed at his exuberance as he tugged on his robe.

"Let's go .....
