Chapter 63 - Mrs. Wealthy Takes Action, Acquiring the Knight's Drive!
Roidmudes, these kinds of creatures, are extremely rare.
So, very few people in the outside world are aware of their existence, let alone their Heavy Acceleration ability.
Tian Mi and Li Ling’er experienced the Heavy Acceleration ability for the first time, finding the unique sensations it brought quite fascinating.
The others who came with Bai Tian were shocked as they watched Qing Mu.
Qing Mu’s abilities exceeded their wildest imaginations.
Even Bai Tian, who possessed a DriveMach Driver from a future era, wasn’t a match for Qing Mu.
And even if he couldn’t win, that would have been acceptable.
However, Qing Mu went a step further and stole Bai Tian’s power, using it right in front of Bai Tian, his original owner.
It was almost as if he left no room for mercy.
It was beyond reason, completely out of bounds.
Could a person really do such a thing?
Qing Mu approached Tian Mi and Li Ling’er, explaining, “This is called Heavy Acceleration. It’s an ability developed by humans based on the Roidmudes, these creatures. Once under the control of Heavy Acceleration, the body’s movements become sluggish, just as you saw earlier. It’s quite an unscrupulous ability. Even Masked Riders would find it challenging to defeat opponents with Heavy Acceleration abilities without the appropriate countermeasures.”
“Can we learn it? We’re Masked Riders too! Why do all of you have these fancy and peculiar abilities, and we have none, just plain and ordinary? It’s not fair,” Tian Mi said with hopeful eyes.
The power of Agito is at least referred to as the bloodline of gods.
It’s astonishing that humans haven’t developed a Rider system as impressive as that.
Tian Mi felt a bit disappointed about her own divine bloodline.
Even with a godly heritage, having no special abilities seemed inadequate.
“Give up on that. You won’t be able to learn this ability. However…” Qing Mu paused at this point.
Tian Mi’s expression turned disappointed upon hearing Qing Mu’s statement that they couldn’t learn these special abilities.
Li Ling’er was the same.
Although she didn’t say it aloud, she was equally intrigued by the unique Heavy Acceleration ability.
Who could resist having such a crowd-control power?
Seeing the two girls’ downcast expressions, Qing Mu smiled and continued, “However, if you want to possess these kinds of special abilities, I can help you.”
“You can help us? How?” both girls asked simultaneously.
But Qing Mu was keeping something to himself at this moment. “Don’t ask right now. You’ll find out later.”
“Why?” Tian Mi didn’t quite understand why Qing Mu wouldn’t explain now.
Li Ling’er, however, was more perceptive and guessed the reason. She lightly nudged Tian Mi with her elbow and signaled with her eyes.
Tian Mi understood without a word.
Bai Tian and the others stood nearby.
Some things were better left unknown to these outsiders.
Qing Mu reverted from his transformation and turned to look at Bai Tian and the others. “Well, it seems like you don’t really need my assistance anymore. So, that’s that. I’ll leave everything here to you. You can handle things as you see fit. I don’t care. I’m out.”
“Wait!” Bai Tian called out to Qing Mu.
Qing Mu slightly turned his head, casting a sidelong glance at Bai Tian. “What? Is there something else?”
Bai Tian retrieved the signal motorcycle from his Mach Driver and reverted from his transformation.
He looked rather worse for wear, with some bloodstains on him.
Although Qing Mu had held back earlier, the power of the Muteki Gamer form was still overwhelming, causing significant injuries to Bai Tian.
Bai Tian now spoke with a hint of effort in his voice.
“I apologize for the misunderstanding earlier. I was wrong to doubt you. Your strength is impressive, and I shouldn’t have questioned it.”
After saying this, Bai Tian bowed deeply to Qing Mu.
Though he was usually arrogant and full of himself, he wasn’t foolish.
Qing Mu’s strength was truly terrifying.
There was nothing to gain from antagonizing Qing Mu further.
By apologizing sincerely and gaining Qing Mu’s forgiveness, Bai Tian hoped to avoid future troubles.
In simple terms, Qing Mu had won him over.
Qing Mu had conquered Bai Tian with his strength, making Bai Tian abandon his arrogance.
Seeing Bai Tian’s sincere attitude, Qing Mu was quite satisfied. “If you had been like this from the beginning, it could have avoided all the conflict. Well, I’m leaving now. As long as you don’t come looking for trouble with me in the future, I won’t bother you.”
“Hmph,” Tian Mi still couldn’t change her opinion of Bai Tian for the time being and couldn’t help but snort.
It seemed like she was mocking Bai Tian for his overestimation of himself.
How could you dare to provoke Qing Mu?
He’s a heavyweight capable of fighting gods.
There were very few people in the world who could afford to provoke him.
Qing Mu, Li Ling’er, and Tian Mi left the warehouse entirely in Bai Tian’s hands.
As for what Bai Tian and the others would handle and how they would report to their superiors, Qing Mu couldn’t care less.
After all, with the five billion they had earned from selling the belts, Qing Mu was no longer very interested in such trivial gains.
Hmm.
He was not interested in money.
After Qing Mu left, Bai Tian couldn’t hold back the frustration he had been suppressing. He let it all out, collapsing to the ground.
“I will definitely gain even greater power, defeat Qing Mu, and repay him for today’s humiliation!”
Although Bai Tian had been verbally subdued by Qing Mu, he was not yet defeated in his heart.
If there’s a chance to obtain a more powerful transformation tool and gain greater strength, he will still come looking for Qing Mu.
Just like those Heisei era Riders.
They either ended up being defeated or were on the path to defeat.
Even if he’s battered and bruised, he will continue seeking defeat.
Defeat brings joy, and defeat fosters growth.
Not accepting defeat would be a disgrace to the Mach Driver he possesses.
He is a relentless inheritor of the will to seek defeat from those Heisei era Riders.
……..
As they stepped outside, Tian Mi suddenly had an idea. “By the way, Qing Mu, I forgot to ask you earlier. That person from before, if you were to use your transformation’s special ability, what could you turn him into?”
The transformation special ability Tian Mi was referring to was the Ultimate Form Ride.
Qing Mu had explained to them that each Kamen Rider’s Ultimate Form Ride could transform into something unique.
After a moment of thought, Qing Mu replied, “For him, there’s a high probability he’d turn into a motorcycle. If it were Drive, it might become a sports car.”
Except for the Riders from the Showa era and Kamen Rider W, Qing Mu wasn’t entirely sure about the Ultimate Form Rides of other Kamen Riders. That’s because his Ultimate Form Ride card was quite special.
Over the years, he had been using the same Ultimate Form Ride card, which would transform into the Ultimate Form Ride of different Riders depending on the target. This special Ultimate Form Ride card had come along with Decade Drive when Qing Mu acquired it and was like an ace in the hole handed down to him by his father, Qin Yu.
It was just like the invisibility card, an absolute lifesaver for Qing Mu.
A bit further down the road, Tian Mi remembered something Qing Mu had mentioned earlier and asked, “You said we could have these special abilities too, right? Now that there’s no one around, can you tell us how we can obtain these special abilities? Is it through rigorous training, or is there another method?”
Qing Mu replied casually, “It’s quite simple. You don’t need to AlteRing transform; instead, use the Kamen Rider Drives for transformation. If you want to use a specific ability, just use the corresponding Drive for that Rider. It’s that simple, isn’t it?”
“Um, it seems to make sense, but it’s a bit different from what I had imagined,” Tian Mi scratched her head.
She had been thinking about using the unique abilities of other Kamen Riders while transformed as Kamen Rider Agito. However, Qing Mu’s explanation did have its logic, and she couldn’t really argue against it.
The most straightforward and simple way to obtain a particular ability was indeed to use the corresponding Kamen Rider Drive.
Having more Rider Drives was the key to it all.
That’s how it was.
Li Ling’er had the most say in this matter. “Qing Mu, is it possible to buy these Drives with money? If it’s possible, I can certainly pay to get some.”
Li Ling’er’s father, Li Mingwei, was among the top ten on the wealth rankings of Dragon Country. With her father’s influence, Qing Mu believed it shouldn’t be too difficult to obtain a batch of Rider Drives from the Dragon Country authorities, although he couldn’t guarantee their quality.
Qing Mu stroked his chin. “Buying should be possible if you can offer a high enough price. They would likely be willing to sell. If you want to buy, I can help you make the arrangements and get in touch with Yancheng Defense Base. However, if your father has better connections, that would be ideal. Yancheng Defense Base’s strength is not exceptionally high within Dragon Country, and the Rider Drives you obtain from there might not meet your expectations.”
Although Qing Mu wasn’t very familiar with the situations at different defense bases in Dragon Country, he could gather from Lin Qianqian’s previous remarks that Yancheng Defense Base was of average strength or slightly above, but there were likely stronger defense bases beyond it. Those with more resources and free Rider Drives might be willing to sell better items.
“That’s a good idea. I’ll discuss it with my dad and see if he can use his connections,” Li Ling’er agreed. Then, she had another thought. “Qing Mu, I wanted to ask, since I can transform into Kamen Rider Agito, theoretically, my dad should be able to transform into Kamen Rider Agito too, right? After all, my bloodline comes from him.”
“That’s not necessarily the case,” Qing Mu shook his head.
“Not necessarily? What do you mean by ‘not necessarily’? Didn’t you say that having the bloodline of gods gives a chance for awakening and transformation? It can’t be that my dad isn’t really my dad, can it?” Li Ling’er almost thought Qing Mu knew some family secret even she wasn’t aware of.
If that were true, it would be a melodramatic twist.
Qing Mu quickly clarified, “No, what I meant is that we don’t know for sure whether your White God bloodline comes from your father or mother. So, I can’t be certain if your father has the qualifications to transform into Agito, but it’s worth a try.”
“I thought we were about to uncover a family mystery,” Tian Mi chimed in from the sidelines.
Li Ling’er was already accustomed to her best friend’s big mouth and chose to ignore the comment, pretending she hadn’t heard it.
“Just let my parents know. I used to keep this secret from them because I was afraid they’d worry, but now that they know the truth, they can rest assured. Our Li family is quite blessed, aren’t we?”
“Indeed,” Qing Mu nodded, not adding much to the conversation.
In a world where so many monsters roamed, it was reassuring to have a powerful family heritage.
The more people who can awaken as Kamen Rider Agito, the better,” Li Ling’er said, “I’ll talk to my parents and my brother later. Maybe our family can have a few more Kamen Riders. That would be amazing!”
Tian Mi was lost in some fantasy, her smile growing brighter by the moment.
They originally had afternoon classes, but Qing Mu was in a hurry to find Si Mu, so he called the counselor and got permission to skip class. Li Ling’er and Tian Mi, now not treating classes as a priority, decided to take the day off to hang out with Qing Mu.
The counselor knew Li Ling’er’s status and didn’t dare to refuse her. She approved the leave without even asking for a reason. After all, Li Ling’er didn’t seem like someone who cared about a mere graduation certificate. With the Li family’s wealth, she could easily donate a whole building to Yancheng University if she wanted, and who needed certificates then? If Li Ling’er said she wanted a Ph.D. certificate, the university president might personally oversee her thesis defense.
The three of them arrived at Mokuya Restaurant. It was still mealtime, and the restaurant was bustling with customers.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Qing Mu, Li Ling’er, and Tian Mi had a meal and waited for Si Mu.
It was past two o’clock when most of the restaurant’s customers had left.
Si Mu finally had some time to step away from the kitchen and meet with Qing Mu. He was a bit surprised by Qing Mu’s early arrival. “Why are you here so early? I was planning to come find you after your classes.”
Li Ling’er and Tian Mi stayed silent, serving as spectators.
Qing Mu raised his teacup, took a sip of tea to moisten his throat, and then calmly said, “Do you know that someone just impersonated you and came to the school to find me? They even lured me and my friends to a secluded place, almost trying to kill us.”
“Someone impersonated me and tried to kill you?” Si Mu was taken aback but immediately realized who might be behind it. “Was it the Worms?”
“This was the second time if we count the previous incident. They’ve come after me twice in a row. It seems like they really want to die. Do you know if they have any bases? We can’t always wait for them to come to us. Occasionally, I should pay them a polite visit too. It’s only right to return the favor,” Qing Mu said with a faint smile.
Hidden beneath his smile was a strong intent to kill. There was no doubt that those Worms were Qing Mu’s enemies. Eliminating them was a just cause.
Furthermore, Qing Mu’s advancement task was progressing rapidly. Eradicating the Worms would also bring him closer to gaining Dimensional Barrier powers.
Si Mu shook his head, disappointment evident on Qing Mu’s face. “I don’t know. In the past, I couldn’t even hide from them, so how could I possibly know if they have any bases?”
Qing Mu had hoped Si Mu might provide a pleasant surprise, but it seemed he didn’t have any information about the Worms’ whereabouts.
Qing Mu was disappointed that Si Mu didn’t have information about the Worms’ bases. However, he quickly regained his composure and asked another question, “There’s something I’m curious about. Can you answer it for me?”
Si Mu replied, “Sure, I’ll tell you anything I know.”
Qing Mu continued, “Can Worms or Natives mimic someone from a distance? For example, if they’ve never interacted with a person before, can they mimic that person and replicate their memories?”
Upon hearing this question, Si Mu couldn’t help but chuckle. His laughter seemed to treat the question like a joke.
“What are you thinking? It’s impossible to do something like that,” Si Mu said.
“If they could mimic someone from a distance, why would the Worms bother going out to find prey themselves?”
“It’s precisely because they can’t do such a thing that they have to go out and hunt for victims.”
“What you’re suggesting is completely impossible. If it were possible, the Worms could just mimic anyone they wanted from the comfort of their homes, right? They could mimic anyone at will, without any limits.”
“Why would you have such a far-fetched idea?”
Even Si Mu, a Native, found Qing Mu’s idea to be highly unrealistic and impractical.
